White House says leaked immigration plan a backup if Congress doesn't act

President Barack Obama speaks to students and guests during a visit to Hyde Park Academy High School on Feb. 15, 2013, in Chicago, Ill.

President Barack Obama’s draft immigration proposal is nothing more than a backup plan in case Congress fails to produce comprehensive legislation of their own, a White House official said Monday.

“The administration will be ready to move forward in the event the bipartisan process gets bogged down and is not able to produce a bill,” the administration official said. “But our focus remains on supporting the congressional process.”

The president set off a firestorm Saturday night when USA Today reported it had obtained a draft of the White House immigration plan. Republicans in Congress quickly panned the administration for leaking the proposal with no bipartisan input.

White House spokesman Jay Carney addresses whether the release of a draft immigration bill was done on purpose.

But the White House official said the administration was not “floating anything” and was “surprised” to find out the press had obtained the details.  Instead, the official said, the White House was simply preparing for the possibility that the current political climate could cause gridlock that would delay or prevent the president from following through on one of his campaign promises.

“We’ll be prepared in the event that the bipartisan talks going on on the Hill -- which by the way we’re aggressively supporting --  if those do not work out, then we’ll have an option we’re ready to put out there,” White House chief of staff Denis McDonough said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet The Press.”

White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough reiterates key principles in the administration's plan for immigration reform and its potential for passage on Capitol Hill.

But on msnbc on Monday, a former senior adviser to the president, David Axelrod, conceded that the administration likely made an error by circulating the memo to various government agencies and throughout the West Wing. “The mistake there was to disseminate it so widely in the administration that it got leaked, and I’m sure if they could they’d take that back,” he said.

The leak solicited immediate reaction from Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, who issued a statement saying the plan would be “dead on arrival” and calling it “a mistake” for the White House to draft a plan without consulting with Republicans in Congress.

Rubio is part of a bipartisan group of senators that announced last month that they had agreed on principles that could pave the way for a bill that would overhaul the nation’s immigration laws. Those tenets include creating a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants already in the country and developing a system to ensure employers don’t hire illegal immigrants.

The White House proposal would allow illegal immigrants to become permanent residents within eight years, as well as create a lawful prospective immigrant visa, require employers to check the immigration status of workers and provide more border security funding.

Since Obama’s re-election in November, fueled by Hispanic voters, the president has renewed calls for comprehensive immigration reform. News of the White House proposal came just days after the president lauded the Senate’s work during last week’s State of the Union address.

“As we speak, bipartisan groups in both chambers are working diligently to draft a bill, and I applaud their efforts,” Obama said. “Now let’s get this done. Send me a comprehensive immigration reform bill in the next few months, and I will sign it right away."

The White House official said the focus “remains on supporting the congressional process” and that after the draft became public late Saturday, members of the administration reached out to senators on both sides of the aisle.

Still, that did not stop Republicans from panning the proposals on the Sunday morning talk shows.

Rep. Paul Ryan, R–Wisc., said on ABC’s “This Week” that the leaked plan “tells us that (Obama is) looking for a partisan advantage and not a bipartisan solution.”

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., talks about immigration reform and gun control initiatives in the White House and Capitol Hill.

On NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain, a member of the group of senators working to craft a bipartisan immigration bill, called on the president to shelve his proposal and allow Congress to continue working on legislation.

“I believe we are making progress on a bipartisan basis,” said McCain. “I believe we can come up with a product.”

And the White House says it is still optimistic that a solution can come from Congress. “The President is pleased by current state of progress being made by bipartisan efforts on the Hill and the Administration looks forward to continuing to work with them,” said the official.

When will the President get behind his promised initiative to balance the budget of 4 years ago? I guess Obama feels only some of his promises are important (like the promises that aren't important to most "legal Americans").

I posted this at #20, but I thought I'd post it again here, because I'm sure not all people will read all the way to #20. My thoughts are based not exclusively upon the article, but also upon some statements I heard on Chris Matthews today.

So President Obama puts forth an immigration plan that, in part, says that employers have four years to verify the legal status of their employees. That is a joke. Most illegal immigrants don't hold the same job for one year, let alone four. They jump from job to job, working for near minimum wage, dragging down the wages of legal Americans. Illegal immigrants have helped destroy most of the skilled trades in this country because they do entry-level labor for dirt wages, never sticking with the same job long enough to take pride in the quality of their work. By skilled trades I don't mean picking crops; I'm thinking more along the lines of construction related livelihoods.
Lots of jobs that were once considered "arts" are now nothing more than hours of labor on a short term balance sheet. Think roofing, or framing, or even drywall (yes, drywall was once an art; something that required patience and skill, but today you can't look at a wall of new construction without seeing every seam along the plane). Chances are your new roof (or skylight) will leak, and you can't even count on your newly framed house not to twist in the wind or sag into the ground.
The only solution to the illegal immigration problem is to use the E-verify system in the way it can and should be used: Impose severe penalties upon employers for employing illegal immigrants for even one day. Anything else will make the problem worse and draw more across the borders.
Some people say that education system should be geared more towards the training of useful trades. But why would any American kid want to study a trade where he can only make near minimum wage working in slave-like conditions because he is competing against illegals who live ten to a room?
This independant (who has been voting Democrat) is praying that the Republicans will get their act together (drop the tea-party) and propose real solutions to the problems that matter so that this madness can stop!
Mr. President, you disappoint me!

What backup plan, and does his backup plan involve executive orders????? When will these president's realize that executive orders are not to keep campaign promises that have nothing to do with fixing the current state of affairs. In fact executive orders shouldn't be allowed period, the senate and house have to pass the bill period, Bush did this crap too, when will we as a people start to wake up and realize we've lost control of our gov't. And it needs to be reeled in quick fast and in a hurry before it's to late.

How about requiring employers to check the immigration status of workers FIRST, and then, after many of those illegal immigrants self-deport because they can't find work, we can deal 'humanely' with those still here.

Giving illegal workers a right to work up front just deprives legal AMERICANS of the few jobs available.

The Republican Party disgusts me. The Grand Racist Party isn’t fooling anybody, of course they would reject the Presidents plan for immigration these racist jerks oppose anything that President Obama is for. They do this not because the Presidents proposals are bad because many of the proposals they have rejected are their own proposals.

They continue down this road of obstruction because they’re racists. It drives them crazy that a black president legally elected by the people [twice] is smarter than the white guy that cheated his way into office in 2000 and 2004. They would rather have an incompetent white man in office than a competent black man. I know all the Republican/Tea Party types will disagree but all of us are used to that group denying reality everyday so they have NO credibility.

When all the song and dance and political hoopla dust has settled, 95% of all illegal immigrants now in America will still be illegal, and in America.

How many of the twelve (chuckle) million illegal immigrants now in America will agree to register, disclose place of residence, agree to background checks, pay fines and back taxes, learn English and go to the back of the immigration line ?.............Maybe 5% at best.

And of those 5% who do qualify and agree to jump through all the hoops, what will happen in the way of future immigration status of family members who cannot, or do not care to qualify ?

If we are to solve the illegal immigration problem once and for all we must target Americans who employ illegal immigrants and make it possible for them to survive over long periods of time in America. We must make it a felony to employ an illegal immigrant, and enforce the law in earnest.

There is a right and wrong way to become an American citizen, and we must not reward those who willfully disrespect our laws

O's demand insistence upon the complete sell out the American worker (and LEGAL immigrants) in favor of ILLEGAL FOREIGN NATIONALS IS POSITIVELY UNFORGIVABLE!!!

American leaders (including O) are supposed to be representing the best interests of AMERICAN CITIZENS and LEGAL IMMIGRANTS rather than tripping over each other to sell out the American worker (whose opportunities and rights are being devastated-- hitting poorer and working class Americans the hardst and disproportionately impacting minorities). Instead, the fools in office now (namely O, for whom I voted in '08 but not in '12) are engaging in this pandering display in favor of the ILLEGAL FOREIGN NATIONALS, their offspring, and their insufferable advocates!

Pledging rewards and special treatment incident to immigration lawbreaking now is the WORST WAY to demonstrate a commitment to enforce our immigration laws in the future. Reagan's 1986 Amnesty is Exhibit A, evidencing the fact that rewarding ILLEGALITY only serves to further incentivize MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS MORE INSTANCES OF LAWBREAKING IN THE FUTURE? Indeed, a commitment to reward lawbreaking will only serve to engender more lawbreaking in the future and that will be followed by demands for special treatment for that lawbreaking-- JUST LIKE NOW!

The ONLY thing that is "broken" is our leaders' commitment to enforce the very laws they are legally duty-bound to enforce! We permit 1 Million LEGAL immigrants into this country each year (more than all other countries combined). The issue is NOT whether we choose immigration vs. no immigration. The correct issue IS whether the lawbreakers (the ILLEGAL FOREIGN NATIONALS) will be rewarded and granted special treatment for their lawbreaking!

A GOVERNMENT WHICH REFUSES TO ENFORCE ITS OWN LAWS IS INTOLERABLE!

TO ALL OF THE DISHONEST FOOLS WHO MAINTAIN THE FALSE AND INANE POSITION THAT ILLEGALS DON'T UTILIZE AMERICAN TAXPAYER FUNDED SERVICES AT A DEVASTATING RATE, please consider the following:

1. The Miami Herald, February 12, 2013 article entitled: $2 Billion Medicaid Program Helps Mostly Illegal Immigrants:

. . . During the debate over the 2010 federal health care overhaul, Democrats promised that illegal immigrantswouldn’t be among the 27 million people who’d gain coverage. President Barack Obama repeated that pledge last month when he outlined his immigration plan.

But while federal law generally bars illegal immigrants from being covered by Medicaid, a little-known part of the state-federal health insurance program for the poor pays about $2 billion a year for emergency treatment for a group of patients who, according to hospitals, mostly comprise illegal immigrants. Most of it goes to reimburse hospitals for delivering babies for women who show up in their emergency rooms, according to interviews with hospital officials and studies. . . .

2. The Miami Herald Editorial Board reported on February 14, 2010, and I quote:

Caring for undocumented residents cost Jackson $150 million last year, about as much
as it received from the voter approved half-penny sales tax.

3. Also, as posted on the LA County Leader Antonovich's website:

January 19, 2011 -- Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich released figures from the Department of Public Social Services showing that in November 2010, $53 million in welfare benefits ($22 million CalWORKs + $31 million in Food Stamps) were issued to parents who reside in the United States illegally and collect benefits for their native-born children in Los Angeles County -- representing an increase of nearly 3 million from November 2009. This amounts to approximately 22% of all CalWORKs and Food Stamp issuances in the County.

In 2009, CalWORKs and Food Stamp issuances to illegals totaled nearly $570 million. Based on the monthly figures in 2010, the total cost for the year will exceed $600 million.

"When you add this to $550 million for public safety and nearly $500 million for healthcare, the total cost for illegal immigrants to County taxpayers exceeds $1.6 billion dollars a year – not including the hundreds of millions of dollars for education," said Antonovich.

4. On April 3, 2011, the Seattle Times reported as follows:

As the state Legislature looks for ways to close a $5 billion budget shortfall, lawmakers are eyeing millions in cuts that could reduce or eliminate services used by illegal immigrants. Washington is projected to spend more than $300 million over the next two years on services illegal immigrants can tap, primarily welfare and health care for children, the seriously ill and pregnant women.

Washington state estimates it will spend more than $300 million over the next two years on services illegal immigrants can tap, not counting K-12 education. A breakdown:

$125 million on health care for 7,400 pregnant women ineligible for Medicaid because of federal restrictions.

$73 million on welfare for children. The federal government requires proof that the children are here legally, but not their parents. This program also can't be changed.

$59 million for medical and dental coverage for 25,000 children from low-income families ineligible for Medicaid because they can't prove they are here legally.

$24 million for kidney dialysis and cancer treatment for 1,300 low-income people ineligible for Medicaid because they can't prove they are here legally.

$15 million for in-state tuition subsidies for students who have lived in Washington for at least three years. The state does not check legal status.

$5.6 million in nursing-home care for low-income undocumented residents.

Is my way or the highway. Another "leak" from the White House ,after Obama in The State of The Union speech urge Congress to pass Immigration Reform and path to citizenship with no conditions, no e-verify in place, no border secure in place, path to citizenship on sale for a few bucks. The fact is illegal immigrants do not need Citizenship to work and provide for their families, they do not need citizenship to travel abroad, they do not need citizenship to have SS benefits , but the most important , they do not deserve Citizenship in the first place and when they cross the border never was in their mind to be an American Citizen , so why such a hurry from Obama to give them citizenship. The most important difference from permanent Resident and Citizen is the right to vote , and what party has more Latino votes of course Democrats, Obama and Democrats do not care about Latinos, they don't care about the damages of the illegal immigration , they care about their vote only their votes. If we do not set the condition to make almost impossible for illegals to stay in this country, in a few years we are going to be in the same problem.

You forgot to include about $7-10 Billion per year to incarcerate illegal immigrants convicted of 'serious crimes' in this country. They cost California alone over $1 Billion per year, and account for over 27% of ALL prisoners in the country - and these are serious crimes that actually result in jail sentences, not the petty things that usually get probation.

Anybody that claims that illegal immigrants don't commit a disproportionate percentage of the crimes is obviously wrong. They make up only about 4% of the residents in the country, yet constitute 27% of prison inmates.

The total Deficits ('credit card debt') for Bush's first 4 years amounted to only $819.8 Billion ($205 Billion/yr).
The total Deficit ('credit card debt') for Obama's first 4 years amounted to $5,095.2 Billion (1,274 Billion/yr).

I can sympathize with the plight of the illegal immigrants, and their reasons for wanting to be here and try to better their lives. The thing I don't like is that they are here illegally and put our laws secondary to their needs, and then get rewarded by our government for violating those laws! It should be a felony to be here illegally, and we should actually have the penalties strictly enforced! They often are breaking multiple laws besides being illegal immigrants, such as driving without insurance, vehicles that aren't inspected or registered properly, due to their lack of money and again putting our laws secondary to their needs! This is done to the detriment of legal citizens of the US, who wind up being financially at risk because of this behavior! I won't even get into the aspect of money spent by our government to assist them in being here illegally! We already went through Amnesty , which wasn't supposed to happen again!

Let's see now - For the 5 years before the Bush tax cuts (1999-2003) the total Federal Revenues were $9.479 Trillion, but in the 5 years AFTER the Bush tax cuts (2004-2008) the total Federal Revenues were $11.533 Trillion for an increase in revenues of $2.054 Trillion (+22%).

Gee, I wonder if maybe those tax cuts generated much more total revenues IN SPITE of the lower tax RATES, because of a dramatic increase in economic growth (despite the bad effects from 9/11) from consumers having more money to spend?

Of course, the liberals would never admit that those Bush tax cuts worked as planned, would they?

I find it humorous that liberals insist that the Bush tax cuts could not have created economic growth, but at the same time claim that the end of the Bush tax cuts for the middle class would have 'devastated' the economy. Somehow, I don't think logic is one of their 'long suits'.

Great lesson we are teaching our children. If you don't believe in our current immigration policy it is okay to to ignore it. Rich liberals will then reward all the people that trespassed illegally because they were doing it for their families.

Whether the laws should be changed or not is one issue, but the current law has been the same for many years and is still be trampled on. I don't believe we should arrest all of the illegals, but they shouldn't be rewarded either.

Can't we help by giving work permits instead of full citizenship?

Roy, Thanks for your reply. But would you provide a link (to a credible source) for your numbers? I know you'll say anything to try to put Obama in a bad light but you are wrong, my GOP TP friend.

Here is one link for you to read. This report is from 5/2012 and shows a $5.1 trillion cost for Bush/Cheney policies from 2001 to 2009 and $983 billion cost of Obama's policies through his first four years. They don't jive with your numbers do they.

For the last 12 years we have been living under the GOP passed laws that gives Big Business and the wealthy all the big tax breaks while the poor and middle classes hope to get the "trickle down". How has that worked for us? These policies caused the 2nd worst depression the US has ever had. Why do you still support these policies? Why would anyone?

Billions are spent annually pay for uninsured illegals visits to clinics and ER's for all manner of ills and childbirth. Billions are spent housing illegal criminals in our jails and prisons and billions more spent to support their families while they are jailed. A great number of these illegals refuse to l earn the english language, refuse to honor and respect American customs and totally disrespect American laws. Why can illegal get behind the wheel of an unregistered/uninsured vehicle with NO drivers license while DRUNK, wreck, kill and maim legal citizens then NOT GO TO JAIL OR GET DEPORTED?????? One of those senators, Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said Obama's bill repeats the failures of past legislation and would be "dead on arrival" in Congress.

"It fails to follow through on previously broken promises to secure our borders, (and) creates a special pathway that puts those who broke our immigration laws at an advantage over those who chose to do things the right way and come here legally," Rubio said. "It would actually make our immigration problems worse."

Isnt that the goal? Bankrupt the US sooner than later?

Mexican government officials must have a grin from ear to ear right now. Last time they got amnesty for about 3 million. This time it might be over 10 million. They are probably already making plans on how to efficiently dump more of their peasant population in America and thinking about the money they will save in welfare cost and the tens of billions of U.S. dollars that will be sent back to Mexico. What a fantastic deal this is for them. They are probably planning private parties to celebrate getting rid of their unwanted peasant population and getting paid to do it. What a deal!

And of course, ROFLTAO at the silly Americans!!!

In reality, most of those who disrespect any public figure is doing so mostly out of political policies, not because of any genuine dislike. And before all the naysayers weigh in, please remember, how many of the posters on these forums know any big public figure personally? No, people don't like the policies, and that is where the disrespect is directed.

President Barack Obama’s draft immigration proposal is nothing more than a backup plan in case Congress fails to produce comprehensive legislation of their own, a White House official said Monday.

I wonder how long it took them and how much debate went on to finally decide to put BO's name on it? At first it was the White House's plan.

I really feel bad for the American people. I think that a vast majority of Americans can agree that we need to seal the border before we create any other legislation dealing with those that are already here illegally. Unfortunately both parties see the opportunity to nail down future voters while looking past the legal US citizen voters that are here now. Seal the border and implement a serious e-verify program with criminal penalties for employers who knowingly hire illegals. Illegals will self-deport over a few year period. Then we can talk about reworking the legal immigration system. A bucket on the floor doesn't fix the hole in the roof.

Leaked plan is a backup if Congress fails to act, yeah right. Obama is only transparent when his administration is purposely leaking information, and this leak is setting the stage for Obama to derail immigration talks in favor of blaming Republicans again. Obama has no interest in any immigration bill that Republicans support, his only interest is being able to blame them for no bill passing. So far Obama has been a dishonest negotiator who moves the goalpost when he gets what he claimed he wanted, and then he runs to the podium to blame Republicans. This is just setting the stage for yet another rerun. Obama has proven totally inept at getting anything done, he simply has no ability to negotiate or compromise, and he certainly cannot lead. But the blame game has been Obama's only success, and when something works you stick to it. Apparently the nation is getting a crash course in the quality of character it takes to be a community organizer.

RChoice

Can't we help by giving work permits instead of full citizenship?

Yes, illegal immigrants do not need citizenship and do not deserve it ,they only need legal documentation, Work Permit or Permanent Residence if they qualify. Granting with citizenship to illegal immigrants is a reward for violate our immigration Laws, because those people will be able to bring their families and relatives to this country. Legal immigrates have to wait more than 5 year to come to our country with a Permanent Resident Visa , they have to pass back ground checks, health test, vaccinations and many more , but illegals don't. If illegal immigrants get path to citizenship like Obama wants, this will be an slap on the face of law abiding immigrates , to the fairness of the legal immigration and will make a joketo the fundation of our immigration system and border security. By the way the majority of countries do not provide citizenship to babies from illegal immigrates , this is another loophole that need to end.

Rick: Have to agree with you there. But what can you do when the intelligence of the President was already questioned by his failure to show us his college grades? It shows thinking wasn't his strong suit to begin with. Had he been born a different color, I doubt he would have been president.

Bottom line is the President will pass this whether you like it or not. He needs to fulfill his vows he made to the special interest groups that the govt. will support them ( in whatever way you think that means). He allowed his aunt and uncle to stay in the country, even though they were illegal so of course he is already swayed toward that point.

Obama is all about amnesty. So do you think Obama would support a provision in the bill that would prohibit any amnesty recipient from being able to vote in any election for 25 years? They came here illegally, why is that not a fair provision? After all, the Obama push for amnesty has more to do with whom he feels they will vote for then anything else.

If that was true why didn't Bush have 1+ Trillion dollar deficits for 8 years? Why did the debt raise 4+ Trillion under Bush over 8 years but has gone up by 4+ Trillion under Obama in less than 5 years?

Because Bush loved his "funny money" games. Do you really think his budget contained ALL the spending he did?

Let's just look at the national debt under his administration:

end of 2000 - debt = $5.7T

end of 2001 - debt = $5.8T +$100B

end of 2002 - debt = $6.2T +$400B

end of 2003 - debt = $6.8T +$600B

end of 2004 - debt = $7.4T +$600B

end of 2005 - debt = $7.9T +$500B

end of 2006 - debt = $8.5T +$600B

end of 2007 - debt = $9.0T +$500B

end of 2008 - debt = $10.0T +$1T

end of 2009 - debt = $11.9T +1.9T

After he and a Republican-dominated Congress got started, Bush never ran below 1/2T added to our national debt. In 2009 (Bush's last budget, signed into law before Obama ever took office, ended on 9/30/2009) added a whopping $2T to our national debt! Obama hasn't come close to that number!

And, as you can see from the numbers above, Bush started with $5.7T, left with $11.9T, which means he raised the debt by $6.2T!!! NOT $4T

I think most people believe that the day a President takes office, the budget is their responsibility. It's not the case. It's like a freight train, ever press the brakes and it stops instantly? Nope, it keeps going. Partisan politics make it easy for people to dump everything on President Obama but it's just not the case.

That being said, he could put more effort into lowering the deficit.

    #1.77 - Tue Feb 19, 2013 9:26 AM EST

Nothing this administration does is an accident. This was leaked for a reason that they carefully calculated. My guess is that by floating a plan that Congress would never pass, the president sets himself to once again be seen as the hero of "the people" who wanted so much more for the people than the "evil congress" was willing to give. I can hear him now... "While this plan falls well short of what we would have hoped for, I am willing to compromise and believe that it's a step in the right direction." And once again, the evil republicans in congress will have kept the benevolent Barack Obama from taking care of all the little people. He is becoming way too predictable, but the media and the masses keep falling for it.

Republicans control both the House and Senate

      • 2000 $236,241B Surplus
      • 2001 $128.236B Surplus

Republicans control House and Senate evenly divided

      • 2002 $157.758B Deficit
      • 2003 $377.585B Deficit

Republicans controlled both the House and Senate

      • 2004 $412.727B Deficit
      • 2005 $318.346B Deficit
      • 2006 $248.181B Deficit
      • 2007 $160.701B Deficit

Democrats control both the House and Senate.

      • 2008 $458.553B Deficit
      • 2009 $1,412.688B Deficit
      • 2010 $1,293.489B Deficit
      • 2011 $1,299.595B Deficit

You should also remember that the only a continuing resolution was passed for the 2009 budget prior to President Obama’s inauguration and then the Budget was passed. I take over with deficit of 200 billion. increase it by 100% for the next 3 years. that would be 1.6 trillion by the 3rd year. Next person comes in they spend only 50% more than my last year, so they spend 2.4 then another 50% 3.6 then just a slight gain. 3.8 trillion dollars. sure I had 100% incease for 3 years. and the next person only had 50% for 2 years and .2% the 3rd year. who spent MORE.

3.0 trillion deficit for my 4 years. if you have the slight gain the next person would of had over 12 trillion in deficit.

They are going to run background checks on these people. So does that fact that they crossed the border ILLEGALLY count against them. I think the punishment for crossing the border ILLEGALLY should be one year in jail. Not absolution. THEY BROKE THE LAW. They should not be absolved from their crime. Why is their crime any less of breaking the law then say stealing a car?

Obama promised to absolve law breakers so he could get elected President. And you Liberals fell for it.

I was just reading the LA Times this morning and came accross this passage from the article itself:

For his part, Obama has said he would not submit his own legislation to Congress so long as lawmakers acted "in a timely manner." If they failed, he said, "I will send up a bill based on my proposal and insist that they vote on it right away."

11 million?? Do you understand that number?? Anything above 2 million is unacceptable. 11 million undocumented immigrants which mean to say that their identities are unknown, and possibly have been tampered with (are they terrorists?).

Obama plans to encourage more border-crossing from his proposed bill that is what he really meant about this so-called bill...more border-crossing to support political patronage, and they're pouring in as we speak!!!

Green card in eight years should only be reserved to those who underwent inspection, and have a valid reason to be here in the U.S. There is nothing wrong about our immigration laws, they just happen to have not been implemented through the decades, because of political pandering and corruption, that's why we the citizens have been dealt this problem in the first place. If the bi-partisan efforts fail, who cares? We did not ask for these illegals to be here, but now that politics have taken center stage we are obliged to pay for illegal immigration out of our own taxes. Deportable aliens should be deported. In regards to the President's proposal, it's plain and simple AMNESTY which is coined in the phrase "path to citizenship."

Too much free loading is wrong for the country--a lesson that the White House must learn. But of course I know they will disagree.

There is only one little problem with your statement. What the President requests is usually ignored by the House, where ALL spending legislation is created. After Bush requested $3Trillion, the Democratics (who had majorities in BOTH the House and Senate) sent a budget to President Obama (H.R. 1105) in March 2009 that amounted to $3.5T. Two months after Bush left office. Now which party spends more?

"As we speak, bipartisan groups in both chambers are working diligently to draft a bill, and I applaud their efforts," Obama said. "Now let's get this done. Send me a comprehensive immigration reform bill in the next few months, and I will sign it right away." The White House official said the focus "remains on supporting the congressional process" and that after the draft became public late Saturday, members of the administration reached out to senators on both sides of the aisle.

If the president truly supports BIPARTISAN efforts at immigration reform why is he sticking his nose into the process? If he wants to be a part of the discussion than he should sit down with senator Rubio and the other senators, in front of cameras and have a good old fashioned debate. He won't of course because he is a coward. Romney exposed the depth of his ignorance and lack of statesmanship in the first debate.

Mr. Obama reminds me of the loud mouth who trash talks in a bar and then hides under the table when a fight breaks out. Of course when you have Air Force one at your disposal, you instead get to fly off to Florida for a round of golf with Tiger Woods while your lackeys obfuscate your true motives to a compliant press.

I have friends who have waited OVER 20 years to LEGALLY get an immigration visa to come to the US. This plan allowing illegals to get their citizenship ahead of the huge number of people around the world who have been waiting to do it the right way is a travesty!

I've made a petition (link below) at Whitehouse.gov addressing this very issue. I would very much appreciate any who can take a few minutes to go to their website and sign the petition.

"His name is Obama. He is our President. He is listening to the majority. The majority want immigration reform. The majority want gun control."

The majority did not want Obamacare, the majority wanted the mental heath system fixed, and the majority does not want amnesty. Obama is listening to the money not the majority.

            From the news article:

our focus remains on supporting the congressional process.

The President absolutely supports the normal democratic process...by working with Congress. But if Congress misbehaves again, the President is ready with this back-up plan - a trigger that may be necessary if the Do-Nothing-Congress (mostly Do-Nothing-House) still does nothing ... other than collecting a pay check.

            .

... a great strategic move by the White House.

            I mean...the leak is a great tactic.

Yep, those "leaks" identified in my post # 1.37 worked really great.....just ask the Doctor who is in prison, Israel who is disgusted with this administration, and the Yemeni double agent (if you can find him/her).....so why shouldn't a "leak" on Mr. Obama's Amnesty program be any different ?

Talk about do nothings in the Congressional Halls.....first name to arise is Mr. "Pocket Veto" Reid.

Mr. Obama said he couldn't get ANYTHING done sitting in the Oval Office. So why doesn't he just submit his resignation ?

Wait a dad gum minute.....all those "bennies" would go out the window.

Time for another "date night" in NYC. The Obamas have to get together again and discuss their recent vacation trips.

Maybe if this Obama would be a leader not a dictator they may get work done. But right now they are on damage control to stop your God dictator from destroy this country.

Obama does things behind their backs this is a good example. And if I remember he threatens them every time he wants something almost like a 6 year old having a crying fit. I also remember your god saying how he will be the most transparent POTUS but yet he tossed out the media will golfing with Tiger. Then he gave a report to the media but off the records. Yep transparent..

We do not need more people in this country. We have war vets that come back and can't find jobs but you you morons want to give 11 plus million legal status.

Our war vets deserve better when they come back.

This Obama will destroy this country and you all are to blind to see it.

Now to add to gun control they now want to set up where the police can come into my home once a year to check my gun. Yep on step closer to complete confiscation...

Plan A (Senate) ...and Plan B (Obama) - both grant universal amnesty immediately upon the signing of the Bill. Border Security? In the Senate Bill a vague "suggestion" that something will occur; Obama has no intention of securing the border. Same old lies folks.

WOW I see you HATERS are still full of $HIT. The dems are the ones that put in place the rules & regulations that CRIPPLED this economy. Dodd & Frank are the ones that drew up the policies. Then in 2010 they re-wrote them trying to fix the problems they cause the first time around. It was Barney Frank that told congress that Fannie & Freddie would NEVER need any government ASSISTANCE. to date we the tazpayers are stuck holding the 180 billion dollar debt for them. How do you LIBERALS let these crooks stay in office is that what your party is about. FU CKING THE ECONOMY & the people of America.

All politicians lie to us Theo. Even Obama has told outright lies.

But as far as the lies relative to the Iraq war, here is an assessment of the official report by chairman Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.):

On Iraq's nuclear weapons program? The president's statements "were generally substantiated by intelligence community estimates."

On biological weapons, production capability and those infamous mobile laboratories? The president's statements "were substantiated by intelligence information."

On chemical weapons, then? "Substantiated by intelligence information."

On weapons of mass destruction overall (a separate section of the intelligence committee report)? "Generally substantiated by intelligence information." Delivery vehicles such as ballistic missiles? "Generally substantiated by available intelligence." Unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to deliver WMDs? "Generally substantiated by intelligence information."

Senator Obama gave a speech to a predominately black audience in New Orleans on June 5, 2007 and told them that the government didn't waive the Stafford Act so the Katrina's victims could get aid from the government.

In fact, two weeks earlier the Stafford Act had been waived allowing New Orleans to get funds. The senate voted 80-14 in favor of the waiver. One of the 14 senators voting AGAINST the waiver was Barack Obama.

He absolutely knew what he told the audience was false. Obama got in front of the audience and told them a premeditated, bald-faced lie for political gain.

Sadly, nothing has changed in DC. It's partisan politics as usual. "Forward" my arse.

Careful hs321 pointing out the hypocrisy or outright lies in Obama's statements makes you a racist. Labeling people as racist is why the mainstream media asks Obama what his favorite color is, and not why he told the lie you point out. Liberals simply do not care what Obama says or does, any means to their ideological end is justified. That includes telling a lie.

I wonder if Obama would support an amnesty bill for all our illegals if it contained a provision that stipulated that they could not vote in any election for 25 years? Seems fair, they came here illegally, but Obama wants to ignore that fact and make them a citizen immediately. Probably has nothing to do with how Obama feels they will vote. I would be okay with amnesty with that provision. How many liberals would be?

This is the very least we could do for all those who got into our country illegally. Start emptying your pockets everyone. This will require a good chunk of your take home pay.

You're asking a lot from an Obama voter.

Everyone against amnesty for illegals needs to go to www dot numbersusa dot com and take action through their action board. It's the most effective way for our side to get the message across.

I love the way people think Obama winning two elections was the statement of the millennium. Obama first beat who? McCain. No competition and after the economy had collapsed under a Republican. Is that really doing anything? Or simply a foregone conclusion?

And beating Romney, a guy so bad many Republicans didn't even bother to vote.

Gravity. Use it for a change.

Bottom line: Republicans have sacrificed our prosperity, hence, our national security and our competitiveness around the world. During the biggest financial crisis in world history, Republicans are not partners in problem-solving but instead chose to spread ridiculous notions and lunacy within its political base to foment hatred and racism while using obstructionism and sabotaging against every effort, idea and proposal from the Democratic side, somehow thinking this is a strategy for winning a permanent lock on power. And instead of representing the people who elected them, they insult their own base with nonsense while acting as a lobbying group for the wealthy and powerful - who really don’t need their help. Unfortunately, the Republican base takes all this in and then regurgitates it as political gospel, kind of like musical puke that spews across this nation and leaves the rest of the world scratching its head and holding its nose. During the Bush-Cheney era, the rest of the world was – literally – wondering if the United States was going fascist. This soured relations even with our allies. Obama has repaired a lot of that damage but still the Republican-Tea Party-Right Wing Cartel continues to work against our economic recovery, prosperity and security and play the same stupid game plan over and over and over again. Looking at all the chaos, damage and destruction, here and around the world, it is clear that the GOP-Tea Party-Right Wing Cartel is truly the enemy within. Their product of hate, self righteousness, greed, narcissism, etc. has been, and continues to be, the undoing of our formerly great nation. Thanks to Republicans of all stripes, the U.S. has little credibility on issues such as human rights, freedom and fairness. Again, Obama has done much to repair these but in some cases the damage done is permanent; for example, the invasion of Iraq by the Bush-Cheney administration. Neither G.W. Bush nor Dick Cheney (Dickless Cheney actually) dare travel overseas for fear of being charged with war crimes. Looking at the history of the Republican Party, just since 2000, the incompetence, corruption and damage are blatantly clear….

Will, Willya? The invasion of Iraq was done under Congressional approval with a Democratic majority. President Obama sent troops into Afghanistan, drones world wide, probably the only thing he has done right. Lyndon Johnson escalated the Viet Nam War and killed 58,196 U.S. Soldiers, and all without a fart in the wind from Congress let alone approval. Somehow that makes you feel proud to be a Democrat?

Will.... the democrats voted to go to war in Iraq too. They soon said that they weren't for it, as typical liberals do. They speak out of both sides of their mouths. I, personally would take what I was making when Bush was president compared to what I make now that Obama has become our president.

dr821 - If you think it is liberals who own the illegal problem you need to re-learn history. It was the Republican god Reagan who granted amnesty thereby encouraging more people to come here. GW Bush tried to grant amnesty but he was thwarted. Just follow the money. It is big Ag, big sweatshop and rich people who want cheap labor to care for their grounds and children who hire most illegals - in short Republicans. Republicans don't want to pay minimum wage or provide benefits so they love illegals.

If you are referring to Simpson-Mazzoli it was a bipartisan act written by Romano Mazzoli (D) and Alan Simpson (R). Reagan signed it with the agreement that the new laws included in the bill would be enforced including criminalizing the act of knowingly hiring an illegal alien. Unfortunately the amnesty happened and the stricter enforcement didn't. Apparently no one seems to understand that it didn't work last time & likely won't work again.

The sad truth is neither side has done much of anything to fix immigration.

All you did with your statement was prove that the Republicans care about American people and your god does not.

If you DEMS cared about those lives you should of had an investigation but you did not and now cry when we the people want to know why Hillary killed those four men. And what does she say WHAT DOES IT MATTER. Yep you DEMS are heartless..

I will give you a clue the only reason you don't investigate those is because it was all in the open not like your god as transparent as he thinks he is hide the truth.

How you may ask next and I will LOL at you. Lets see they lied when it happen then when ask was told nothing was done when it was happening. They even found out your god did not even make a call about it for days.

And if you go back and read about those you posted you will find out things where done when it was happening. Unlike the 4 men under Hillary's watch..

So get over the Bush blame game you DEMS use that to hide the fact your god you voted for SUCKS..

The overwhelming question is that if President Obama gets his way, with the open border fanatics pushing for a Path to Citizenship, whether the illegal aliens go to the back of the line or not? How are we going to stop the relayed word going out from the underestimated 11 million foreign nationals already squatting here from calling out to friends, relatives and others to immediately storm a path to America, before the new amnesty is signed into law? What is going to stop another stampede of indigent people at the borders, or potential visa overstays from coming here? Enforcement is really strained at the border with the U.S. border Patrol loss of morale, as the single line fence is merely constructed in only areas heavily populated. What contingency plans has Homeland Security have in mind, for the sudden rush towards the borders or an escalation in visitors wanting airline flights and the demand for tourists visas; we don’t even track those who come here to visit, essentially to vanish with little or no chance of finding them. How many millions of illegal aliens already have a job waiting, a place to stay being accommodated by a friend or family member?

It’s imperative we have barrier, equivalent to the State of Israel that they have built with our funds, to halt smuggling, terrorists and other rationale. Are we brain dead to think that the majority of politicians haven’t been indoctrinated by special interest groups not to enforce immigration laws, as was with the 1986 travesty? Are we so naive to think that if we really earnest to enforce immigration regulations, that entering without permission would invite a felony prosecution? The laws a cleverly stacked against the American people, because of dire greed and financial persuasion? This is not just about Liberals and their pathetic agenda, but the elites in the GOP as well. There is a third government that runs each administration, a shadow government that runs an underground of spreading financial joy amongst the politicians in Washington and that is the unfortunate wealth of the “K” street lobbyists’ mentors.

Before any new immigration law is enacted through the consent of either parties, or the underhand careful exploitation through presidential executive orders the real two double tier fence must be constructed, with only limited access of ports of entry. To repeat the only fence ever viewed on television; the media is what is seen constructed in sectors of mass human activity? Once outside these regions there is nothing to deter the foreign nationals streaming into our sovereign country. There are hundreds of miles of open land, with few obstacles and the bones of many litters these areas, including the mounds of human garbage left along trails used by drug smugglers and illegal alien invaders. Perhaps if prior and current government meant to halt the unfettered influx of people, they would have constructed President George Bush two restraining fences, known as the 2006 Secure Fence Act. However the two political parties conspired to sever funds, so we have ended up nothing comparable to these barriers? Learn more about the REAL double parallel fence, garlanded with 2,500 miles of concertina razor wire at the website of American Patrol, NumbersUSA. Until the American voters stops the dominant influence of special interest lobbyists’ illegal immigration will never end?

I rate Dr. Benjamin Carson, a pediatrician Neurologist for the Next President of these United States. He is a man of the People, not sidetracked by either political party who truly understands what must be done to save America. He is an Independent and spoke at a National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., last week.

NO LAWS SHOULD BE ENACTED UNTIL WE HAVE A SECURE BORDER.

The leaders of Google, Apple and Facebook gave/raised tens of millions to re-elect Barack Obama. Facebook is going to pay NO taxes—in fact it will get a “refund” of over $400 million. Connect the dots—this is the Chicago Way. We do not need to raise taxes—just get those who donated to Obama to pay their “fair share”.

                            • “Apple, which reported $40.4 billion in holdings overseas and had an effective global tax rate of 12.6 percent over the past three years
                            • eBay, which reported $10 billion overseas and had an effective tax rate of 15.3 percent over the past three years
                            • Google, which reported $24.8 billion overseas and had an effective tax rate of 17.6 percent over the past three years
                            • Yahoo, which reported $3.2 billion overseas and had an effective tax rate of 17.9 percent over the past three years
                            • Cisco, which reported $41.3 billion overseas and had an effective tax rate of 20.9 percent over the past three years”

Speaking of the shoddy work done as far as constructing border fences, the largest wall that I have seen is right at the border crossing in Naco, AZ. They have the border patrol checking vehicles going in and out of Mexico there; who in their right mind will cross right where there is a congregation of agents? What is humorous is watching the adults leading their children with their backpacks by the hand on the pedestrian walkway across the border from AZ into Mexico at 3:30pm; no one even looks at them.

                            @ Dave

Nice but you forgot the biggest one of them all and it totals almost as much as your whole total.

GE ( General Electric) has $215 billion overseas accounts alone. you know Buffet the one telling Obummer what to do..

And now Facebook will not pay taxes this year but will get $429 Million in returns. WTF

Yep Obama is on top of it.. LOL

"At a hearing on his nomination, Republicans blasted Lew with questions about his investment in a fund linked to the Cayman Islands and his time at Citigroup, especially a $940,000 bonus he received just before the bank got a taxpayer-funded bailout."

                            http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/02/13/us-usa-congress-lew-idUSBRE91C0B120130213

Same Cayman's Obama blasted Romney about, minus the bonus from Citi Group of course.

Repeat after me: Obama is hypocrite. Obama is hypocrite. Obama is hypocrite.

Is there any chance that we, the people that are getting screwed by Obama and most of congress, can get a copy of these plans? I am prepaired to take it again, as we always do get screwed by our government, but what I am looking for is the language that explains how an illegal alien is going to pay all the taxes he has evaded in the two or twenty years he has been working here and either not paying taxes or filing false returns claiming exaggerated exemptions for kids that don't exist or he has never seen. Most illegal aliens owe more money in taxes and fines than they will ever make. The Obama IRS refuses to collect taxes from illegal aliens and I can prove that to anyone that cares to read the documents. Will any of these plans lower the boom on these tax cheats or are they getting tax amnasty also?

You have no facts of your assertions. Why don't you wait to see the various versions of the bill as to details and then you can opine on the facts as you see them rather than the ones your are currently making up and passing along as facts.

B70732oC: Isn't that what Nancy Pelosi said about the Health Care bill - We have to pass it before we can read and understand it? We need to read and understand any immigration reform and what it will do to the LEGAL immigrants and how they will be spit on, stomped on, and generally ignored, BEFORE we give ANYTHING to the illegal aliens that have invaded our country.

She had an actual bill. You don't have the Senate version or the Executive version. So, you really have nothing to comment about yet. That was not the case with healthcare when Pelosi made that statement. Now, you do have the right to discuss what you think should be in an immigration bill. Any thoughts you care to share, or you just want to criticize something that does not exist yet.

So she had an actual Bill. Her words were,"We have to pass it to see what's in it." The stupidest words uttered by any politician of any party. Their job is to know what is in a bill before they decide to pass it or vote it down.

So NM East is at least curious to see what is in the proposed Immigration reforms before he decides whether he is for or against them. What a novel concept to some in this country.

Voting for any Bill without knowing exactly everything that is in it is dereliction of duty at best and should be grounds for removal from office. Otherwise what the hell purpose do they serve if they don't bother to know what they are voting for or against. But then I guess that knowledge isn't required if your vote is bought and paid for ? Which should be considered direct evidence of guilt of Bribery.

                            Other equally logical statements:

We have to drive to town to turn the headlights on.

We have to give him/her a Medical License to see if they can be a Doctor.

We have to hire someone to see if they can do the job.

We have to spend the money for it so we can see how we'll pay for it.

Get the idea ? Not a good way to do business, not a good way to run a country.

The Administration floated the proposal to let the public know that it wants to see a legal path to citizenship as part of any bill. If they don't see it in the Congressional Bill and the public is for it, he will threaten to veto Congress' bill. If there is no public pushback on the path to citizenship, then he will probably approve whatever comes out of the legislative branch. That is my take on the purpose of the leak.

Basically it's a trial balloon. Clinton was famous for sending out trial balloons to see if what he wanted was popular. Forget the character of a true leader where you hold a conviction that what you want is the right thing and you push for it with well-reasoned arguments.

Misdirection. Reminds me of the lines from Swordfish:

Gabriel: Have you ever heard of Harry Houdini? Well he wasn't like today's magicians who are only interested in television ratings. He was an artist. He could make an elephant disappear in the middle of a theater filled with people, and do you know how he did that? Misdirection.
Stanley: What the f... are you talking about?
Gabriel: Misdirection. What the eyes see and the ears hear, the mind believes.

Obama is a master at misdirection.

I wonder if more leaks will be coming from the white house or if it will spread to congress.

I also wonder if congress will delight in the fact their house is just as insecure as the white house.

Who cares what Right Wing bloggers and others think. What’s important here is that we are witnessing the death throws of the Republican Party. They are kicking and screaming but to no avail. Thus, coming soon is the inevitable end of the Republican Party and its cohorts, the Tea Party and Right Wing base. GOP = Grim Ornery Pricks = Grimy Old Politicians = Gross Old Partisans = Groping Oily Palms, etc, etc. Whatever their true title - they are history. They have already destroyed millions of families and businesses, created world chaos and destroyed our reputation abroad. Revolt against these antiquated slobs and the Right Wing "Puritanical" Tea Party and their supporters. Prosecute their corruption; their treason and honor and protect our Constitution. Honor "Separation of Church and State" - there will be no "Christian Fundamentalist" government in America. These Fundamentalist want to use tax dollars to fund "Christian" schools, forcing the decay of publican education, hence, forcing public schools to completely crumble, thus forcing ordinary kids to either go without any education or attend "Religious" schools and "Religious teachings" like "Creationism" and the "Bible". Time the launch a revolution against Republicanism and "Religionism" - both are political, religious, moral and patriotic frauds. I welcome the demise of both and their political and religious narcissism! They have inflicted enough damage on the United States of America - and the world.

"Honor and protect our Constitution" ??? You mean like the Executive Order machine does ? He has pulled off more end arounds of the congressional process than any other President. If he had written as many budgets as he has Executive Orders he just might have come up with one even his own party would endorse.

No other President, with the possible exception of Nixon, has had less regard for the Constitution.

We are now not even in the top ten of most prosperous nations, which we have been for as long as I can remember. This is what you want, falling from power? Other countries thumbing their noses at us for our weaknesses. Our debt is unsustainable. Our president mentions JOBS twice in his speech to the Union. He said BEFORE he was ever president that he wanted OUR gas prices to be as high as Europes. This is what you want? Some people out here were NOT fooled by his charm and ability to read a tele-prompter really well. We saw the TRUTH. You Obama VOTERS were fooled and we ALL will be punished because of it!

Bill; You have to look at what the Executive orders were, not just the number! When an executive order is used to make one branch of the Government obsolete or to make an end run around the Constitution it is considered a power grab!!! When it is done to fill a position that needs to be filled while all of Congress and Senate are out on vacation or some other reason it is what the executive order was meant to be used for. Unfortunately the majority of all of the execustive orders that obama has used have been used to go around the COnstitution or to make one branch of the government obsolete!!

It's not about jobs folks, for the umpteenth time. they have another agenda. Google Atzlan. Rescinding the 14th will stop illegal immigration dead in it's tracks. Guaranteed.

eg; all prober is saying is how great and wonderful obama is for the mexicans who have illegally entered into the USA and how glad he is that both him and all of his criminal border crosser buddies voted for obama!!

Like most criminal border crossers he does not think he should be required to speak english, he thinks that obama also needs to mandate that all of the USA citizens must learn to speak spanish also!!! That way all of the criminal border crossers will fill more at home!!!

If congress does not act on a bi-partisan plan, what makes him think they would act on his? May he going to continue playing KING and try to impose it unilaterally.

                                        Hey CO,

As you probably. know, the President can not do a lot of things on his own in the way of writing and passing laws. Let me ask you this. have you heard the plan that Sen. Marco Rubio has worked on, and the plan that President Obama has worked on, this being the immigration bill. I can not see any light between them. So what is the issue here ? You are totally correct, this IS total madness and the Tea Party is politically at fault. The Democrats are NOT near prefect, by no means. But the Republicans scream when the President doesn't come up with a plan and throw fire when he does ! Is it because they can't been seen as working with Obama. The one President that is so hated by the extreme right wing and other nuts. That the Republicans are so afraid of Norquist, the NRA and so on. That they can't been as working with him and if so they will lose their seats ! You tell me, because I am not seeing why, other then the color of Mr. Obama's skin or the fact he wants to do his job by "Serving the American People, in doing their business". I pray it is not the former. And they get the latter done, before we are ALL done !

You missed the boat. I am a Republican and not a nut case. I want the government branches to work the way they were intended. That doesn't mean that President Obama can do what he wants. If he doesn't like something he throws out a bill and jams it down the throat of the American people. Such as, the healthcare bill. Wow, is everyone now finding out what was really in that bill!!. Peel away the favors for all the votes in the bill that doesn't pertain to healthcare and you end up with garbage that we, The People, will pay for and get nothing in return. This is why we have branches of government to work together to put together a bill that is good for most. Obama just shoots at the hip and throws something together to prove he is working. After he puts the bill together, he leaves to go golfing for 10 days. It is the lack of leadership and the fact that he feels he can do anything he wants and if you don't like it he don't care. Remember what he said, He is the President, he won and he calls the shots.

The reason the conservatives on the right are "screaming and throwing fire" is because this little dictator wannabe has proven to the world that he believes can force his ideals onto a nation of citizens half of whom firmly stand firm against his bullying. His attitude is that if Congress won't give me what I want I'll issue a directive and dare them to over rule me.

They are so into the democratic process that they also voted for Kennedy and Slick Willy Clinton. This excludes the unions, welfare recipients, GBLTA whatevers, and previously nationalized illegals, of course..

But....not even the denizens of Rosemont could bring themselves to vote for Jimmy the Bean Carter.....

Barry Sotoro (may not be spelled correctly) is the fake (okay, maybe it was his real name and Obama is his Muslim name) that Obama used to get free education at Harvard posing as a foreign student. Of course he has sealed all of his college records so that no one can verify anything now. The Barry name is the real and virifiable name that he did use at Harvard.

Somebody is making Rubio shrewd. Rubio knows that if he can go after this bill and kill it...he'd be star in the Republican party and get support from a lot of people for his big election...including legal Latino immigrants, Cubans and other Caribbean who feel overwhelmed by illegals from Latin America that they are forced to compete with.

Both sides are trying to get their votes...but many cannot vote and will not vote for a long time.

And so pretty that I hardly can believe I’m real".

You are charming, so charming...it is alarming how charming you can be. But rest assured you'll be made unreal! Lllllal Lllall Lllall Llall laaaaaaa!
