President Barack Obama leaned on the power of incumbency in his first campaign event after Hurricane Sandy, striking a unifying tone at a late-morning rally in Wisconsin while ridiculing GOP nominee Mitt Romney's effort to seize the mantle of "change."
"After four years as president, you know me by now," said Obama, who jogged down the stairs of Air Force One to the waiting crowd in Green Bay.
President Obama will be going to Ohio every day before the election – a state where he is currently polling ahead of Mitt Romney. GOP contender Romney will be stopping only twice in Ohio and then twice in New Hampshire where he appears to be in the lead. NBC's Chuck Todd reports.
"Let me tell you, Wisconsin: we know what change looks like," the bomber jacket-clad president said at another point in the speech. "And what the governor is offering sure ain’t change."
The president and Romney each turned to their closing arguments for voters, just five days before Election Day and in the wake of a hurricane-induced campaign pause.
Speaking Thursday morning in Virginia, where he hadn't appeared in 15 days, Romney appealed to themes that have dominated his campaign for months. The former Massachusetts governor argued that the nation's economy couldn't withstand another four years of a Democrat in the White House.
A day after he toured storm-stricken New Jersey, President Obama resumed his campaign with an event in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
And Romney revived his experience in the private sector as his chief qualification versus Obama, seizing on a throwaway line from the president during a weekend interview on MSNBC about naming a "secretary of business."
"He’s got to find something to suggest it’s going to better over the next four years. And so he came up with an idea last week which his he’s going to create the department of business," Romney told a crowd of 3,000 in Roanoke. "I don’t think adding a new chair in his cabinet will help add millions of jobs on Main Street."
He added: "We don’t need a secretary of business to understand business we need a president who understands business, and I do."
GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney hits the campaign trail in Roanoke, Virginia criticizing President Obama's economic and energy policies.
The campaign resumed its aggressive tenor on Thursday after a more subdued tone in the wake of this week's hurricane. Romney and Obama's aides did battle in the press over the question of which candidate has momentum on his side entering the home stretch.
A series of NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polls released early Thursday suggested the president has an advantage in Iowa, but faces tighter contests with Romney in New Hampshire and Wisconsin (a reliably blue state which Republicans have sought to put in play this cycle).
In his bid to overtake the president, Romney revived his assertion that he was the candidate of "change" -- taking direct aim at the sentiment that propelled Obama's 2008 election.

President Barack Obama waves at supporters during a campaign rally at Austin Straubel International Airport in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on November 1, 2012.
"We need real change. For real change we’re going to have to take a different course," Romney said. "And I think that’s what Americans are going to do on Nov. 6."
That assertion earned Romney a rebuke from Obama, who accused his Republican opponent of masquerading familiar Republican proposals as new and fresh.
"In the closing weeks of this campaign, Gov. Romney has been using all his talents as a salesman to dress up these very same policies that failed our country so badly, the very same policies we've been cleaning up after for the past four years," Obama said.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney waves as he takes the stage for a campaign event at a window and door factory, Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, in Roanoke, Va.
The president launched into an almost wistful look back at his first term in arguing his case for a second. He acknowledged that not all Americans agreed with his positions, but, "You know what I believe, you know where I stand."
Obama's event also allowed the president, in many ways, the opportunity to remind voters that is the acting commander in chief, including his more upbeat opening in Wisconsin talking about the hurricane.
"We've also been inspired these past few days -- because when disaster strikes, we see America at its best. All the petty differences that consume us in normal times, all seem to melt away," he said. "There are no Democrats or Republicans during a storm -- they're just fellow Americans."
The storm continued to cast a pall over the campaign, though the sharp rhetoric returned to normal. But Ann Romney reached a moment of levity in Ohio when asking voters to donate to the Red Cross via text message, using a number that became associated with one of her husband's Republican primary foes.
"What does that remind you of? Herman Cain's 9-9-9!" she said to laughter. "You can remember that."

Mitt had his private helicopter fly him along the coastline and Mitt remarked that the devastation and filthy living conditions and general chaos was unbelievable.....and he only flew from San Francisco to L.A.........Christie won't let him near the East coast........Mitt did say that he knew how the flood victims in New Jersey feel...in fact he is Friends with the guy who owns New Jersey...
grrrrr... aggressive campaigning.... "I will do this", "He will not do that", "I like kittens", "He eats kittens", "My family is better than your family", "No, my family is better", "my favorite color is red", "my favorite color is blue".....
Looking for someone with a plan. I want a perfect world too, but gotta have a plan to get there.
Both of them have a plan. Romney's plan is to cut taxes for the rich and gut medicare and medicaid and spend two trillion dollars the military didn't ask for.
Last Friday on CNN one of Romney's budget experts admitted that his budget adds to the debt for seven years, hoping to balance it only in year 8.
How's that for a plan?
Tampon... that is not true. You are re-tweeting or trolling or whatever they call it.
The defense budget is separated into tons of expenditures and classifications. Less boats, less troops, and less bayonets is the bottom line.
Check the Washington Post Fact checker. Obama has budgeted 34 more ships that with retirements will increase from 285 currently to 300 - same as Romney is proposing. Low point of navy ships was under Bush, not Obama.
Romney says Obama's budget is the sequestration cuts. Neither party will permit that. Obama offered a compromise deal on the budget of spending cuts and tax increases on the rich - spending cuts 250 percent higher. Romney refused to increase the 15 percent capital gains income tax on the rich.
What "ships". You, CNN, and the Washington Post may be a bit lopsided in your view of things. A row boat is not a ship. Look at total subclass itemized budget expenditure plans. They are right there on the net... about 12000 pages of them... good luck.
Obama will win re-election.
Obama's failures:
1. At the close of the Bush presidency, the U.S. was clearly unpopular in the Muslim world. President Obama announced a new policy of friendship and understanding in his speech in Cairo. Polls today show that Muslims are more anti U.S. than ever.
2. With great fanfare, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reset the button with Russia. The first product of this new relationship was revising the plans for European ballistic missile defense. The Russians claimed that the proposed system threatened their ability to destroy other nations. I have had personal involvement in the ballistic missile defense area for many years. My last involvement after I retired was as a member of a Committee set up to review the technical adequacy of the Army's program and to contribute to the technical solutions. The Russians' claim is absurd. We have told the Russians that the proposed system is not a threat to their offensive capability. The Russians are competent in ballistic missile defense and know this themselves. But they press on. Obama was caught explaining that after the election he would have more flexibility. This is a scandal. The stated objective of the Russians is to increase their influence in the countries that used to be dominated by the Soviet Union and to decrease the influence of the West. We have undercut Poland in our anxiety to satisfy the Russians. And now it is reported from Russia that an effort by Russian President Vladimir Putin to recalibrate his relationship with the U.S. is underway. Perhaps a new reset ceremony.
3. A new hand was offered to Iran. We have been careful not to provide support for democratic elements in Iran. We continue to participate in talks that have no result. Iran has plunged ahead with its nuclear weapons program and has repeatedly vowed to destroy Israel.
4. The Obama administration was not the first to attempt to improve relations with Syria. But it was the first to publicly call Syrian President Bashar al-Assad a reformer. Poor judgment by Clinton, to say the least.
Now, failures are to be expected. Obama, based on his world view, believed that these initiatives would be successful. He cannot be criticized for trying, but he most certainly should be criticized for his false assumptions and persistence in continuing his failed policies.
What policies should Romney propose?
1. First of all, he should emphasize that costly military activities in recent years have shown that the U.S. is not antagonistic to Islam. In Bosnia, Muslims were protected from Christians. The U.S. entered Afghanistan to drive out Al Qaeda. The current Muslim government is supported by the U.S. Iraq has a Muslim government.
2. The U.S. will not water down the free speech amendment in its Constitution no matter how many times the Muslims riot. The U.S. will not sign any UN statement affecting free speech and will ignore any such UN statement that might appear.
3. The U.S. government will neither approve nor disapprove of videos, cartoons, etc. that are considered offensive by religious groups. We will not apologize for them. It is not the function of the U.S. government to criticize or apologize for expressions of free speech. Clinton, just the other day, addressed the Pakistanis, imploring them to understand that the U.S. government had nothing to do with the anti-Muslim video. How strange. The rioting mobs are not rioting because the U.S. government was involved in the production of the video. They have rioted because the U.S. did not suppress the video and imprison or execute those who made it. Her speech was a clear sign of weakness with a smell of panic involved. It is no surprise that some Pakistani cleric issued a fatwa to kill the maker of the film.
4. We don't appreciate being threatened with attack by Iran if Israel should carry out an attack against Iran. We don't control Israel. The Iranians should understand that if they attack U.S. forces under such circumstances, the U.S. response will not just be defensive. We will destroy all of the Iranian oil and gas facilities along the Persian Gulf in addition to keeping the Straits of Hormuz open.
5. Obama's promise, accidentally overheard, that after the election he can be more flexible on European missile defense is a scandal, as noted above. He clearly believes that if we did what the Russians want, there would be a loud outcry in the U.S. So wait until he is reelected when he can sell out U.S. interests and allies. At the least this shows that Obama is fundamentally dishonest.
6. The Administration has obviously been toying with the idea of releasing the blind sheik, Abdel-Rahman, now in prison for his role in the first World Trade Center bombing. This would be taken by Islamists as an admission of the lack of impartiality of U.S. courts. How ironic. Attorney General Eric Holder has pushed to try other terrorists in U.S. courts. Does he or does he not believe in the validity of trying terrorists in U.S. courts? Obama tries to avoid this question by deciding which reputed terrorists are to be killed instead of tried in court.
7. Appeasement did not persuade Hitler to give up his ambitions. Similarly appeasement will not deter the Islamists from their objective of violently spreading Islam in Europe and the U.S. Appeasement is always taken as a sign of weakness and only encourages the aggressor. It is the path to war, not peace, as Neville Chamberlain believed.
God's failures

Romney wants to put missiles in Poland on Russia's border and restart the cold war. Very stupid even if you think that most of Russia's policies diverge from ours.
Not the brightest crayon in the box are you Cowboy.
Iowa remains neck-and-neck in the closing days of Election 2012, with Mitt Romney now showing a one-point lead.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Iowa Voters finds the Republican challenger with 49% support, while President Obama earns 48% of the vote. Two percent (2%) like someone else in the race, and one percent (1%) is undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Mitt Romney has the lead in Ohio and trails narrowly in Wisconsin, according to a new poll for the Republican group Citizens United.
Romney leads Obama by 49 to 46 percent in Ohio, according to the poll, and trails Obama in Wisconsin by 49 to 47 percent, according to polling first obtained by The Hill.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 49% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns the vote from 47%. One percent (1%) prefers some other candidate, and three percent (3%) remain undecided.

Tompom--It's not Russia's policies that are a concern it's their possible aggression resulting from extension of some of those policies. Weakness, unfortunately, continues to invite aggression.--- a lesson Obama has hopefully learned if he gets in again.
My favorite Romneyism of the week-FEMA should be disbanded. It's immoral. after the hurricane-as your president i will make sure FEMA has all the money they need. How can you vote for a guy who will literally tell you whatever you want?
Does anyone know if it is true the president signed an exceutive order (when he first took office) that he can not be removed from office should things be bad in the US, meaning even if he loses he can not be removed? This is something that is going around now in the midwest. And just wondered if it was true or if any of it is true. You all know how things get turned around sometimes. But this is a bit unnerving to me....
Yes Obama signed an order that if he loses the election the Congress is disolved and he becomes totalitarian socialist dictator of the world for life.
If only Gingrich had been president - he was going to start a new colony on the moon that would live by miniing the green cheese in abundance there.
Anybody else see Romney performing for the cameras at the fake food distribution photo-op?
Romney picked up a couple of cases of water and handed it to someone else.
Job well done Romney!
Reminded me of the fake pot scrubbing the Ryan did a while back. Hilarious. If you haven't seen the full video, don't miss that one. Heelarious! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcprUXn2WUg
But back to Romney's fake food distribution photo-op, it was supposed to be to benefit the Red Cross, but anyone who knows anything at all about the Red Cross knows that they don't want cases of bottled water, they want CASH.
Romney bought $5k of food for people to "donate" back to him at his phony "hurricane" rally
It was a politcal rally that at the last minute was "pretended" to be a food drive. So the Romney campaign went to a WALLMART and bought 5k worth of food which was handed out to people who showed up at the rally and then they rolled cameras and had the people pretend that they were donating food for hurricane victims.
It couldn't have been any sleazier.
Even if it had been real it wouldn't have been what the Red Cross wants people to do because the bottled water and canned food drives are for local emergencies for the most part.
In fact, giving cans of food and cases of bottled water is actually a burden for the Red Cross when they are trying to deal with a regional or national disaster.
I guess Romney hasn't ever helped out in a disaster before, if he had, he would know that.
Which is odd, because when he was Governor of Mass, there was a disaster about 3 miles from his house, but he didn't even drop by.
At a press conference this morning on Staten Island, a host of local officials, including Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, gathered to highlight the needs of the hard-hit borough in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. And, although many pols spoke, no one was more impassioned than Borough President James Molinaro, who called the Red Cross an "absolute disgrace" and even urged the public to cease giving them contributions.
"Because the devastation in Staten Island, the lack of a response," Mr. Molinaro said to explain his comment to NBC after the press conference. "You know, I went to a shelter Monday night after the storm. People were coming in with no socks, with no shoes. They were in desperate need. Their housing was destroyed. They were crying. Where was the Red Cross? Isn't that their function? They collect millions of dollars. Whenever there's a drive in Staten Island, we give openly and honestly. Where are they? Where are they? I was at the South Shore yesterday, people were buried in their homes. There the dogs are trying to find bodies. The people there, the neighbors who had no electricity, were making soup. Making soup. It's very emotional because the lack of a response. The lack of a response. They're supposed to be here….They should be on the front lines fighting, and helping the people."
Several other local officials agreed with Mr. Molinaro's rage over Staten Island's situation, although they did not call out the Red Cross specifically.
"It is as the borough president, Jim Molinaro, said, it's disgusting, it really is," State Senator Andy Lanza said, criticizing the city for giving the go-ahead to the New York City Marathon this weekend and the focus on pumping the water out of the East River tunnels. "We're talking about getting water of the tunnel. Let's get the water out of the tunnel tomorrow, let's get the people out of the water today. There've been thousands of people who have been displaced. There are people who are cold, who are hungry, who are without a place to go, and looking for warmth. There are people still trapped. Yet we're talking about marathons and tunnels. I walked on the rooftop of a house yesterday, I stepped on it because the debris that surrounded it was level with the rooftop. That's what happened here on Staten Island."
Congressman Michael Grimm concurred.
"I think this is an example of what infuriates people here on Staten Island," he said. "Like Senator Lanza just said, we have people, people still in water. Families displaced, families wondering where their grandparents are. Are they at a shelter? Are they at a hospital? Or are they gone? That's what we should be focusing on. I think it would be very misguided to have this marathon. I think that the people of Staten Island will see this, unfortunately…as another shot against them, that the City Hall is more worried about getting everything running again for Manhattan and making everything look like it's back to normal. We're not back to normal and we're not going to be back to normal for a long time."
Wal Mart immediately sent that $5000 over to China to buy more crap.
We should have immediately sent Schwartznegger or Rambo over in a backpack rocket from the US base in Sigonella, Sicily, to cross the Mediterranean and save everyone. The generals thought it was a bad idea to bomb Benghazi and kill a bunch of civilians when they weren't sure what was going on.
Romney would have shot first and aimed later, apparently - that would have put the crowds against US. Instead they attacked the militarnt HQ in support of us. Ambassador Stevens father asked the Republicans to stop using his son's death for political purposes. Romney stopped, but the goobers can't let it go and wait for the full facts to come out. Cherry picking incomplete information to reach false conclusions is more fun.
I want these elections to be over with already so our government can get back to work instead of all this BS back and forth his fault your fault... Just do what Christie and Obama did just shut up and fix what needs to be fixed
VOTE OBAMA/BIDEN 2012 and SAVE US FROM A romney/ryan DISASTER!!!
SAVE our children and grandchildren from being killed and mamed in war that the cowards of Romney family want and will hide at home!!!!
Presiden Obama has a plan he is working on NOW and it is working ... NO President can instantly do what Romney claims he can.. he cannot even tell why windows on a plane dont open.. He does not know who our main enemy is.. he says russia... He thinks cleaning a high school football field is like cleaning up after a DISASTER!!!
Plain and simple: Romney is an idiot and a liar.
He knows nothing about foreign policy and embarrassed the US on all of his overseas trips.
He thinks we need more ships even though NO ONE ELSE DOES, including the NAVY!
He claims to have sought out women for cabinet positions in Massachusetts. The TRUTH is a program called MassGAP approached him before and after the election and submitted resumes for qualified female candidates they felt should be considered. Romney initially hired 14 women among 33 appointments to his cabinet (42%), but by the end of his four-year term women in his cabinet only amounted to 25% of the positions.
Romney keeps saying he loves teachers. The TRUTH is the teachers of Massachusetts graded him an "F" for his lack of support of teachers when he was governor.
President Obama helped to bring us from the brink of a depression, saved the auto industry, PASSED REAL HEALTHCARE REFORM (similar to Romney's, which he now claims is a bad idea), passed a stimulus package, ended the war in Iraq, began the drawdown from the war in Afghanistan, passed Wall Street reform, took out Osama Bin Ladin, reversed Bush torture policies, improved America's image abroad (the vast majority of KEY allies support President Obama), expanded Pell grant spending, improved fuel efficiency standards, increased support for veterans, passed the Lilly Ledbetter act to improve pay for women, AND MORE! Do your own homework.
Are we where we need to be? Not yet.
What has hindered economic progress? Elected Republican "leaders" who vowed to "take down this president" AS THEIR NUMBER ONE GOAL! Yep, their goal wasn't to help you and me. Their goal was to stand in the way of President Obama's progress PRECISELY so they could come before you now and say he hasn't done enough. I call that treason. You should vote against every Republican who voted down the President's jobs and veterans bills. The GOP has severely hampered job creation and recover, and you want to put one of them -- the biggest liar of all -- in office? SHAME ON YOU.
If you TRULY want continued progress, vote OBAMA/BIDEN!
So Obama now has time to explain why he and Clinton ignored the recently discovered cables from our murdered ambassador in which the ambassador warned that he and the staff were in extreme danger, that Al Qaeda was flying flags in nearby buildings, and that he feared an attack was imminent. Maybe he can make available the photos of him sitting in the White House situation room watching our people being attacked and not doing a single thing to save them!! The mortar locations were being painted by targeting lasers by our brave Seals, but he never sent fighters that were an hour away to help, nor ordered for the drones to attack the mortar sites. He never sent the forces we had just two hours away to help either. He was so afraid the voters would find out he and Clinton had been lying about Al Qaeda being defeated and on the ropes that he let our people be slaughtered rather than expose his lies. Where is the media in all this? They wore Watergate out where no one died, but ignore this horrible act by Obama. The blood of those brave Americans is on Obama's hands yet there are millions of people who will still vote for him to get free stuff from the government. As a veteran, to have a deceitful lying man with no honor like Obama as the commander in chief of our military sickens me. He should be impeached at a minimum and probably imprisoned for purposely allowing those men to die for political reasons.
Stop watching fox, you are looking as stupid as Romney
Fox News is campaigning 24/7 for Mitt (looks like you don't miss much either) and he is still going to lose the electoral vote by a landslide.
Turn off Faux News and experience the real world.
Did Barack Obama have a "Mission Accomplished" moment with dreadful consequences in Libya? Libya's former Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril believes he did.
Perhaps you'll recall when George W. Bush stood on the flight deck of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln and a banner positioned behind him read "Mission Accomplished" regarding Iraq on May 1, 2003. It was a moment that haunted him throughout the rest of his presidency and beyond, as the Iraq War continued on for eight and a half more years.
And just as many Democrats say Bush made a premature call after the sacking of Baghdad and the toppling of the Hussein regime, so too the former Libyan PM says Obama counted his eggs before they hatched.
Jibril has "accused the United States and its NATO allies of high-tailing it out of [Libya] as soon as dictator Moammar Gadhafi was disposed a year ago." He says the quick departure created "a power vacuum" that has allowed radicals, like those who attacked the Benghazi consulate, to strengthen their numbers and flourish.
According to Jibril:
After the collapse of the regime, the immediate task of our friends was to help us rebuild the government before they withdrew from Libya. [But] the moment the regime fell down, they felt that their mission [had] been accomplished. I think it was a premature decision.
The United States was asked by the Arab League and by the UN to prevent Ghadaffi's planned bloodbath in Benghazi. Even Russia abstained to let the UN resolution pass.
Normally we shouldn't have intervened in a civil but since the whole world asked us to (except Algeria) we would have lost credibility and influence worldwide if we had permitted the bloodbath to take place.
Obama declined McCain's suggestion for a full invasion that would have made us responsible for fixing Libya for a decade or more. He acted quickly and effectively with no loss of American lives. He let France and the UK exceed the UN resolution in their neighbor and oil supplier.
Obama's action was excellent, appropriate and effective. We are not responisble for fixing Libya, though we will give them a helping hand, incluidng tracking down the terrorists that attacked our Consulate.
If Stevens was so worried about the danger in the Consulate, why didn't he stay in Tripoli. In fact he walked and jogged in the streets, not championing the idea of hiding in a fortress. He died of smoke inhalation in the safe haven - there may have been a flaw in the design.
It would have been impractical and foolish to invade Libya on the Consulate attack and wouldn't have saved the Ambassador's life. We don't yet have the full details and is hasn't been released yet if they know whether the attack was home grown or had substantial foreign planning. The goobers want to launch attacks against Obama based on incomplete information. Romney has dropped those attacks and said in his foreign policy speech that Obama wasn't responsible for the Ambassador's death. The goobers think Romney was wrong.
Tompom, recently released cables by whistle blowers tired of Obama's deceit and lies prove you are totally wrong.
Obama is down to mostly repetitive Blue Screens. Long past time to uninstalled this failed app.
Romney tried his best to look relevant during the disaster on the east coast but just couldn't do it. His "non political" disaster aid events were thinly veiled attempts to make Romney look human. Romney wants to do away with FEMA and handle disaster aid through collection drives and bake sales! If Romney would have been president he would have shown up in New Jersey with a truck load of pickles and cat food to help with all the devastation. Now he has to go back to what he does best - LYING
Obama/Biden 2012
A vote for Romney is a vote to take us back in time to a sexist, racist, and classist society.
And the ease with which he lies and his ability to get people who are too lazy to research the FACTS to believe him is truly scary and disheartening.
The most racist president in American history is Obama. Since Obama pays his female staffers less than their male peers and constantly treats women as stupid enough to vote for their presidential choice for free birth control pills, he is also sexist. Obama has promoted class warfare as part of his presidency on an almost daily basis. I am 70 years old and I have never seen another president divide this country as this inept immoral man has.
Hey Georgie. How about G.W. Bush???? The only President that was not elected, he was selected. I'm quite sure that divided this country.
During the hurricane aftermath, Romney went to Ohio to help with the disaster. (That's where the major disaster is brewing for him).
The idiot, Romney, did a photo op in which he asked people to bring canned food donations for the Red Cross.
1) The Red Cross DOESN'T COLLECT FOOD. They need money and blood donations. Period.
2) People who didn't bring food weren't allowed in for the photo op.
3) Romney's people were afraid he'd look incapable of drumming up donation support so they went to Walmart and spent $5,000 on food and diapers to stage as donation props.
4) When people showed up without donations and wanted to greet Romney, they were handed already-paid-for props to pretend they had donated them... all to look good for the photo op.
Pure stupidity.
Pure dishonesty.
Romney's campaign bought 5 grand worth of goods at Wal-Mart so his 'supporters' could 'donate' to the relief effort. Too bad those trucks carrying all those supplies from Ohio will take days to get to anywhere on the East Coast...and then get in the way. Way to help, Mitt!!
Remove the voting machines that are tied with the Romney's. this is a conflict of interest.
I would like to know what is installed in all the machines, I'm sure they could do anything since this was thought out long before the elections.
Remove them, someone needs to stop their
Cheating and Lying
Been saying this for a while. Detroit News article predicts Romney win in Michigan.
www.detroitnews.com/article/20121031/MIVIEW/210310454
Good luck with that.
Mittens hates Auto Workers. They are part of the 47% burden on society.
Say what you want, read the article and see if it has anything to do with luck.
Romney certainly can claim that he is the true agent of "Change" you can believe in....change from pro choice to pro life, from privatizing FEMA to full funding of FEMA, from anti auto industry bailout to claiming credit for the success of the bailout, from criticizing the President on Iraq and Afghanistan to agreeing with the President's actions in ending the involvement. Yes, Romney is familiar with "change". Wonder what position he will change today?
Romney is the king of "Change my mind about every policy and convince naive voters it never changed."
All of them.
Yes I want 4 more years like the last, what is everyone complaining about?
Mitt says he is an expert at environmental cleanup because he once helped out after a high school football game.
That was his butler. Don't be silly.
Every time I see a photo of the destruction from hurricane Sandy, reminds me of Obamas presidency.
It appears the liberals, free loaders, and socialists that support Obama prefer a drug using, beer swilling, egotistical, pro baby killing, pro gay marriage, pot head who would rather see brave Americans die in Libya than lose a few votes, to a brilliant manager, who has never had an alcoholic drink in his lifetime, who worked for three years without pay to save the Olympics, and created a company that if you had invested $1,000 on day one would now be worth $39,000,000 and millions of pensioners depend on for their financial security. The fact that Mitt has personally created over 100,000 jobs and worked without pay as governor of Massachusetts doesn't mean much to free loaders. When Trump offered $5,000,000 to Obama's favorite charity of he would release his school records and passport records, Obama ignored that, because it would expose him for the fraud he is. Mitt's college records are public. He graduated 3rd in his class at BYU and graduated Cum Laude from Harvard while carrying dual degrees in both business and law. He gave 100% of his millions in inheritance to charity and annually donates about 30% of his income to charity. Obama, on the other hand, has a brother in Kenya living on around $10 per month and he has never sent him a dime. WHO really cares about the needy? Obama is a dishonest dishonorable man who even called the Ft. Hood massacre by the Muslim terrorist major "work place violence" How can any American dishonor the soldiers killed there or the Americans killed in Libya by voting for the waste of good oxygen?
Bush did not give any security and he knew months ahead of time.
9/11 2,996 people killed our soil
No thank you no more con't Bush policies
Tripathi, who was the the campaign manager for Christopher Wight, Republicon candidate for Congress in New York’s 12th District

I Too Have Become Disillusioned.
By Matt Patterson (columnist - Washington Post, New York Post, San Francisco Examiner)
Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, the result of a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world's largest economy, direct the world's most powerful military, execute the world's most consequential job?
Imagine a future historian examining Obama's pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League, despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a "community organizer;" a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, so often did he vote "present"); and finally an unaccomplished single term in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions.
He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature legislation as a legislator. And then there is the matter of his troubling associations: the white-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as Obama's "spiritual mentor"; a real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama's colleague and political sponsor. It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?
Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal: To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberal Dom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass. Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass - held to a lower standard - because of the color of his skin.
Podhoretz continues: And in any case, what did such ancient history matter when he was also so articulate and elegant and (as he himself had said) "non-threatening," all of which gave him a fighting chance to become the first black president and thereby to lay the curse of racism to rest?
Podhoretz puts his finger, I think, on the animating pulse of the Obama phenomenon - affirmative action. Not in the legal sense, of course. But certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about themselves.
Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow. Liberals don't care if these minority students fail; liberals aren't around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self-esteem resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action. Yes, racist. Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of his skin - that's affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that isn't racism, then nothing is.
And that is what America did to Obama. True, Obama himself was never troubled by his lack of achievements, but why would he be? As many have noted, Obama was told he was good enough for Columbia despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he was told he was good enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre record in Illinois ; he was told he was good enough to be president despite no record at all in the Senate. All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the contrary.
What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks? In 2008, many who agreed that he lacked executive qualifications nonetheless raved about Obama's oratory skills, intellect, and cool character. Those people - conservatives included - ought now to be deeply embarrassed.
The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of clichés, and that's when he has his Teleprompters in front of him; when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all. Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth - it's all warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again for 100 years.
And what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming anything and everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck; I inherited this mess. Remember, he wanted the job, campaigned for the task. It is embarrassing to see a president so willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his own incompetence. But really, what were we to expect? The man has never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act responsibly?
In short: our president is a small-minded man, with neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job. When you understand that, and only when you understand that, will the current erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense. It could not have gone otherwise with such a man in the Oval Office.
Republicans are getting more repulsive by the hour.......after being kicked in the balls on 6-Nov...this lastest bunch will go down in history as the party of Extreme Hate Mongers.
Why does Romney / Ryan hate to help people but welcome Rapists?
Why do they want to go to war so much to kill
But,
Say do not get an abortion we believe in life
what life is different?
By donating 100% of his millions in inheritance to charity and around 30% of his annual income to charity Romney has done more in one year to help people than Obama has in a lifetime, unless you count taking other people's hard earned cash and buying votes with it with give aways. I don't think hate is even in Romney's vocabulary, but it is daily part of Obama's hate mongering life.
