Obama, Romney cap election eve with rallies in states that launched them

Updated 11:27 a.m. - President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney returned Monday evening to the states that launched their respective bids for the presidency, wrapping their campaigning ahead of Election Day.

Joined by their spouses, Obama returned to Iowa -- where he won the 2008 caucuses -- and Romney stopped in New Hampshire -- where he won the primary at the beginning of this year -- to bring to an end their long, hard battle over whom Americans would select as their president for the next four years.

"I've come back to Iowa one more time to ask for your vote," a visibly emotional Obama told a crowd near his first campaign office in Des Moines. "Because this is where our movement for change began. Right here."

"It's out of my hands now," he said. "It's up to you."

Mitt Romney holds a rally at Orlando Sanford international airport in Orlando, Fla., Nov. 5, 2012.

Both Obama and Romney seemed to drink in the adulation of their supporters in the closing hours of the campaign, before voters would take to the polls in fewer than 12 hours to render their verdict on the election.

"This is a special moment for Ann and for me, because this is where our campaign began," Romney said to a crowd in New Hampshire. "Your primary vote put me on the path to win the Republican nomination, and tomorrow your votes and your work here in New Hampshire will help me become the next president of the United States."

The stops mostly concluded the campaigning of the 2012 election. Romney was set to make stops Tuesday in Cleveland and Pittsburgh, and Republican vice presidential nominee would also stop in Cleveland and Richmond. Those stops, though, were billed as less formal than the giant, raucous rallies that have dominated the candidates' schedules in the closing days of the campaign.

Obama and Romney capped what was a "barnburner" final day of campaigning, as he and Romney hop-scotched across the country to make stops in the states on which they're relying tomorrow.

Ryan launches campaign 'barnburner' in Obama-leaning Nevada

So far, more than 4.5 million Floridians have already voted, sometimes after waiting in hours-long lines. NBC's Mark Potter reports.

Romney made a four-state tour through Florida, Virginia and Ohio – states that are critical to his hopes of becoming president – before concluding in New Hampshire, the cornerstone of Romney’s victory in the GOP presidential primary earlier this year, and the state neighboring Massachusetts, where Romney served as governor and his campaign is now headquartered.

Both sides agree, winning Colorado could be key. A recent NBC/WSJ/Marist poll had the race tied at 48 percent each. NBC's Mike Taibbi reports.

The president spent the day visiting Wisconsin, Iowa and Ohio -- the states composing his Midwestern "firewall," where he's sought to build an advantage over Romney.

Their schedules, coming on the heels of a jam-packed weekend of campaigning across the country by both the candidates and their surrogates, was nothing short of a “barnburner,” as Ryan put it at first rally of the day, in Nevada.

“We're doing a barnburner today,” Ryan said in the state, which is seen as leaning toward Obama in NBC News’ battleground map. “We are crisscrossing the country – Mitt and I are because we are asking you to work with us, to stand with us to get our country back on the right track.”

Both Obama and Romney stuck to well-worn scripts that they had used throughout the frenetic final days of the campaign. The candidates at times seemed to acknowledge that much of the campaign’s outcome might be out of their hands, pleading with supporters to sway a winnowing number of swing voters over to their cause.

How will the Hispanic vote and the white vote impact the presidential election? What about older voters and younger voters? How much of an impact will Hurricane Sandy have on voting? NBC News' Chuck Todd and Time's Mike Murphy join a conversation on the issue.

“Your voices are being heard all over the nation loud and clear, thank you,” Romney said in Virginia. “I also want to thank many of you in this crowd that have been out there working on the campaign – making calls from the victory centers, and by putting up a yard sign, in your neighbor’s yard and maybe convincing a coworker to vote for Paul Ryan and me.”

Obama kicked off his first rally of the day with rocker Bruce Springsteen, who would hitch a ride with the president to Columbus for an afternoon rally, which was also to feature rapper Jay-Z.

"I get to fly around with him on the last day I'll ever campaign, so that's not a bad way to end things," he said of Springsteen, who will accompany Obama to Columbus, Ohio, on Air Force One.

The state with 13 electoral votes could go either way in this election, and may play a critical role in determining not only the next president, but also which party will control the U.S. Senate. NBC's Tom Costello reports.

Both Obama and Romney’s schedules, though, sent a powerful signal about their fundamental strategy for Election Day.

The states Romney is visiting, for instance, are virtually essential for his hopes come Tuesday. Failing to win Florida, for instance, would force Romney to have to win every single other remaining battleground state.

Obama’s stops, meanwhile, suggested attentiveness to his so-called “firewall,” which Republicans have argued is cracking amid surging Republican enthusiasm in battleground states.

Campaigning with Mitt Romney and Barack Obama, voting and election results.

Vice President Joe Biden, during a stop at a cafe in Sterling, Va., predicted the bloc would hold.

“I think we’ll win Ohio, I think we’ll win Wisconsin, I think we’ll win Iowa. I think we’ll win Nevada, I think we’ll win new Hampshire,” he told reporters. He added that Florida would be “close,” but said he thought “have a real shot of winning” the Sunshine State.

As they made their final arguments to sprawling crowds throughout the day, both Romney and Obama got an assist from additional superstars who entertained audiences before rallies had begun.

Supporters hold a sign as President Barack Obama speaks at a campaign event at Fifth Third Arena at the University of Cincinnati, Nov. 4, 2012.

Obama was traveling with Springsteen and Jay-Z on Monday, but Katy Perry and John Mellencamp had played before other Obama audiences over the weekend. Romney’s rally on Monday in Ohio was also slated to feature the Marshall Tucker Band.

Both Springsteen and Jay Z each did special songs for the Obama campaign, in Jay Z's case, changing an epithet in one of his songs to reference Romney instead.

"If you're having world problems, I feel bad for you son," he said, "I got 99 problems, but Mitt ain't one."

In the past six presidential elections, Wisconsin has been reliably blue – but this year, thanks to Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan, the race is much tighter. NBC's Ron Mott reports.

After what feels like a lifetime, we are down to less than 24 hours before the polls open.

I only have one question, when did it become acceptable as Americans to make it more difficult to exercise our basic freedom of the right to VOTE?

Remember if you are already in line before the doors close, they can not turn you away!

Keep this number handy; 1-866- OUR VOTE!

Whatever you do, do NOT leave the line... YOUR VOTE counts!

MITT ROMNEY PAID ZERO TAXES 1996 - 2009:

Using a tax shelter called a CRUT (charitable remainder unitrust) that was held by the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons), Mitt Romney was able to pay zero taxes (legally) every single year from 1996 to 2009. Why did he stop in 2009? Because he would make public his 2010 tax return, that is why. This tax loophole was killed by Congress in 1997. However those including Romney that were already using it were allowed to continue it. The way it works, is that Romney makes a "charitable" contribution to the Church of Latter Day Saints and it goes into a trust. Since the trust is held by the church, the money is tax deferred. Any capital gains, are non taxed because of the charities status. Like an annuity, the donor gets a charitable tax deduction and an stream of cash payments. When Romney dies, the church accepts full ownership..

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/11/04/1155381/-Breaking-Romney-Paid-Zero-Taxes-From-1996-To-2009

Now we understand why Romney refused to show more than TWO Tax Returns.

Romney is a pathological liar who used Massachusetts's voters to give him a job. The only reason why he was ever interested in that job is to put on his resume for one thing he always wanted: the office of POTUS.

Anyone supporting this guy is in denial of who Romney really is. He doesn't give a f*ck about anyone except himself and his personal agenda. There has never been a more despicable man running for POTUS. I couldn't stand Romney as my governor. I can't stand him today even more today.

Trust has been a major issue with the Romney/Ryan ticket, Yes all candidates promise you the moon and stars, I am not talkng about that alone. I am talking about the blatant lies about themselves, and directly to our face, ie Making something sound right as rain, when it is really wrong as can be. This has been repeated many times in their bid for the white house.

I personally do not want those that lie right to my face with their finger on the button. This is a dangerous option. Those with children in the armed services need to know Romney has already irked China and Russia. Out of 21 countries only one wants to see Romney win, that is Pakistan. What does this tell you?

Romney has jeapordized his trust with the people,he has jeapordized his trust with parts of the world. His tax plan does not work mathematically, this is proven by tax experts that are unbiased. Romneys plan will raise taxes on the middle class, he says different, but never SHOWS different. Do your homework, you will see different.

Ryan lied directly to the public to make himself look better. To earn a nick name of Lyin Ryan and justifiably so, does not help his case in the trust category either.

Please do not vote on the past. Please vote on the future, to continue moving forward as we are today.

I recall my mother often talk over the years about the night before the 1960 election. There was a rally here in Boston at I think the Boston Garden for John F. Kennedy.

My mother, older brother and sister and uncle went into Boston to see him.

They never forgot it.

Everybody - please! - take the time to see President Obama today/tonite if you can. It's the last time you will ever have the opportunity to see him on the campaign trail.

Vote for America, not for your Norquist PUPPET because that's all Romney is:

"All we have to do is replace Obama. ... We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don't need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget. ... We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don't need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate. [...]

Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared."

that's all Romney is to Grover Norquist: a guy with a pen. You should be so proud!!!!!!!!!!!

as sad as this even was and is, four dead Americans will never equal to 3000 Americans dead as the result of the incompetent Republican Administration before 9/11.

Or where is your outrage about the total manipulation, lies, and misinformation of the Republican Administration to start a war with Iraq which resulted in thousands of American deaths and over hundred thousand of deaths of Iraqi men, woem, and children.

Where is your outrage about those deaths??????????????????

...care to comment on why our great leader lied about a protest over a video for 2 weeks in a pathetic attempt to justify a terrorist attack that left 4 brave American Patriots murdered?

Look at his speach at the rose garden. Obama does not once mention the film. Check his speech on Bhengazi at the U.N, he only says the film caused an uproar in the ME, not once does he directly blame this film on the attack in either speech with his own words. As far as Rice this was speculation, also you do not let terrorists know what you know to put them on the run. They stayed put and were caught at their headquarters.

Show me where Obama lied himself, you will not.

The chaos from this film was more than likely used as their opportunity to attack. Not a coincidence.

Outhouse: You really shouldn't be relying on daily kos for tax advice. First of all a CRUT must be an IRREVOCABLE trust which means once it is set up it CANNOT BE CHANGED. Therefore daily kos saying Romney changed it in 2009 is RIDICULOUS. Second the CRUT's annuity payments to Romney would be subject to federal and state income taxes.

Very interesting...

Here is a neon sign of desperation;

According to a report by Phoenix, Arizona’s NBC affiliate, Rep. Jeff Flake’s (R-AZ) U.S. Senate campaign called Democratic voters telling them to vote in the wrong precinct — in some cases as much as 11 miles away from their actual polling place. After telling the Democratic voters to vote in the wrong place, the calls also encourage the voter to “vote Flake for U.S. Senate.” Watch the report:

Electing obama has done more damage to America and Americans than anything I can think of or recall in recent history. We have become divided...Haves vs have nots...black vs white... Hispanic vs. black or white...men vs. women...gays vs. everyone else.

This is one of the Republican Party's 'Great Lies' that they keep repeating in hope of someone believing it.

Which party calls the wealthy 'job creators' worthy of lower tax rates, special tax classes, and special tax deductions?

Which party drafts legislation after legislation trying to take away a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions?

Which candidate said it was not his job to care about 47% of Americans: because they were 'victims', dependent on government, and would 'never' take personal responsibility for their lives?

Which party continually blows the racial dog whistle about 'food stamps', 'welfare', and taking back 'our America'?

One final question - if Pres. Obama is so divisive, why does he lead Mitt Romney in EVERY demographic group except for 'White Males'? That sounds pretty inclusive to me.

The House of Representatives will be essentially the same as now after the election, with Republicans in control with about 240 seats.

This means that a vote for Obama is a vote for several more years of 'GRIDLOCK', since Obama has demonstrated that he is either unwilling or unable to compromise with the Republicans.

Unlike Reagan and Clinton, who worked closely with an opposing Congress to get lots of good things done, Obama has made only one attempt to meet with the Republicans (on the Debt crisis), and even then he reneged on the 'deal' he made with Boehner.

With Romney as President, we will at least have some cooperation between the White House and Congress, and avoid more GRIDLOCK.

What happened to Romney's consistent lead in the national Rassmussen polls?

It seems that just like in 2008 Rassmussen is coming back in line with other polls so their final results will appear to be accurate.

Dont forget that until the final week in 2008 Rassmussen had Pres. Obama at only 50%, which then went up to 52% right before the election.

How will Rassmussen explain their inaccurate polling in Ohio and Wisconsin when Obama wins both states tomorrow?

Historically when voter turnout is low the conservatives win and when it is high the Liberals win. In 2000 only 47% of the eligible voters voted and we ended up with the worst president in the history of this nation. In 2010 only 38% of the eligible voters voted and the insane, magic vagina, earth is only 6000 years old, tea party took control of the house.

Rather you agree with all of Obama's policies or not, if you don't vote we will end up with Mitt from the Kolobian magic underwear cult as our president, so please don't let the Foxbots convince you not to vote.

If you are an undecided voter, then maybe looking at the events that occurred on September 11, 2012, should be enough of a reason to say goodbye to Obama. On September 11th, the American consulate in Benghazi was attacked, resulting in the death of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glen Dougherty. Since then, the Obama administration has produced so many stories about what happened, none of which resembles the truth!

...and you know the truth because...?

Do you know why Geraldo Rivera's claim of "Bloodlust" is so appropriate? It's because you want the death's of Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Dougherty to be the most horrific. You want it so badly that you'll buy into rumors of the ambassador's body being raped and sodomized. You'll buy into rumors of the President watching the events unfold in real time.

You want to take this seriously? Then start taking it seriously and stop buying into every rumor and innuendo as some kind of "fact".

Rasmussen still has Romney ahead today - 49% to 48% for Obama. In Ohio and Wisconsin, Rasmussen has them tied at 49% each, so it could go either way. After the election, I will post an analysis of pollster accuracy for the last 3 Presidential elections - it should be interesting. The results for 2004 & 2008 are in my next post below.

What's interesting is the disparity with Gallup, who historically has a pro-Democratic bias. Gallup shows Romney ahead by 5%.

When looking at polls issued by the media, many of which seem to vary widely, you might want to consider the 'Track Record' of the pollsters.

Here are the results from the 10 major pollsters who issued final polls in the 2004 & 2008 Presidential elections. (Source - Realclearpolitics);

Marist - Average error = 2.55% - Biased for the Democrats by 2.55%

CBS News - Average error = 1.05% - Biased for the Democrats by 1.05%

FOX News - Average error = 2.35% - Biased for the Democrats by 2.35%

Reuters/Zogby - Average error = 2.55% - Biased for the Democrats by 2.55%

CNN - Average error = 1.35% - Biased for the Democrats by 1.05%

NBC/WSJ - Average error - 1.05% - Biased for the Democrats by 1.05% - Now uses Marist (see above)

ABC/WP - Average error = 1.55% - Biased for the Democrats by 1.55%

Gallup - Average error = 3.05% - Biased for the Democrats by 3.05%

Pew Research - Average error = 0.95% - Biased for the Republicans by 0.95%

Rasmussen - Average error = 0.95% - Biased for the Republicans by 0.3%

You might notice that the vast majority had a pro-Democratic bias (defined as the average spread between their final polls and the actual result). Rasmussen had the least amount of bias.

Marist and FOX News had the most blatant errors - each called for Kerry to win by 1% to 2% in 2004, but Bush actually won by 2.4%.

We have been divided since Fox News has been the primary news source for many Americans. They play up such non-issues such as voter fraud (where are all the convictions) and Obama's place of birth (Hawaii, in case you did not hear that).

When scientific consensus on an issue such as climate change is disputed by Fox News and others on the basis of alleged and unproven allegations of scientific fraud and conspiracy, it is no wonder we are divided. We cannot even agree on the facts.

That Fox News and Rupert Murdoch feed the Republican base a different version of the world than the mainstream media is rationalized by Fox viewers as a liberal takeover of mainstream media even though it is owned by some of America's most dedicated capitalists.

If Fox viewers could join the fact based world, our country would be much less divided.

You are looking at final polling numbers, while in the polls leading up to the elections Rassmussen was off by a much higher number. Look at their 2008 polls a month or so before the election.

Rassmussen uses 'robocalls' to landlines only in the polls leading up to the election, THEN uses exit polling of early voters and makes some accomodations to account for cellphone users in their 'final' polls.

And what about the most recent elections in 2010? Rassmussen was the LEAST accurate of the major pollsters, and was biased towards Republicans by almost 5%.

We will see tomorrow how accurate Rassmussen is, and whether they change their 'final polls' to make themselves appear to be more accurate than they have been.

Nate Silver takes historical 'bias' into account in his statistical model and is predicting an over 80% chance of Pres. Obama being relected.

From FiveThirtyEight.com, on the 2010 election:

The table below presents results for the eight companies in FiveThirtyEight’s database that released at least 10 polls of gubernatorial and Senate contests into the public domain in the final three weeks of the campaign, and which were active in at least two states.

The most accurate surveys were those issued by Quinnipiac University, which missed the final margin between the candidates by 3.3 points, and which showed little overall bias.

The next-best result was from SurveyUSA, which is among the highest-rated firms in FiveThirtyEight’s pollster rankings: it missed the margin between the candidates by 3.5 points, on average.

SurveyUSA also issued polls in a number of U.S. House races, missing the margin between the candidates by an average of 5.2 points. That is a comparatively good score: individual U.S. House races are generally quite difficult to poll, and the typical poll issued by companies other than SurveyUSA had missed the margin between the candidates by an average of 7.3 points.

In some of the house races that it polled, SurveyUSA’s results had been more Republican-leaning than those of other pollsters. But it turned out that it had the right impression in most of those races — anticipating, for instance, that the Democratic incumbent Jim Oberstar could easily lose his race, as he eventually did.

YouGov, which conducts its surveys through Internet panels, also performed fairly well, missing the eventual margin by 3.5 points on average — although it confined its polling to a handful of swing races, in which polling is generally easier because of high levels of voter engagement.

Other polling firms that joined Rasmussen toward the bottom of the chart were Marist College, whose polls also had a notable Republican bias, and CNN/Opinion Research, whose polls missed by almost 5 points on average. Their scores are less statistically meaningful than that for Rasmussen Reports, however, because they had only released surveys in 14 and 17 races, respectively, as compared to Rasmussen’s 105 polls.

It is your right as an American to be able to vote.

This is the United States of America, not Iran. Every American 18 years of age and older is allowed to vote.

Do not let Republicans prevent you from voting.

What a JOKE!

Just another brain-washed fool regurgitating the party lines!

You want to see REAL voter suppression? Take a look back at the 2008 election and the role that the 'NEW Philly Black Panthers' and King Samir Shabazz played.

We have been divided since Fox News has been the primary news source for many Americans.

REALLY???? REALLY?????

You don't think it has anything to do with having a 'President' that makes statements like this:

No, no, no — don't boo, vote. Vote. Voting is the best revenge.

And this is just the LATEST EXAMPLE of the things he says and does to drive a wedge between Americans.

Messiah? More like the Anti-Christ!

To all those who don't like the word "revenge".

Al Gore won the 2000 election by over half a million votes.

But because the GOP was so scummy they stole the election, this country had to suffer through Iraq, Afghanistan, Abu Ghraib, 9/11, the total annihilation of America's values of truth and justice, and the greatest economic collapse this country has seen since the Great Depression.

Frankly, I think "revenge" in this election is too mild a remedy.

Call it "poetic justice" or "taking our country back" if that suits your vernacular better.

Either way, the fat lady is singing.

"It just doesn't matter".

Yes sir it does matter to milllions among millions, the whole world is watching sir. Many places on earth are at a turning point toward Demcoracy and are going through their growing pains, this includes voting in the wrong people into office, as Egypt is just now understanding. We need a patient understanding president, not another bully, that does not work, as we have learned in the past.

Many jobs are on the line if Romney is elected the states leaders are echoing this sentiment and is one of the reasons why Obama leads in Iowa and Ohio.

So it matters sir, this is not a movie. I must say though meatballs was one of my favorites growing up , but we are talkng about the world here sir,not some teen summer camp, it matters.

To those still beating the Benghazi drum:

Most Americans understand that when we go into very dangerous parts of the world, things happen.

Obama didn't send us there, but it sounds to most of us as though the GOP is trying to make political hay out of the tragic, but not unforeseeable, consequence of something your own party undertook.

The truth will be found. Adjustments will be made. The value of mistakes is what you learn from them.

But making a huge mistake in choosing our President based on this once incident is not rational.

The latest polls are clearly reflecting the fact that Obama won the last two debates and that he performed beautifully during the Sandy disaster. I think the Sandy leadership example (and the fulsome praise from Chris Christie) only reminded voters that Obama got Osama, and that he did a good job on the Gulf Shore oil spill, and that he ended the Iraq war. Events and performance do matter. Bush screwed up Katrina and then praised "Brownie" for doing a "great job." Voters have some memory.

ROMNEY/RYAN 2012

TWENTY-EIGHT, yes, 28, reasons why Romney has the right stuff and will win the White House and lead America back to greatness. Please, by all means, I ENCOURAGE readers to verify this all yourself using multiple, independent sources, like I did over a period of almost 5 years of reading and learning about Mitt Romney as I developed this list. Not one single statement came from a Romney website or mailer.

If you like it, please, PLEASE copy and paste it all over the internet wherever you can. America is simply too precious to not fight for....

ROMNEY:

- Graduated with “University Honors” from BYU (also known as “Highest Honors”, their most prestigious form of recognition, somewhat equivalent to valedictorian) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English; he’s not just a numbers guy.

- Master’s degree in Business (Harvard, a B
aker's scholar: top 5% of business students).

- Master’s degree in Law (Harvard, graduated Cum Laude / with Honors, top 1/3 of his class).

- Earned both master’s degrees (business AND law) at Harvard University simultaneously (Could you do that? I couldn’t.)

- Had an incredible 80% success rate in private business and now worth between $200 and $250 million (compare this to Obama and many of Obama's closest advisers who have never had to turn a profit or go hungry, and, no, don't whine about workers Romney let go when investing in a company while at Bain Capital because you'd be forgetting to look at: A) the fact that Bain was INVITED by the companies to have Bain invest in them; there were no “hostile takeovers” by Bain Capital and B) the workers' jobs Romney saved by saving a dying company and C) the jobs he created after those struggling companies were turned around and started to grow again.

http://theweek.com/article/index/228422/4-good-things-bain-capital-did-on-mitt-romneys-watch

- Gave away his inheritance in 1998 to start / help fund the “George W. Romney Institute of Public Management” at BYU (his father, George Romney, died in 1995).

- As head of the 2002 Winter Olympics (Salt Lake City) turned a potential loss (-$379M shortfall) into one of the few profit-earning Olympic games (+$100M profit).

- Donated his entire Olympic Games salary and severance package ($1.4M) to charity.

- Put aside partisanship prejudices/trash-talk by successfully campaigning/winning the governor's seat (2003 – 2007) as a Republican in a heavily Democrat-controlled state LONG before Scott Brown.

- While governor of Massachusetts, at HIS request, served the people of MA at the salary of $1/year (that’s right, ONE DOLLAR).

- Previous executive leadership experience as a state governor, including Massachusetts' Commander In Chief of state military forces (Yes, a state governor is legally the Commander In Chief of that state's National Guard forces unless those troops are called to active-duty by the President).

- Turned Massachusetts' budget from red to black while governor (- $3.0B to +$2.16B; that’s “billion” with a “B”).

- Cut taxes 19 times as Massachusetts governor (that’s not a typo, NINETEEN).

- As MA governor, developed a plan that would make deadbeats pay for their own health care (you may not like the MA health care law but that's what it's sole purpose was. Still don't like it because of the mandate? Don't move to MA.) (BTW, how would YOU have solved the MA healthcare free-loader problem and how would you have done it with an overwhelmingly Democrat-controlled state legislature like Romney had to work with?)

- “Service over self”. Romney endorsed McCain only 2 days after ‘Super Tuesday’ in 2008 when it became obvious McCain was the clear front-runner; America is more important to him than his ego (Can you say “He’s not Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum”?)

- Volunteer service to community as a church head pastor for 13 years all with ZERO pay (that's right, none); 5 years as a “bishop” and 8 years as a “stake president”.

- Would give ALL his Presidential salary ($1.6 Million total) back to the American taxpayers if elected (yes, he's on record as committing to this).

- Voluntarily turned down enrolling in Medicare when he turned 65 on March 12, 2012.
(in other words, he’s NOT sucking up our precious tax dollars because he knows he can, and therefore should, take care of himself).

- He also chose to NOT receive any Social Security payments upon turning 65 because, again, he knows he can take care of himself and therefore should not rely on our tax dollars to help fund his daily living.

- Looks, talks and acts "Presidential".

- Understands commitment (never divorced, in a loving 43 year marriage).

- Understands morality (never had an affair).

- Understands family (5 kids, all successful adults).

- Willing to let all of America see his birth certificate without a fight.

- Released his last 2 years of filed tax records (2010 AND 2011) proving he’s not a tax cheat; paid $1.94 million in federal income taxes in 2011giving him an effective tax rate of 14.1%. AND, the private firm which prepared Romney’s taxes from 1990 through 2009 issued a letter stating that Romney paid 100% of the federal and state income taxes owed during those 20 years. The firm also said Romney’s average annual effective federal tax rate was 20.2% for those 20 years. Satisfied?

http://money.cnn.com/2012/09/21/pf/taxes/romney-tax-return/index.html

- Cares about his fellow man: gave $3,000,000 to charity in 2010 and $4,000,000 to charity in 2011; that’s $7 MILLION in just 2 years. Would you have done that? Romney did.

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/opinion/opedcolumnists/romney_the_giver_7nLMOZGuIo2zq1LmrNInjN

- He’s pledged (repeatedly) that he’ll repeal Obamacare and replace it with something better.

- And finally…..he’s N-O-T Obama.

P.S. - If all one can say about a candidate is that they are a member of "X" church and ignore the talents and character of the person, that person does not deserve the privilege of voting.

Best argument there is for not going back to the policies of the GOP:

Private Sector Payroll Employment

This was the CNN Money headline in Bush's last month of office:

Job loss: Worst in 34 years
Employers slashed 598,000 more jobs in January

Are we really going to vote for that again? Romney's tax plan was written by the same guy that wrote Bush's.

Damn right I'm happy about the last 4 years. The real question is, do you want 4 more like the last 4? Or 4 like the 8 before Obama?

The pace of creation of jobs in the private sector during the current administration is now greater than the pace in either of President George W. Bush’s terms in office.

Really? Have you been with him every minute of his life, Independent?

Has Obama had an affair?

There's no more evidence one way than the other. How the heck can that be a "point" for Romney?

- Looks, talks and acts "Presidential".

Interpretation: He's white.

- He also chose to NOT receive any Social Security payments upon turning 65

Didn't pay any Social Security taxes in, either. Or Medicare. He takes his wages from Bain as "carried interest", which is treated as capital gains, taxed at 15% (after deductions) and requires no payroll taxes.

Wow, what a guy!

I still stand behind my little conspiracy theory that the race is only close because the media reaping the whirlwind of cash influx due to the Citizens United ruling need (want) it to look that way until the teat runs dry....

Otherwise, the fact that nearly half of the voters in the U.S. would need to be stupid enough to vote for a serial liar that has certainly contradicted everyones beliefs in one sentence or another would have to be a fact. I know there are some that simple, but could there really be THAT many willing to vote "emptiness against America" at as crucial a point in our history as this?

By the way; FIRST READ is incorrect in saying that the momentum in these last days seems to favor Obama.

The two most recently conducted polls, Rasmussen and CNN Research, either show Romney ahead by 1 point, or they show the race tied at 49 - 49.

When the numbers are this close, they usually spell defeat for the incumbant. Nobody really gives a damn what happened in 2004. Obama was supposed to be this "phenom" that was going to sweep through to re-election, and that just aint happening.

I predict here and now that Romney will win. Pure & simple.

All of this bluster & bravado that is being shown by Obama supporters and the media at large (not the least of which is NBC News) is all about trying to make us feel "helpless." Make us feel that his reelection is inevitable....and it certainly is NOT!

Romney will win tomorrow night, and the numbers show it.

Our President said that his administration would be the most transparent ever. That did not work.

Our President said that he would not raise taxes on 95% of Americans in any way. That did not work.

Our President said that he would cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. That did not work.

Our President has provided an economic "plan" for the next 4 years that is mathematically impossible. That cannot work.

I see a pattern here. Our President said that if he could not fix the economy within three year that he did not deserve a second term.

Backhouse

MITT ROMNEY PAID ZERO TAXES 1996 - 2009

Backhouse -- Some Romney supporters (no doubt especially Mormon supporters) brush this off because it is a legal charitable loophole. But this is BIG news because:

1) It proves Romney lied about paying taxes every year of at least 13%. One might note in retrospect his slip in making a math error in which he added his charitable contribution to tax paid -- Hmmm?

2) Who gives a flying @#$%! what an obscenely wealthy plutocrat like Romney gives to his one particular church? What is this, the days when Lords were told they could go to heaven if they donated all the wealth to the Catholic Church when they died?

Our nation needs revenue for our nation! I'm not concerned about the LDS church or the Vatican or any other religious coffers. I do not want the prophet or the pope playing a more important role for the POTUS compared to the United States of America.

We need to reform so many things from our election system to our tax code. Enough of this crap -- THIS is what would make the USA like Greece -- Rich people like Romney not pitching in their fair share.

But Romney is a LIAR, he lied before about paying taxes in Massachusetts, and he has lied again about paying taxes. Do people really want a Liar in CEO in the White House? Come on!!!

Of all the events Romney held or participated in, including the convention, the debates, the trip abroad, and the 'major foreign policy speech', the only one to move the needle for him was the first presidential debate.

That was the debate in which he denied ever having held any conservative positions at all. He suddenly wasn't going to cut taxes for the wealthy, was all for market regulations, he was going to keep everything people liked about Obamacare, he was the biggest proponent of government entitlement programs in politics today, of course he wasn't 'against' contraception or women's reproductive rights, etc., etc.

I think that's very interesting. According to his own reading of the polls, the conservative positions - like the ones I keep reading on this site - apparently can't win a national election.

Four more days Democrats!! Vote Obama!!

I'm totally kidding, its in three days.

Although Biden did say "there hasn't been one day that he has been proud to be Obama's Vice President."

Its ironic, most of you without jobs are voting for the guy who has had so many failed policies. Thats the democratic master plan. More people taking taxes the more people that vote for the Democrat. Well it looks like Obama's clearing a path for the next Democrat.

Why not avoid this. Vote for self reliance!! Push yourselves!!

I still think Mitt looks like Hitler if you paint/photoshop on a "Hitler" mustache.

I still cannot understand why people would think Mitt would be better for the economy. Why lowering taxes on the rich even more would help WHEN IT HAS NOT HELPED IN OVER 30 YEARS. Ever since the top tax rate was lowered from 90% down to 70% in the 60's worker's wages have went stagnant. Ever since the top tax rate was lowered from 70% in 1982 small businesses have been on the decline. Where and the F*** have Mitt and the GOP been the past 30 years?

Why is Bain/Mitt closing down and moving a profitable company to China? Sensata made record profits in 2011 and the factory will be closed before the end of the year. Yeah Mitt really cares about Americans or their jobs...he only cares about "winning".

Notice that Rassmussen can't legally contact cell phones because they are automated. Cell phone users are significantly more Democrat than Republican.

Estimates range from 27.5-32.5% of homes no longer have a land line, but are cell phone only homes.

Obama has been doing very well in polls where cell phones are contacted.

Various demographics that are cell phone only.

Hispanics, 43 percent; African-Americans, 37 percent; those between the ages of 18 and 24, 49 percent; ages 25 to 29, 60 percent; and ages 30 to 34, 51 percent.

Lockheed Martin is laying off 123,000 workers just weeks before Christmas.

This will make a significant increase to the questionable 7.8% unemployment number. Lockheed is going to lay off 123,000 defense workers due to Obama's downsizing of the military.

The law requires Lockheed to give 60-day notice to all to-be-fired employees within 60 days. That drop dead date would be November 1st. Since this would be devastating for his reelection, Obama has promised that our government would cover all Lockheed severance packages to fired employees if Lockheed would not release the names and locations of those losing their jobs until after the election! Do you have any idea how many millions that will cost the taxpayer? Thank you Obama!

Ah, final day before election. Are my fellow conservatives excited? I know I am ecstatic. After tomorrow we will be in position to finally shut down women’s reproductive rights. We’ll have women back in their place in the house hold were power and control is finally restored to the man. We’ll have Latinos and other minorities finally back at our feet doing necessary ditch digging jobs and at a great low labor rate that does not affect the bottom line of business. We will finally be able to enact and enforce a near and dear philosophy of survival of the fittest so that for people who cannot survive on cheap labor with no benefits will either go somewhere else or just flat keel over so that the next 47 percenting chump in line can do the job.

I am so excited for this country’s future. After Obamacare is repealed and medicare is reformed under Romney, I will be able to walk into Walmart and the old man greeting me with a screaming hello due to the dead battery in his miracle ear will be gone. He'll either head to the pasture to graze his final days or like the dead battery that sat in his miracle ear, he'll wither away to become worm feed. The best days are ahead of us folks. Once I see that the White House no longer looks like a Church’s fried chicken store on Martin Luther King Drive and actually resembles something that our four fathers fought for to represent the strength of this fine country, then I’ll feel at peace knowing that my off shore accounts will be preserved and protected. Finally government will be shrunk to its designed size and the tax code will be reduced so that I can make my necessary expansion investments in the Philippines. I write this and can’t help but feel giddy at the thought of finally eliminating programs like FEMA that just prop up the poor after natural disasters. Finally when a natural disaster hits and it affects the poor and ignorant people that lived in its path, they’ll be able to gracefully die off as a result instead of being propped up by the government that just slows down the inevitable which costs me money. Finally population control will be restored.

After tomorrow we'll all be able to breathe a sigh of relief knowing that businesses will be protected and bottom lines will be preserved. And doors of opportunities will finally be returned to the privileged and not the blood sucking 47 percenters. I can't help but smile as I write this knowing that Romney/Ryan will save and protect myself and my fellow haves. It's going to feel great to have order restored. I know it will take some time to clean up the white house and get all of the filth and grease out but once restored we'll be in position to become again the most powerful and prosperous country in world.

Got Mitt! Romney/Ryan 2012

feisty posed this question in 1.1:

"I only have one question, when did it become acceptable as Americans to make it more difficult to exercise our basic freedom of the right to VOTE?

Why not pick up the phone and call the obama administration and ask why our military service members are being disenfranchised by the thousands. i will be interested in reading your response.

“We write to express concerns over another serious failure by the Department of Defense (DoD) to safeguard the voting rights of our overseas military service members, which we believe could result in the imminent disenfranchisement of thousands,” the letter stated.

Mail redirection in the military can take between 14 to 50 days, meaning a ballot could reach the voter possibly more than a month after ballots have to be mailed back in order to be counted. The Military Postal Service Agency (MPSA) identified problems with the system after the 2010 election, but hasn’t implemented changes.

@billybob;

Well I was correct but they had to send the ballots back because they said they were wrong. Blaming Obama for typos,or incorrect ballots is not truly fair when all thought the problem was rectified. Ultimately the administration is responsible, but people do err, like you said lets hope they fix it in time.

This from a soldier overseas.

He said they gave out the ballots and before they could do anything — like mark them, they were ordered to return them,” Boynton told Fox News. “He said they were told the ballots were incorrect — but they were never given the so-called corrected ballots.”

That was five weeks ago — and as of today those soldiers have not been given new ballots, he said.

Boynton said his son, who is in the Army, had a chance to look at the disputed ballots and they seemed correct.

I would say to blame Obama for this would not be fair, as I thought myself the problem had been rectified, but I checked anyway, and unfortunately I found this.

I only have one question, when did it become acceptable as Americans to make it more difficult to exercise our basic freedom of the right to VOTE?

fiesty redhead - assuming that your are referring to the recent spate of laws requiring verification of one's identity at the polling place, I support such laws as being in keeping with our changing times. Although I would also say that implementing such laws within weeks, or even months of a tight presidential election is unacceptable.

While it's true that there are no documented cases of massive voter fraud in our nation's history, there was strong anecdotal evidence that Mayor Dailey and the Chicago Mob managed to skew the Cook County results in the 1960 election, giving the county, the state of illinois and, ultimately, the national election to Kennedy.

Did it happen? We'll never know. Could it have happened? Absolutely.

Another fact is that we live in an increasingly anonymous world. 100 years ago, people seldom moved more than 20 miles from the place of their birth, and in most communities people knew each other quite well.

Today, most of us don't know half the people in our town, and in many communities it would be child's play to engage in voter fraud.

These laws make sense to me, and I'm somebody who will almost certainly vote for Obama tomorrow morning.

TNSEVOL "Roy Wilson - You are looking at final polling numbers, while in the polls leading up to the elections Rassmussen was off by a much higher number."

Are you for real? Since people's opinions change over time, how can you possibly say that what a poll said 30 days before the election was a lock on how they would vote 30 days later. Thirty days ago, Obama had a sizable lead in almost all polls, but now he is tied. What changed? People changed their minds. So is a change in polls a result of pollster error, or changing intentions? You are assuming that people don't change their minds - highly unlikely to be true.

The only reliable way to gauge a pollster's accuracy is to take their FINAL poll (which is most representative of how the pollster expects them to finally vote), and then compare that with the actual result - That's what my analysis of pollster accuracy (and bias) reflects in my Post #1.44.

On that basis, Rasmussen had the most average accuracy and the least bias of all the major pollsters in 2004 & 2008.

Well, tomorrow we will find out how many idiots are going to vote for Obama, with his compulsive lying to get re-elected, failure of a record, and lack of a plan or a vision for America. Those that vote for him think the following is the change they can believe in. The Benghazi cover-up is reason enough not to vote for Obama, let alone all the other failures:

Do you really want four more years of this crap? I say, NO THANKS! --

Over 8% unemployment for a record 43 months in a row! It's now said to be 7.9%, up from one month ago, which still stinks. Oh, BTW, they didn't include California in the totals, which has over 10% unemployment. Duhhh. So, it's still over 8% folks.

Over $16.2 trillion in debt and counting? He increased it six trillion rather than reduce it five trillion as promised.

        Over 14% unemployment for blacks.

Anemic economic growth, year after year, after year.

No budget for the past three years as required by the Constitution.

A healthcare plan that will cost over three times what they said it would, was opposed by over 60% of the population, sucks over $700,000,000 out of Medicare to help pay for it, and wasn't even read by any member of Congress that voted for it? How could you vote for a bill you haven't even read?

Solyndra FAIL and cover-up (or at least no due diligence) that cost taxpayers over half a billion dollars.

FAILURE to protect our embassy in Libya resulting in the deaths of four Americans, and the cover-up afterward. Obama stalling until after the election.

Fast and Furious FAILURE, resulting in the death of a boarder control officer and the cover-up by the Obama administration. Holder held in contempt of Congress. Case still not solved due to Obama's stalling.

This presidency is a failure and it is time for Americans to realize it and vote for a man that is highly qualified to lead us out of it, Mitt Romney.

"you know I don't lie to you!"

Obama did not lie. What Obama did was try.

The rubber is finally hitting the road from his trying, that involved no lying.

I have been exposing Romney and Ryan for their lies for weeks , and their lies are part of why I jumped in the fray this year. They are more ambitous than caring. You can see the caring in Obamas, eyes. Whereas you can see the "waitng for acceptance" of what he is saying( are they buying it?) in Romneys eyes. This is self serving ambition at its best.

Look back at the debates and you can see Romney knashing his teeth because he had to wait his turn, like a kid stuck in the corner twitching and angry waiting to get out. These are telltale signs of anger issues.

There is a big difference in not coming through on some timetables, and lying to your face sir.

You want to talk about lying sir?

“Under three, high twos. I had a two hour and fifty-something,” Ryan said, fairly adamantly.

        @ freemarket;

Well free since you opened this can of worms about lies.lol

Mitt Romney says many, many things that are not true. He says this despite being in possession of the correct facts of the matter.

Which is to say that Mitt Romney lies. A lot. He lies more than any other national candidate for office in my lifetime. And I was born before the Nixon administration.

This is documented. Proven. Validated, verified, demonstrated, catalogued and quantified. Mitt Romney lies.

Here are 30 — 30! — of Benen’s weekly “chronicling” posts. These are all backed up and sourced. These are not assertions, interpretations or allegations. These are facts, actual instances

Some of the comments in here are frightening.

The White House if full of America history. There a bust of MLK, and pictures of Abraham Lincoln. Neither one of them ever spoke of "REVENGE" against their country, or fellow American. These great men spoke of love and compassion for both their county and for its people. "United we stand, divided we fall" is a phrase that has been used in mottos, from nations and states to songs. The basic concept is that unless the people are united, it is easy to destroy them. His promise was to bring people together and cut the deficit – he failed on both accounts. This Great Nation is incredibly divided.

Yet, our current sitting President has stated: . Then Obama continued, "Vote. Voting's the best revenge." Mr. Obama has not the traits of a Leader of this Free Country. He is a crime against the history of the Great Nation. This is our country. Mr. Obama didn’t build it – the people did. The remedy is not another four (4) years of a President that appears to have nothing but distaste for our country and its citizens. If it is his way or the highway, then we must say – “Safe journeys, Mr. Obama”.

Mr. Obama states that Ambassador Stevens was a friend, someone he cared about. Then answer us this Mr. President – how was it you were able to sit in the situation room and watch, in real time, the cruel death he suffered?

Former CIA Officer Clare Lopez states:

Lopez added that Stevens knew he was a potential Al Queda target and lacked the security he needed to be in the country. Requests for increased security were denied by the State Department prior to the attacks on September 11th.

She also said it was her opinion that James Clapper, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and General David Petraeus are all aware of what really happened in Libya.

“This has to be brought out. This has to be made known to the public. That this is going on and that our administration was not only working with the bad guys. Was working with Al Queda linked militas and jiihadis to overthrow Assad in Syria but that they let our mission go down. They let our ambassador and others die. In real time, watching it happen, and they didn’t do anything about it,” Lopez said.

“I have never seen a situation where a facility was under attack like that and nothing happens.”

He was his “Friend, and someone he cared about”. Odd, he says the same thing of American and its citizens. I for one, will not buy into. Buyer, beware!

Vote American – NO MORE Obama – American can’t afford it.

        From MSNBC today:

Dawn Berkley appears to be a passionate, young female Mitt Romney supporter from La Crosse, Wis., a key battleground state. Her Twitter and Facebook pages are jammed with anti-Democratic Party talking points like this: "The Democrats have a good cheat machine in Minnesota. Look how Al Franken "won." Watch the scum like a hawk," posted Sunday on her Facebook page. Or this recent Tweet: "Obama campaign to girls: Have sex with vote for O," with a link to the conservative website Brietbart.com. She's also left a smattering of pro-Romney comments at news websites and blogs, like this one on a Forbes.com story about Clint Eastwood's Republican National Convention speech: "I thought it was relevant and VERY funny! I’m 22 and never watched an Eastwood movie till after I saw him do this skit. The man is remarkable."

Berkley's social media presence is also remarkable. Outside the political commentary, there is scant activity on her accounts. And she has a remarkably thin photo collection for a 22-year-old -- in fact, there's only one picture available to her Facebook friends. Her mandatory profile photo shows an attractive young woman posing with an over-the-shoulder, come hither look. Perhaps that's why the very same photo is used in many places across the Internet, including on various Asian massage websites. The rightful owner of the face, however, appears to be Korean pop singer Lee Hyori, who uses the image as her promotional headshot.

So who is Dawn Berkley, if not a dead ringer for a Korean pop singer? NBC News managed to get whoever controls her Facebook account to accept a friend request, but that person did not respond to follow-up emails, so there is no way to know. It's possible she is a 22-year-old Romney supporter who simply doesn't want to use her own face online for privacy reasons. It's also possible that everything about Dawn Berkley's account is, like the photo, fake.

Everything about the Romney campaign is fake.

        Including the candidate.

Clackamas County identifies accused elections worker as Deanna Swenson of Oregon City

Clackamas County today identified the temporary elections worker accused of altering ballots as Deanna Swenson, 55, of the Oregon City area.

She was "relieved of duty immediately after the alleged ballot tampering was discovered," Tim Heider, county spokesman, said in a press release.

Swenson, who is registered as a Republican, also worked previous elections, at least back to 2010, said Scot Sedaris, county counsel.

Swenson is accused of filling in the names of Republican candidates on ballots where voters did not make a choice. Tampering with ballots is a Class C felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of $125,000.

        Barack Obama is the only
        candidate
        who fiercely supports
        mothers and children
. His passion is palpable because he is the father of daughters. He was raised by a single mother and grandmother
so the vital role of women and mothers is cemented in his DNA. President Obama
clearly values women and the roles
they choose for themselves. His mindset is current, and his policies will not take us back to the 1950s. Mitt
Romney’s positions on women, however, reek of the The Handmaid’s Tale.

Reasons Why I Will Be Voting for Obama (Shocker, I Know)-

        1. The veteran, wearing the Navy hat on the subway tonight, who had his service dog, Captain Jack with him. I can not vote for a party that said it was okay to go to war in Iraq, without being able to pay for it, but it's not okay to provide services to the people who fought in Iraq, because that's too expensive.

California's highest court ordered an Arizona group on Sunday to disclose the donors behind an $11 million contribution to two California campaigns last month, but it remained to be seen whether voters will know the source of the money before Election Day.

Attorney General Kamala Harris and the state's campaign finance watchdog had been seeking the donation records to determine whether Americans for Responsible Leadership is improperly shielding its donors' identities.

The group gave money in October to a California-based political action committee that is campaigning against Gov. Jerry Brown's tax initiative and another initiative that would limit the ability of unions to raise money for political causes.

The group fought to withhold the documents and tried last week to appeal a Sacramento County Superior Court ruling that it must submit to an audit by the California Fair Political Practices Commission by 5 p.m. Thursday.

Harris' office filed a motion late Friday asking the California Supreme Court to take up the case immediately, arguing that the information the FPPC is seeking is only relevant before Tuesday's election. The court made its unanimous decision Sunday afternoon following a conference call and directed the Phoenix-based nonprofit to comply with the FPPC's audit request by 4 p.m.

However, the group asked for a deadline extension so it could seek a stay from the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday, FPPC chairwoman Ann Ravel said. She said the court denied the request and ordered the group to produce the documents immediately.

She said she believes the group has exhausted all legal avenues.

"My staff will be working all night to look at the documents and determine if they come within California (campaign) disclosure laws," Ravel said.

A call seeking comments from the group's spokesman was not immediately returned.

Harris called the group's action "outrageous" and "a clear act of desperation."

"They're trying to delay and run the clock on this so that California voters will be in the dark about who has tried to manipulate their opinions," Harris said.

Federal law allows nonprofits to keep the identities of their donors confidential. But California regulations require donors to be identified if they give to nonprofits with the intention of spending money on state campaigns here.

For the past two months an intense voter outreach campaign has swept across Escondido.

“We’ve been going around to the houses and leaving wave after wave of materials to remind people to vote,” said Ana Castro, a campaign volunteer.

The “Nuestro Voto, Nuestro Futuro” or “Our Vote, Our Future” campaign has been targeting 40 densely Latino populated precincts. The bilingual non-partisan campaign has reached out to nearly 30,000 Latinos, with fliers to a phone bank, urging them to register to vote.

“Out of that, [we have received] 6,000 pledges to vote,” said Norma Chavez-Peterson the campaign’s coordinator.

According to the San Diego County Registrar, of voters the push has been a success. Since February, more than 40,000 new Latino voters have registered countywide.

Averaging 5,000 registrants a month, while setting a new record for Latino registered voters in San Diego County.

"We’re participating in the process," explained Chavez-Peterson. "We’re saying we want to make this country stronger and we’re proud of it."

Castro added, “It’s important because in Escondido there has been low Latino voter turnout.”

But after a series of workshops and a registration drive, campaign volunteers not only want to make sure voters are well informed, but that their rights are also protected at the polls.

“Some people don’t even know that they have the right to ask for the ballot in their language that they feel the most comfortable with. So that’s just basic know your rights,” said Chavez-Peterson.

Whether republican or democrat, the message is simple. “Exercise your right to vote this is what makes the democracy strong,”Said Chavez-Peterson.“If you don’t vote, don’t complain.”

The campaign is also partnering with the ACLU to make sure voters know their rights. Tuesday the ACLU will have volunteers at polls across the county to answer any questions voters may have. You can call the campaign office at: 760-624-VOTO(8686)

The ACLU has also set up a voter hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683) and in Spanish 888-VE-Y-VOTA (888-839-8682).

              Romney loves money.

Romney loves to bank his money overseas to avoid paying taxes so he can earn more money.

Romney loves other people who have lots and lots of money.

Romney insulted 40% of this country because unlike him they do not have oodles and oodles of money and a four-car garage with an elevator. He is so ignorant he doesn't understand that the 47% who "depend" on government are people who didn't need to pay pay taxes because they were in the armed forces, seniors, disabled, and/or working but not earning enough to pay.

Romney doesn't support equal pay for women and has dodged the question about the Lily Ledbetter act some 40+ times.

Romney doesn't support a woman's right to make her own health care decisions.

Romney has lied and flip-flopped regarding EVERY MAJOR POLICY since he started campaigning.

Romney has hidden his tax records from before 2009 because from 1996 - 2009 he PAID NO TAXES. https://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/11/04/1155381/-Breaking-Romney-Paid-Zero-Taxes-From-1996-To-2009

Romney is facing ethics complaints from the UAW for a conflict of interest that likely earned him millions of dollars -- which we can't pinpoint because he refuses to share his tax returns from the relevant year! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/01/mitt-romney-ethics-complaint-uaw-auto-bailout_n_2056941.html?utm_hp_ref=business

Romney wanted to privatize FEMA, something he denies now. http://takingnote.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/11/01/romney-on-fema-then-and-now/

From the Massachusetts state treasurer: When Romney was gov., he didn't get along with Democrats in the state and wasn't bipartisan. He had been a CEO and was used to telling people what to do. He had his own elevator when he was governor and didn't allow anyone else to use it; he was afraid he'd be stuck with the legislators, he didn't make an effort to know their names or to get to know them, and he got the Lt. Governor's name wrong once.

The idiot did a photo op in which he asked people to bring canned food donations for the Red Cross. 1) The Red Cross DOESN'T COLLECT FOOD. They need money and blood donations. Period. 2) People who didn't bring food weren't allowed in for the photo op. 3) Romney's people were afraid he'd look incapable of drumming up donation support so they went to Walmart and spent $5,000 on food and diapers to stage as donation props. 4) When people showed up without donations and wanted to greet Romney, they were handed already-paid-for props to pretend they had donated them... all to look good for the photo op. Pure stupidity. Pure dishonesty.

Romney claims to love teachers. Well, the teachers of Massachusetts gave him an "F" for his lack of support for teachers when he was gov.
              : http://www.sodahead.com/united-states/what-grade-did-the-massachusetts-teachers-give-governor-mitt-romney-on-his-support-of-massachusetts/question-2693731/

Another Romney lie: He keeps telling the American people that 50% of the energy companies that the Obama administration invested in went bankrupt. NOT SO. Only 8% of those companies declared bankruptcy, but at least Obama is committed to putting the money into technology and research. He can't guarantee the success of those companies.... but his success rate is better than Romney's. Romney, on the other hand....... 22% of the Bain Capital investments went bankrupt and closed!

Experts have done the math and have calculated the net result of Romney's proposed tax cuts to equal $5 TRILLION. He keeps denying this is the number, but IT IS. And that money has to be made up somewhere, and his numbers just don't add up. The brunt of this burden WILL FALL ON THE MIDDLE CLASS. Romney CLAIMS his strategies will spur economic growth EVEN THOUGH past efforts to grow the economy his way have totally failed.

Romney lied when he said he didn't get a tax break for moving Sensata overseas. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/10/15/1144723/-Mitt-Romney-profits-as-Bain-sends-American-jobs-to-China . He also misled Americans when he said his and President Obama's involvements in China were on par. They aren't. Romney's investment in Sensata is $8 MILLION. Obama's investment in Sensata is $11 (eleven dollars!!!), which he can't collect from his senatorial retirement fund for 11 years).

Romney was only successful as a businessman because his RICH FATHER got him started in business. He didn't do this on his own or from the ground up. And he made a lot of money because he SHIPPED JOBS OVERSEAS.
Even Romney's comments about the "binders of women" is a lie; HE didn't SEEK OUT female candidates. http://www.cnn.com/2012/10/18/politics/campaign-women/index.html.

The man wouldn't know the truth if it smacked him between the eyes! So much for his religious "values."

What a wee little part of a person's life are his acts and his words. His real life is led in his head, and is known to none but himself.

The rule is perfect: in all our matters of opinion our adversaries are insane.

American will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

A house divided against itself can not stand.

A fine man was our Abraham Lincoln. It is too bad Mr. Obama failed to stand up and take notice.

              Have a great evening!

Liberals, I am not falling for your lies anymore! I voted Obama in 2008, a choice I am dissillusioned about. You can not play on my emotions to swallow more of your lieing campaign promises no longer...I Am Smarter and more informed. My hardwoking hispanic brethern and sisters are wiser too!

I suprisingly this read on NBCnews online that Mr. Obama only topped off the retirements of the Unions, that supported his election in 2008, with the billions in stimulas spending of our hard earned taxpayers money to US Automakers and its unions. And the Delphi retirees where left out in the cold, because they didn't support Obamas 2008 campaign. Now the Delphi retirees are left to make ends meet month to month with their meager retirements, while other Union retirees( that supported Obama in 2008) live it up on full retirements. And this is the bipartisian politics that the Left accuses the right of doing, while on the other hand they are the ones most guitly of extreme partisianship. The 47% couldn't give two spits about the 53%er's struggles to find a job and make ends meet, so long as they have security in their jobs and full retirement benefits. And they are no less preoccupied that the Deficit spending of stimulas to accomplish that goal will be passed on to our 2nd & 3rd generations, and our youth is bieng mortgaged to Socialist Communist countries!! As long as they can live high on the hog NOW, and have a job where they get their beneifits paid for by federal government subsidies. While the rest of us suffer higher healthcare insurance premium payments for our families.

Why should they care? They can save for retirement and have retirement payments given to them, afforded to them by false stimulas packages, without ever having to work truly hard to help their companies be more profitable and viable in the world economy. Look at Greece and all the other failing socialist economies supported by corrupt Unions and Labor parties. There is no free market there and they struggle century after century, while the greedy politicians and socialist goverment business entities prosper from taxpayers of those socialist goverments wasteful spending. They wrap up stimulas in a pretty little bow and call it job creation spending! More like job security for the few, and controlled socialist businesses. And you say the republicans are ignorant to the rights given up by the citizens of this country. Yea, Right....just more LIES concocted by the Corrupt sociailist and ther agendas.

This country was based on the persuit of the American dream, and free market. If a person comes up with an idea or busisness model, and works really hard to make it successful, why can't they profit from it? But now the socialistwant to make sure they get a cutof the hardwork and toil. And pretty soon, if we continue down this path, we will have to give a the main bulk of profits to the socialists and their corrupt agendas.

So now companies are shipping manufacturing overseas, to stay out of Bankruptcy, and try to keep viable in todays domestic economy, which has become the status quo for Obama and his supporters. And now they want four more years, to have the chance to tax the owners of the manufacturing companies even more than they already are, which will evetually cost more hardworking Americans their jobs. Whatever happened to working hard and saving up for their own personal retirement? Now they want hand outs that they think they deserve? While the rest of 53% Americans scrimp and save to make ends meet and struggle day in and day out. These people don't give two hoots, about womens rights, or illegal immagration rights. They are just saying they care, and make promises they never intend on keeping, just to get elected. The past fours years should be proof enough! The Economy has not improve except for those that recieved trillions in deficit spending. And the honest truth they don't care that they are selling our country piece by piece to the Socialist Communist countries that our Fore Fathers and current Illegal Imagrants flead from to have a chance at the American dream. Under Obama that dream is dead, and if you try, you will have to meet insurmountable Federal regulations..

The Corrupt Unions want to keep their cushy jobs, they hardly put any effort into making the manufacturing sector more successful and pertinent in the current economical crisis. They want more billions spent on ammenities, like Obamacare, irregardless of the consequences that will cost the retirees their medicare benifits. They do not, under Obama, want to make any concessions, that will save trillions of taxpayers monies and help the economy to thrive again. So that there is more oppurtunities created for the hardworker to acheive the American dream.

Romney/Ryan just want us to put our noses to the grindstone and make the American people a proud and industrious people again. And all the lazy people want to do, is be selfish and uncaring, and only be for themselves and their own agendas. I prefer to work, and be prosperous as a whole nation, not just 47% that want handouts because they were fortunate to be born in this country. Hardwork should have something to do with their prosperity, and pride in their beloved nation, where they enjoy FREEDOM and Rights.

Those Freedoms were earned by our patriots in the military, and not just given to us! Shouldn't we honor their sacrifice and work hard to keep those freedoms, and not have them taken away by promise breakers and cover up artists(Benghazi). This is the REVENGE you want to vote for?

                The choice is CLEAR:

Romney's Free Market- Bain Capital invested Private Money in:

                AMC Entertainment

                Burger King

                Burlington Coat Factory

                Clear Channel Communications

                Domino's Pizza

                Guitar Center

                The Sport's Authority

                Toy's are Us

                Staples

                Warner Music Group

VS. Obama's Socialism- Obama invested hard earned taxpayer money in:

                Solyndra-Bankrupt

                Ener1-Bankrupt

                Beacon Power-Bankrupt

                Abound Solar- Bankrupt

                Amonix Solar-Bankrupt

                Spectra Watt-Bankrupt

                Eastern Energy-Bankrupt

(All of these companies are Obama's campaign contributers) And they have kept those trillions in stimulas taxpayer money spent all for themselves!

The Choice is CLEAR..... Do you want a businessman that has generated billions in domestic income and millions of domestic employment

                -Or-

A President that has wasted TRILLIONS in hard earned taxpayers money?

I choose a Man who has know how, and will look out for all Americans Born here or come here from other countries, that want to persue the American dream!

Do you know how Small Businesses have not recovered under Obama's economy, and jobs lost that have not been rcovered in the pat four years.

Think about it, when you drive by a building with a "For Lease or Sale" sign in the windows tommorrow on your way to the polls to vote!

RobGC ... you are so full of hot air. Small business is doing fine .. you do remember this small business owner hugging the President?

                  http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/09/pizza-man-bear-hugs-obama-starts-yelp-troll-war/

Romney is NOT promising anything for small business. What he is promising is to small business is that he will let his corporation buddies invest and outsource the jobs.... and/or let you work for minimum wage (Staples ring a bell?)

Looking forward to President Obama's second term!

People, who support blatant liars for leadership are usually either blind followers, or lacking with any patriotism, integrity, and morals themselves. They are part of the reason why our Country is having so many problems (i.e. Wall/Bank Street, Congressional women haters, bigots, etc., etc. The Radical Right Wingers and Christian Fundamentalists want more power and wealth for themselves, while taking away anything that remains for those in the middle class, poor, and elderly groups. It's called redistribution of all what is left from those groups over into the wealthy elite. You've already seen it, and there's way more to come. 98% of Americans did not benefit anything at all from the Bush Tax Cuts. Yet, Romney paid no tax cuts from 1996 to 2009 when he decided to run for Pres. Thus, his reasons for hiding his tax reports.

And to poor, lost souls, like Independent Thought, etc. (in the blogs) with sawdust fillings for brains, Romney is a proven blatant liar, an immoral fake Christian, a thief, an American traitor, vain, spineless, lacking in moral character, completely out-of-touch with reality, and says the Hell with the 47%, who pay no taxes (nothing like"the Pot calling the Kettle BLACK"). He claims to be a Christian, but what Christan turns their back on those less fortunate, and expresses his contempt for poverty and racial sectors? He is nothing more than a "User" looking for the seat of Grandeur as a President. HE IS NOT A TRUE PRACTICING CHRISTIAN in God's Book. But he uses religion as a means of promoting the appearance of a good man in order to gain his own personal self-serving agenda of advancement to get what he wants (power, wealth, and status/position) regardless of what cut throat, trench like means used to achieve those goals. His ancestors must be turning over in their graves at Romney's dishonest and greedy habits. Romney is like the business/financiers in the town square that Jesus chastised for their selfish, dishonest ways. Come the Day of Judgement, he'll have to answer and apologize for his errors, etc. He alone will have to bear the burdens of his own man-made sins!!

Save your personal attacks for someone into drama and painting beautiful pictures that are not real. I have witnessed for my self the struggles of past small business owners. And the suffering of current small business owners, who you and collegues wish to raise taxes on. I am not buying your lies and promises anymore! To Backhouse (Post # 1.2)

                  To quote you:

"MITT ROMNEY PAID ZERO TAXES 1996 - 2009:

Using a tax shelter called a CRUT (charitable remainder unitrust) that was held by the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons), Mitt Romney was able to pay zero taxes (legally) every single year from 1996 to 2009. Why did he stop in 2009? Because he would make public his 2010 tax return, that is why. This tax loophole was killed by Congress in 1997.However those including Romney that were already using it were allowed to continue it.

Now we understand why Romney refused to show more than TWO Tax Returns."

Outstanding comment and research which is why I wanted to post it again!!! It's nice to know that some voters pass up the Tabloids to do some real research.

The only people who have a legitimate complaint with Barack Obama are liberals. His Presidency has given Republicans everything they have wanted, within reason. But he has given nothing to the progressive side that would make this country progress. You want evidence? Where is the Public Option that actually would drive down the cost of health care in this country, which ranks 36th in qualitly in the world.

The complaints against Obama from the right are based on either lies, or something so evil and reprehensible that it doesn't come up in polite society, even when it takes up video cams and heads to the polls in minority districts under the auspices of "True the Vote".

The Left has legitimate complaints, the Right has only it's hate. I'll leave it to the Right to judge their hate on their own, expecting that they won't understand or admit it. In the last four years, the Right has gotten more from Obama than the Left. The country would have been far better if the Left had gotten what they wanted, but the Left is realistic enough to take what we get. With the Affordable Healthcare Act we don't get something that solves the problem, but we get something that makes a beginning.

And the hate of the Right Wing prevents getting to that beginning. If you want this country to end, vote Republican. If you want to fight for survival to the very end, vote Democratic.

The choice is clear: Vote Romney and end the country within two years (because every liberal state that is subsidizing the red south will object), Vote Obama, and we continue the American Experiment for another couple of decades.

Have all you notice the weakening of our countries, world influence and economic strength, during the term of Democratic Presidencies.

Carter: Oil Embargo, Hostage siege in embassy in Iran, and rise of Communist strength in Russia which lead to cold war.

Clinton: The flattening of Embassy in Somalia. And rise in Taliban, Al Queda strength and their extremist ideals. Which lead to the declaration of war by their murderous attack that cost thousands of innocent Americans lives(9/11).

And now Obama: the remergence of the Al queda in northern Africa and Taliban in Pakistan going unchecked by the lack of the presidents foriegn policies. And the growing Communist influence on the world economy and their stranglehold on ours personally by China. And Obamas inability to level the playing field. Hence other countries view us as weak and unable to stand up to our enemies. And unable to withstand their constant fear placed upon us by their abilty to unite and put up a strong front emotionally. Obama panders to the Islamic nation, and continues to give them courage and confidence to subject us to their whims.

We need a leader. Someone that will unite the majority people in this country. And not pass blame, or place blame on others that divides loyalties, but will accept responsiilty and unite the people of this great nation to stand together during a crisis.

You think Romney wants to take away the very few good policies that were legislated in the past four years, that is beneficial to the people of this country. He doesn't! He wants to unite us and excellerate economic growth to unify us. So that we can be one strong front against the bad influence of countries that wis to bring us to our knees. By dividing us!

                    To RobGC (Post # 1.184)

We are successful, hardworking business owners ourselves and doing okay. We are willing to have a badly needed tax Reform, etc., and accept whatever is needed to be fair, or help the working sector of America. The Govt. , too, needs to practice fiscal responsibility as well (not like the wasteful spending on these campaigns with money that could have been used to hire workers back in 2008 rather than hording the money). Romney will NEVER ALLOW FOR SUCH TAX REFORMS, because it would mean far less profits for him. He wouldn't be able to write off Ann's corporate off-shore horse for $67 K annually. First of all, it has been said many times that taxes would not go up unless an individual earns more than $250K. Then anything over the $250K would receive a small increase of taxes for that amount above $250K. The Bush Tax cuts have historically proved they did not help the economy, esp. when the wealthy elite horded their money in off-shore accounts as Romney is still doing. In Dec. 2012, Romney as an investor and the Pres. of the Board of Trustees for Asentia (not sure of the spelling) is shutting the company down and shipping it overseas to China. Less than 2 weeks ago, the Co. CEO threatened to shut the complex down sooner than Dec. if his employees didn't vote for Romney. There's no reason to believe if he were to be elected that he would do anything different that affects his personal profits. It's about time for a Tax Reform that does not reward American Companies with tax exemptions/loopholes for going overseas. More help to small businesses is needed; but remember that the Corporate elite have a strong hands/connections (in the pockets of Congress). As a result things don't move as fast as we would like, esp. when the Republicans have practiced 100% obstructionism. Be careful of what you wish for with this election. Small business will disappear if Romney has anything to say about it. Bain Capital is quickly buying them up as well. You need to recall when all of these major problems actually began, and therein lies the answer as to the what party was mostly responsible for this Great Recession. You gave Bush 8 full years to totally destroy our economy with 2 unpaid for wars, and yet you are unwilling to let Obama have four more years when the economy has been slowly progressing forward (even though not as fast as we would like).

                    IndependantThinker,

Do you acually know why there has been obstructionism by the republican party??!! Because Obama has refused to be bipartisian and curve his HUGE deficit spending. All the intelligent businessman and women have told him to try to resuscitate the economy by paying down the debt and boosting credit so American citizens can qualify for loans again. Yea! that means small business loans!!! But Obama was so intent on throwing good money after bad on socialist government business ventures that have cost us trillions in lost taxpayer money we have to pay back with humungous INTEREST! The Federal government has no business wasting taxpayers money to start businesses. That is socialism, and contradicts the original purpose of our beloved country. And doing it is contrary to the Declaration of Independance, which states that government is here to protect its citizens and enforce laws and enact legislature for the best interest of its people.

Those wars were longtime coming, due to the lack of strong foreign policies of previous Democratic Presidencies. The extremist Islamic nation declared war on us by murdering thousands of innocent American lives. We didn't just go to war on a whim, we had to destroy our enemies capabilities to cause more destruction and taking more innocet American lives. Grow some balls!! and stand up for the effort that our patriotic military personnel have sacrificed to accomplish.. It seems to me you only mention our service men and womens when it suites you most, and that is to play on the emotions of the American people to get votes. Honestly, we really know how you feel abouttheir sacrifice. WE WASTED MONEY on two unpaid wars, that went to support our troops putting their lives in harms way, to disable our enemies from killing more innocent American men, women, and children. And securing all of our futures and futures of our children, from further terrorist attacks. But i can see by the lack-a-daysical efforts of your president, that is not a big concern. Hence Benghazi!!

You know a well as I, that Obama has wealthy contributors and campaign donators. So don't act like the rich are all evil and out to get eveyone... You have done nothing but play that card the entire presidential campaign. Again to play on the emotions of the American people to incite revenge votes. But the rich are useful when you want them to be, like give you a JOB. Seems to me Bain capital has invested in companies to help them expand and create more jobs...How is that a bad thing??!! And I for one have enjoyed their services, and patronize their businesses.

You say that Bain, shipped jobs overseas? Maybe, but there is a reason, and that is to get out from under the corrupt unions that are bankrupting the company in the these hard economical times. But it doesn't make it right for you to make assumptions that the Co-CEO made such requirements of its employees. It doesn't make any sense, what your are claiming??!! Why would it be pertinent to enforce the employees to vote a certain way, if the plant was closing anyway?!!

Something smells fishy, and that is you, and your LIES!! You make up, to play with peoples emotions. Just like the promises President Obama made in 2008, "We need to be more Energy independant, and bring down the price of gas. So the average American can afford to go to work, to provide for their famililes.","We should not be dependant on foriegn oil, whose regimes are not looking out for the best interests of American people." PROMISE>>>BROKEN...

So save your lies for someone else...I AM DONE!!

In a day we'll know. But I know how I voted already, and IMHO it was for the good of the WHOLE Nation. Not just the 1% not the 47% but for everyone. Lets not forget we all live in the same UNITED STATES of AMERICA.

For me it was a clear choice of who I would TRUST with the future of AMERICA. I would not and could NOT trust Mitt Romney. For several reasons: 1. $10,000 bet. 2. 47% video. 3. His tax policies.... 4. Him seeming to be out of touch with the common people of the United States. Well it really boils down to his WHOLE ideology and that of the Republican party.

But most of all I COULD NOT TRUST HIM. I do not know where he stands on the issues at any given moment other than hearing what might come out of his mouth. But in a day or two, something else comes out of his mouth just the opposite of what he say the day or two before.

Also what is with him not taking any questions from REPORTERS for THREE weeks now. How can anyone vote for a person that isn't open and honest with their position on the issues that face this country?!

Now if the GOP would of put someone up with some MORALS and Integrity they might of got my vote for a change. But they did not, so therefore they didn't earn my vote for their presidential candidate.

Obama/Biden 2012. We are on the correct path for American to recover for the failed policies of the Bush 2.0 era

And where is Bush in the Cayman's with pen in hand. Poised and ready for his commission off the millions that Romney will be stealing from the American people in the name of job creation..by way of china.

It's sliding off the edge ofthe 6,000 year old flat earth of your masters as we speak. You would likely categorize any Republican that Cooperated on running rather than ruining the Government as a "RINO".

The Republican party you speak so proudly of didn't exist very long ago and won't into the future. Religiostic zealots have no place in the Government of America and will be wiped from its proverbial backside quicker than you can say "merka".

Not picking on you Av8tor but, people like you are a sad joke on America. You repeat the lies created from the DNC and use it as a tool to further your hero worship. Morals? Lies? Don't know where a person stands? Then you say Obama is your man? Uninformed foolishness at best.

On Sunday, November 4th, 2012, two days before the election CBS released portions of an interview conducted with Obama on Sept12th, 2012. The interviewer directly asked Obama if the attack in Benghazi was the work of terrorist. Obama indicated no. This was a direct contradiction as to what Obama said on stage during the second debate in front of 60 million Americans when confronted by Romney as to Obama's response to the attack. Obama lied and Candy Crowley attempted to further the lie to help Obama in the debate.

Obama is a pathological liar who is incompetent and undeserving to be POTUS.

I think Mitt should have some kind of charges brought against him by what he was lying about Jeep going to China. Even after the President of chrysler sent him a letter he kept it up. That had to have an impact on their stock. The workers had to have a shock run through their lives of that news, that hey would be losing our jobs. I can only imagine what that did to their families as they looked for the truth. And here all the time it was just another Romney/Ryan lie. When you are loaded with money you have no clue what something like that does to people. I really hope Ohio sticks it to Romney/Ryan tomorrow.

You can keep repeating your talking points about how Obama's Administration has created more new jobs but you fail to mention that the Obama Administration has lost more jobs than any other. If everyone is honest they will admit they know someone who is long term unemployed or under employed and working for less than half of what they did under the Bush Administration. They must remember it was Obama who stated he could not create jobs. We cannot continue this path of bumping along the bottom economically. Even MSN said suicides are way up in an article today because of the economy. When people lose everything it is not pretty. Restore America and vote for Mitt Romney.

It will be nice to have this behind us so that our President can continue to show the republic party how the country's problems get solved. Of course the republicans are one of the biggest problems this country has.

Everyone whom you can muster to get out and vote for our President, please do so. Remember 2007-2009? The republicans do. They remembered enough to make sure they concealed George W. Bush under a rock during their convention.

Put another way: If even the republicans think republicanism is toxic, then maybe you should too.

I believe you are mistaken. If you look at the reasons why illegal immigration has slowed all you have to do is look at the economy. Why would they come here when when the economy is better in Mexico?

Dear John, Your local community Collage probably has a remedial reading course you can take. No were in my post did I say why, I just stated the facts. Or as FOX would say; nothing worth telling our audience about.

John if my FACTS are wrong please show me the numbers and I will show you mine.

                      Illegal Immigration Statistics

                      • The DHS notes that while the illegal immigrant population in the U.S. decreased between 2008 and 2009, it posted an increase of 27 percent during the period of 2000-09. The DHS believes nearly 11 million unauthorized immigrants live in the United States, as of January 2009. Sixty-two percent of illegal immigrants entered from Mexico. The vast majority of illegal immigrants reside in California, Texas, Florida and New York.

Good Lord people! America didn't go anywhere and the President is a firm supporter of the troops, mentioned them and thanked them at the DNC and continue to work with them on their return from overseas.

As to the VALUES???? If Romney and Ryan reflect the values you have for your family, basically lying whenever possible to pander to whatever crowd they are in front of, then vote for them. I for one and THANKFUL that I don't have to listen to it anymore. The people in this country are too smart to invest their precious vote by giving it to two of the worst candidates ever presented.

                            http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/david-ignatius-cias-benghazi-timeline-reveals-errors-but-no-evidence-of-conspiracy/2012/11/01/a84c4024-2471-11e2-9313-3c7f59038d93_story.html

While FOX is still hammering away that this was a pivotal event, the tragic loss of life should not continue to be so politicized. Again, I look back at all of the men and women who sacrificed their lives looking for WMDs. I don't play "armchair" foreign policy and neither should you. Condoleeza Rice, one of Romney's supporters has continually asked all the conspiracy people to back down and let those that have the knowledge do their jobs.

Tell me you had the same contempt for Ronald Reagan, as he let 241 Marines get killed in Beruit...and did absolutely nothing about it.

Ronald Reagan. The original cut and runner.

Grow up and quit telling lies like your hero Romney. Only people like can't start bringing in all the imaginary friends that think the same way he does as that is his only argument.

If you are this upset over 4 Americans, you must be frothing at the mouth over the over 4000 that died in the Iraq war that republicans and faux lied us to. But, apparently all these deaths were acceptable to you.

The same people who lied America to war in Iraq are the same people lying to you about Bengazhi.

Apparently when a republican lies like Romney and his Jeep lie it is just fine.

When republicans lie about weapons of mass destruction and cause over 4000 Americans dead and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraq people it is just fine.

I trust the Commander in Chief and I voted a straight democratic ticket, and yes the best revenge is to vote the lying republicans out.

Interesting how the republicans protect the rights of gun owners, but not the right to vote. Which do you think is more important to a free democracy and free America?

Look around the world, only the dictators suppress the vote. Then ask yourself why would any republican suppress the vote? The very vote that has made America the great county she is.

                            VOTE FOR AMERICA...VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT 2012

500 Ex-military senior leaders representing all branches jointly took out an ad in The Washington Times in support and endorsement of Mitt Romney. Reitired rear admiral James J. Carey "...how very important it is that our fellow Americans choose a new Commander in Chief". Also in support of Romney was former SEAL commander retired rear admiral George K. Worthington who said "I am just not personally happy with this president". "It's not like I am trying to politicize the military, but we have 500 guys who say they support Romney. What's the other side have, 15".

                            The Truth about BOZOhussen..

Obama the promise BREAKER!! Equals a LIAR!!! BIG EMBARRASSMENT to the USA!!!

Obama’s promise that his healthcare proposals would “never be purchased with [a] tax increase on middle-class families.” The SUPREME COURT & JUSTICE DEPT say it is a TAX!!! .Attack on the middle Class! Taxation by misrepresentation---the LARGEST TAX in World History!!! Does he remove the tax part????....NO!!!

…….…NOW Obama wants to invade Syria and Iran!!!

..Mr. American Businessman..YOU DID NOT MAKE THAT!! It was stolen from the back of the worker---PURE MARXISM!!...this is PURE BS!!

…ANTI-American…tell it to Ford or Steve Jobs or the Mom& POP store on the corner>>>How is it that NON taxpayers built an Infrastructure??

…>>>Now BOZOhussen tells the UN that the 9/11 attacks on USA embassy’s were from a lame youtube video!!. While Over-the-HILl’ry and the Fed Security Depts. say it was a planned Al-Qaeda Islamic Terrorists… He tells the UN that NO where in the World should anyone be able to say anything against Islam or its profit( yes spelled that way on purpose~~). The Constitutional genius has forgotten the 1st Amendment!!.. TOtaLLY Un-American!!

,,>Latest News from Black Op experts say that the Seals killed in Benghazi were ‘lighting” a target for air support to strike, and in the process they exposed their position to the Muslim-Terrorists firing mortars at the USA Embassy ,which was Unarmed!!. That air support NEVER came. Shameful!!! The only reason the target was light-up and vis-à-vis the Seals were exposed, was so that Air support could hit the target, and thereby stop the attack on the Embassy. .For 7 hours the White House watched the attack by cameras in Drones overhead-- in real time..AND did nothing to help!! In fact, it would take the power of the White House to leave the Seals exposed and without Aid!!! These American Heroes bet their lives that such a situation would never occur!!! This is blood-boiling for any Freedom Loving American!! And especially for any VET!!! . And it spits in the face of all that is the Esprit-de-Corps that exists in the USA Armed Forces!! This goes beyond incompetence, it shows and Underlines Betrayal and Treachery!!!...Answers need to be given!! .No Executive Privilege---“Did I Do That??!!!”

He knew that the video spew was total sewage!!!

The way Romney/Ryan would see it, if there is a disaster you contact your governor for help. Out of his budget he can help replace dams, leve's, homes, bridges, sewage problems, water problems, help rebuild right? That would be the Romney plan. I will stay with President Obama

I remember how it was when he took the helm in the White House:

                            • the economy was near a second republican Great Depression
                            • banks were failing
                            • Lehman brothers was extinct
                            • businesses were going belly up
                            • 750,000 jobs were being lost monthly
                            • fat cats were laughing their wealthy bailed out a$$e$ off (still are)
                            • the auto industry was teetering on the brink
                            • Osama bin Laden was picking out a condo in Florida
                            • Mohamar Quaddafi was lovin' life n' livin' large
                            • Hosni Mubarak was playing scrabble
                            • Haliburton and Black Water had looted our treasury
                            • American children were starving in our streets

                            • 1,000 American kids dead in Afghanistan........for nothing
                            • 3,300 Americans dead in New York
                            • 1,100 Americans dead in New Orleans
                            • Deficits out to infinity

                            Want a repeat OF THAT??!!

Then join me in voting a straight Democratic ticket and throw out the republican pestilence that has been a parasite on our people for far too long. Make the repubs get a real job and put them to work off the government dole for once in their miserable lives.

OBAMA/BIDEN today, now. The battle is joined!

Hopefully, Florida will elect leadership one day that will make the way they hold elections seem to be at least more efficient than the way they hold elections in Libya. I almost expect to see pictures of voters there waving their purple fingers to show that they voted. Time for Florida to join the 21st century and leave the 3rd world behind.

That straw man burned down a long time ago. Why is it that no state enacting Voter ID laws can show not 1 conviction of someone impersonating someone for in person voting. These laws are set up to stop a problem that does not exists. Over and over again its prov-en only to disenfranchise the elderly and the poor. In Ohio the SOS was again this very morning changing the rules on voting. This goes against Federal law and the Judges last decision on Ohio voting rules.

Check the Facts on ACORN, they were required to turn in EVERY REGISTRATION but earmarked ones in question. Un-like the republican ones in Florida this year were they disposed any registration marked Democrat.

The GOP are using their main strength,....MONEY,...financial backing,...SUPER PACS $$$

ROMNEY IS ATTEMPTING TO CONTROL THE MESSAGE IN THESE FINAL DAYS WITH AN EXCESS OF ADVERTISEMENT AND PAID BLOGGERS. DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOP'S FALSE CONFIDENCE.

We must fight the overpowering influence and corruption of private interests.

NOW is the time to stand up and be counted !!!!!

Get out and vote,...and vote your conscience. THINK,...don't react to ads.

It has been typical of the GOP/right wing to confidently tell everyone that they want what they do not,...since the beginning of the Obama administration.

That is the nature of propaganda. Telling half of the truth as if it is all there is to hear or consider.

They knew Obama would support social change and vie for the interests of the people,...and that would get in the way of the bottom lines of the wealthy masters they serve.

Anyone who has been paying attention knows that the GOP is all about corporate welfare,...and that Romney/Ryan will gladly dismantle the entire social safety net,...repeal Roe vs Wade,....and further empower corporate America to become the defacto rulers of the country, dismantling the middle class and funneling as much wealth as possible to the top few percent of wealthy Americans.

Check the numbers,...THAT is what has been happening to us for years.

They will continue and accelerate the growing gap in earnings. Prepare to work longer and harder for less,...until you are very old indeed. I would SERIOUSLY consider the fate of your children under the policies being offered by Romney/Ryan,...unless of course you are sure that they will be millionaires.

Sure there are stagnant wages and fewer benefits for most,...but wages and bonuses for top management are soaring.

I find it hard to believe that Romney is able to convince so many to vote against their own self-interest.

I think we may find that the race isn't as close as Romney has paid for and would have you believe.

He's BUYING the election,...flooding the airwaves with the repetition of false promises,...a platform very different than that he promoted during his run for the Republican nomination (designed to get votes - "SURPRISE"),...and lies and half truths about president Obama.

I am quite sure that Romney/Ryan will do as they promised during the RNC if elected. They do not have the concern for the people that they are projecting to get votes. The middle class will be TOAST !!!

Are we still a country or are we becoming nothing more than a corporate interest ??!!!

WE NEED A PRESIDENT to lead a nation,...NOT A CEO/CFO to siphon off wealth for top management.

These are two VERY different jobs. THINK about what you are asking for BEFORE you vote.

On Tuesday, November 6th,...vote for "WE THE PEOPLE" : Vote for Barack Obama and Joe Biden

                                  liz,

Just a helpful hint, using a lot of exclamation points does not make your opinion more compelling or more accurate.

If Romney is a 'true leader', where would he truly lead us?

Can you name even one issue on which he has not completely changed his position?

Leadership is only great if it leads us in the right direction. Romney is like a compass with no 'true north', he has no direction and can only lead us in circles.

Neal- does that mean you'd prefer a puppet "with enough working digits to hold a pen" over the dynamic, decisive, innovative and FEARLESS President we have now?

Romney is a puppet. He has no beliefs, no principles, no morals and no f*****g BACKBONE! The aforementioned, along with personal wealth and great hair, are all characteristics he has in common with the last Republican "president"- George W. Bush, the tool of Cheney and Rove.

You Republicans don't know great leadership when you see it, as convincingly proven by your picks going back to 1976. Not a genuine leader in the bunch- just a bunch of empty suits.

Actually, Layton and TNSEVOL, I did pose exactly that question about ten seperate times over a week, along with, "Can you give us just ONE example of something the Republicans have done-or even proposed- in the last two years to make your life better?"

The only direct answer I ever got was some ninny whining that I was being rude. Imagine that... me, rude? Well, I never!

I didn't trust Obama in 2008; and after 4 years I know he have shown that he can't be trusted. He has to get Bill Clinton to go out for him to try to hold on to his job; and he has spent a billion dollars in negative ads -- I have yet to see one positive ad from Obama. But that was what he planned to do. Tell us what a bad person Romney is. Obama likes to talk about old ideas of the Republicans (it is true capitalism isn't a new idea) but Obama is using "dead ideas" developed in the 1930s and a few out of the 1960s. These ideas didn't work then, and they have not worked during the past 4 years.

I did get a 'robo-call' from Rick Santorum asking me to vote for Mitt Romney. That was one of about five I get per day from the Republicans. Of course, those calls came after I had already Early Voted. I wonder how many Democrat-registered voters would listen to Rick Santorum anyway?

The Obama campaign, meanwhile, sent a personalized letter to my wife thanking her for voting last time and listing the polling places and voting hours, including the early voting site and hours. They included a number in case she had any questions or needed a ride to the polls.

I didn't get that letter, because they knew I had already voted. That is another reason I am confident Pres. Obama will win Ohio, his 'ground game' is much more organized and effective.

TNSEVOL---I get GOP robo-calls all the time, too---had one from Rick, one from Governor Corbett of my state (the one who said about forcing women to have ultrasound probes---they can just turn their heads and not watch) and some others. I wish I could get a real person on the other end and give them my opinion of their party.

I did some phone banking over the weekend and was very impressed with the GOTV effort for Obama in my community.

Romney can stand on his own two feet, because he is the one running. The nation wants to hear his plans, and his vision. No smoke and mirrors needed.

Springstein, Powell and Clinton aren't up for (re) election. The guy fading in the background is.

Romney is a good used car salesman. TRUST ME he says, after you elect me I will tell you what my plan is!!!!! The things he has least wavered on, 2 Trillion more for the Pentagon that does not want it, 5 Trillion more in Tax Cuts for the 1%, Continue tax breaks to move American Jobs to China, make it a National Right to Work and remove the Minimum wage. TRUST ME he says. NO F####N WAY!!!

You do the math, 5+2 = 7 Trillion - Bigbird = 6.999999 Trillion more debt. And he is going to cut the debt? Go tell your creditors that your going to ask your boss for a pay cut to increase your income, bet you get laughed right out the door. Were do you think all that money from the Bush tax breaks for the 1 % went? To answer this look were G W Bush is today. He is giving a speech in the Cayman Islands talking to TAX HAVEN BANKERS.

Romney " Corporations are People to My friends" "Jeep is Moving Everything to China" Trust Me he says!!!!!!!!!!

Have you democrats forgotten so quickly about ACORN and their voter fraud?

When did they prove that? I must have missed that one. Seems to me they showed ACORN was not responsible for any voter fraud.

The Liberals have started their talking points(race, voter suppression, voting machines).

How come a week ago the NBC and CNN polls had the President up 3-5 points but now that the election day is here they are tied. Can you say trying to save face tomorrow?

                                      dog numbers,

Talking about what is obvious in Florida doesn't seem to be a liberal talking point. There is no way to defend what is going on there. It should not take standing in a line for 6 or 7 hours to cast your vote.

                                      There is no excuse, none!

And Yes! finger pointing at the people responsible seems to be justified. Funny how it turns out that these people turn out to be Republicans in every case.

Funny how the Republicans are blaming Hurricane Sandy for killing Romney's momentum. Sandy was an act of God, so I guess you could say he's on Obama's side. Even funnier in my opinion is that Sandy was a demonstration of climate change, which it seems a card carrying Republican can not believe in.

NOT interested in rumors or unsubstantiated comments about either candidate. The FACTS show:

Gov. Romeny's "economic plan" won't work and is filled with false Keystone job info (per Keystone). His tax plan won't work and will actually increase the deficit. Trickle down economics don't work (per the Sept. 2012 CRS study) except to increase the economic division between the rich and poor.

President Obama has been endorsed by Gen. Colin Powell. The recession has ended. We are gaining jobs instead of lost them and had economic growth in spite of pre-meditated GOP obstructionism.

These factual things will determine my vote tomorrow.

Thankfully, after tonight, the incessant lying campaign ads from both parties will stop. This has been the ugliest, most disgusting campaign I can remember (don't bother telling me different). Neither side has any ideas, neither side can refrain from outright lies (don't bother telling me different, I did my own fact checking), neither side can refrain from personal attacks and unless the makeup of Congress changes radically (not predicted), whoever gets elected will face gridlock from the other party. Regardless of who wins the country is in a very deep hole and will remain there for the next four years.

Unfortunately, the election will not stop the vitriol of the Feistys and her opposite numbers. One side will gloat and complain about the obstructionist other party and the other side will gloat about being obstructionist.

Great post. I for one, will return to all the fires burning on my own plate. However, I could not stand to sit silently, with so much at stake. I hope gridlock is not the prevailing issue for the next four years. But I am thankful to not see Feisty at post one, nearly every day, nor continue to witness grown adults use such childish name calling.

Reasonable and Rational is where we as a nation must be. Centrist is a perfect place to start. I choose Romney, because I think he is our greatest hope at this point in time.

An email I received from a Sensata Technologies worker:

                                      "
Today is my last day of work at Sensata Technologies after 33 years on the job, making high-quality, American auto sensors for car companies like Chrysler and GM.

And tomorrow—Election Day—I'm going to get up, I'm going to go to the polls, and then I will go and sign up for unemployment compensation for the first time in my life.

On behalf of all of the Sensata workers here in Freeport, Illinois, I wanted to thank you for turning the offshoring of our jobs into a national news story that people are paying attention to. We hope that when people go to the polls tomorrow, they remember what a Romney Economy did to our American dream.

What we see here in Freeport is the Romney Economy in action, where they outsource good manufacturing jobs to places like China. And all that's left in Freeport are part-time, minimum wage jobs, with no benefits. They’re jobs no family can survive on.

Mitt Romney created Bain Capital. He helped pioneer and still profits from the outsourcing of good American jobs to China. It's a business model that puts profits above people -- at all cost to us back home. And it's the approach he would take as CEO of our country.

We don’t want to be rich. We just want to have a decent house, in a decent neighborhood, and be able to support our families. But instead, we had our American dream ripped out from underneath us for nothing more than an extra buck.

You can bet your food money that Romney will return this country to policies that encourage companies to outsource jobs, or insource workers to fill job openings here because it will be cheaper than hiring YOU.

                                      liz,

Sensata is being shut down and outsourced to China by Bain Capital. http://rockrivertimes.com/2012/11/05/sensata-workers-vow-to-stay-at-%e2%80%98bainport%e2%80%99-until-they-win-full-severance/

Gov. Romney was one of the forerunners of taking advantage of outsourcing businesses and shutting them down in the US. Effectively putting US workers on the street in the name of increasing profits for Bain and its shareholders.

Your anger and vitriol at an American worker is unwarrented and unbecoming.

sirie, I partially agree with you. Only partially because Bain today follows the business model established by Gov. Romney.

And since HE is using his business acumen and experience as a campaign highlight we need to look at the history and impacts of his actions and decision making models.

Romney OWNS 51% of Sensata! Which is held by Bain Capital. I swear it seems most people on here need to be spoon fed the facts.

Get those fat fingers to work and look up the facts for yourself.

But Mitt Romney's connection to Sensata is even more direct. He is also personally invested in Sensata Technologies, according to his 2010 and 2011 tax returns, and last year got a huge tax break by moving some of his Sensata stock to one of his foundations.

That's right: Mitt Romney got a big tax break on his investment in his company that's shipping my job to China. My pain is Mitt Romney's gain.

The campaign said Mr. Romney put his fortune, estimated at $250 million, in a "blind trust" when he became Massachusetts governor in 2003. "The trustee of the blind trust has said publicly that he will endeavor to make the investments in the blind trust conform to Governor Romney's positions, and whenever it comes to his attention that there is something inconsistent, he ends the investment," the statement said

Welcome to Romney's outlook on American workers and their future.

Sensata shows up nearly every day, with a story about 170 employees at risk. While I worry whenever anyone loses a job, I think there are other stories worth air time.

What about the 1861 Solyndra staff that didn't have time to clear their desks? Obama wasn't even an investor, but you and I were because he took OUR tax dollars, and gave to his VC buddies...only to have tax cash and salaries flushed to the Pacific.

It is not the Republicans who is trying to prevent people from voting. It is the likes of the New Black Panthers who am sure will try to intimidate people again. They think by showing their faces and their batons that we will be afraid to vote and just scurry away. IT IS NOT GOING TO WORK THIS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Romney/Ryan in 2012. Obama start packing your bags because you will be heading back to Chicago very shortly. It will be a landslide for Romney and Ryan..........so liberals/democrats get your tissues ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

liz - your post is not only inaccurate - it's blatantly false. Black Panthers did not influence the last election and they will not influence this one. Now the GOP obstructionists are trying their best to suppress votes for President Obama - that is where the voter "fraud" is taking place - within the Republican party - as usual.

What all you republicans can't wait to return the success of the bush presidency?

What a failure President Obama has been, he turned around our country and we are growing our way out of a republican caused recession. The policies that Romney has promised to return to.

We all know who caused the gridlock.

Lie all you want but we know the republicans met and decided before President Obama's first day that they were going to obstruct the recovery of America to bring down the peoples choice for president.

So the republicans have been telling one lie after another and spreading hate so they could return to power and finish the destruction of America that the republicans started and were so rudely interrupted by the election of President Obama.

I voted a straight democratic ticket, the perfect revenge for the vote suppressing republican party.

                                      Fun fact from Bloomberg...

"Seventy percent of counties with the fastest-growth in food-stamp aid during the last four years voted for the Republican presidential candidate in 2008, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture data compiled by Bloomberg. They include Republican strongholds like King County, Texas, which in 2008 backed Republican John McCain by 92.6 percent, his largest share in the nation; and fast-growing Douglas County,Colorado."

Guess that makes sense when you consider the number of Republicans who say they hate Government run healthcare, but love Medicare.

I see this in my own county, the poorest in the state, also the reddest. Food stamps and other programs (help with heating costs, electricity, etc.) are the norm.

Another interesting point, it is predominately white (over 92%).

Authorities are looking into it. It wouldn't help anyway. Texas is a PROUD RED STATE. Any intimidation in our State isn't taken lightly. It's a good thing the Polling Watches ran them off before they bit off more than they could chew.

There are blog reports on the internet. To date, there is ONLY the word of ONE person who was a poll watcher and belongs to the group "True the Vote" (associated with the King Street Patriots).

If true, it's an issue that needs to be seriously addressed as appropriate. In not true, then the poll watcher is lying.

My question is this, how come she didn't use her phone (which she states in teh blog she used to call people downtown) to take pictures? Especially if the poll workers were not taking action as she accuses?

It's all over them dangdable interwebs!! Reported by a "true the vote" trained observer... Who was incidentally told by her "superiors" to "stand down" (that's hokey volunteer talk for STFU). Of course she didn't, because she's the type that volunteers for "True the vote"...

The intimidation seems to have come in the form of giving out bottled water and helping the elderly. The links are hilarious though... NAACP "operatives"... "Obama Storm Troopers"... These people worry about and make lies up about a thousand harmless things in order to ignore the fact that their candidate has no morals whatsoever and couldn't give a rats ass if they lived or died.

That sounds like jealousy, Uncle Henry.....

I am sure they were thanking President Obama for:

                                      1. The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.

                                      2. The Recovery Act /Stimulus that supported millions of jobs and stopped a second Great Depression.

                                      3. The Auto Industry Bailout that added nearly a quarter of a million new jobs since June 2009.

                                      4. Increased funding for Pell Grants.

                                      5. Student Loan reform & American Opportunity Tax Credit that offers $10,000 for four years of college.

                                      6. Race to the Top Initiative that raised academic standards.

                                      7. Additional 5.2 million new private sector jobs added over the last 31 months - leading to the lowest unemployment rate since President Obama took office.

                                      8. Support for marriage equality, direction to the DOJ to stop defending DOMA, extending hospital visitation rights to same-sex partners, and repealing “Don't Ask, Don't Tell".

                                      9. Health care reform - affordable health coverage for everyone, lower premiums by $2,000, expanded preventive care, coverage for pre-existing conditions, coverage for 3 million more young adults,.

                                      10. Wall Street reform including the end of "too big to fail" and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

Plus: President Obama ended the war in Iraq, is winding down the war in Afghanistan, expanded healthcare and job training for our Veterans, implemented the toughest sanctions in history on Iran, negotiated a New START Treaty with Russia, approved the raid on Osama Bin Laden and has decimated al Qaeda's senior leadership.

Uncle Henry, just another case of Romnesia. I guess you forgot that the republicans broke our economy before President Obama was elected.

So if your income decreased you can thank a republican.

You can also thank a republican for voting against any and every jobs bill including one for our returning veterans that would grow our economy.

As usual the republicans never let the truth get in the way of a good republican talking point lie.

Talk about a dolt, you are voting to increase your taxes to pay for tax cuts for Romney and his rich campaign contributors. Republicans think they are so smart and yet would vote to return to the bush recession with Romney.

Romney couldn't create jobs when governor and you believe he can create jobs now? Did the republicans produce the jobs they promised in 2010 or did they vote over 50 times to limit a woman's rights and name a few post offices?

If the republicans were honest and doing what is best for America, they wouldn't be trying to suppress the vote as the only way they can win.

The real HJV you refer to has been heavily edited with many original books left out. History will record Romney as the greatest deliberate liar unless he has some type of mental illness. Bush will place as the greatest non intentional liar. I researched the Iraqi war and there was over about 1400 lies Bush told. This country's policy toward Isarel and the wars of Daddy and Baby Bush are responsible for our great # of enemies in the Middle East.

Take the time to look things up. Jobs now up from a low in 12/09
of 129 Mil (the depth of the recession) to now at 134.5 Mil. Under the Obama
Administration, unemployment is down from high of 10.1 % to 7.9%. I remind you
that under President Reagan the unemployment was up by one percent from the
time he was sworn in (6.3%) to the time he was running for re-election (7.4%).
We also suffered ten straight months of 10+% unemployment under Reagan.
Inflation was at 14%. And that recession he "inherited" from
President Carter paled in comparison to the recession starting in '07 and '08.
The Reagan deficit more than tripled. And under Obama the deficit has not
"doubled" as the Fox talking heads continually state as though a
                                            fact.

Also ask yourself, how on earth can Romney create 12 Mil jobs

over the next two years, when effective unemployed stands at 12.5 Mil today. We
have never had zero unemployment. The civilian workforce in the U.S. stands at
154 Mil people. Even ten percent unemployment means 15.4 Mil out of work. 12
Mil jobs would bring that down to 3.4 Mil unemployed. That would be an
effective unemployment rate of less than two percent. Never happens in a full
                                            economy.

Another Romney lie!!!!! Just like the Italians moving Jeep to
China! Romney is resorting to fear mongering!

Hey Miers= I am a christian and according to you and Mike Huckabee I guess I am going to Hell for voting for President Obama. What give you the right to tell me that i am going to hell? I am voting for President Obam because he cares about people. He cares about the vets, the middle class, and the poor. He wants us to have health care so our children don't go sick, or hungry. He wants our children to go to school and he is helping them do that. He cares about our communities, and how run down they are and he wants to do something about that. These are the things he focuses on not on his wealth, and fine clothes, cars, houses etc. It is the Republican party that has stopped people from moving forward in their lives by saying no to jobs bills. They are the party that has destroyed peoples lives. The Republican party is all about greed, money, power. When judgement day comes and it will, I have a feeling some people will be going to hell but I don't think it will be christian people who care about their fellow man instead of themselves and all their wealth.

                                            Christians for Obama/Biden 2012

How stupid is it for a pres. candidate to be talking about a binder full of women? For him to even point this out is so f____— up that I have to just shake my head in despair about it.
