We saw 0bama stutter and stammer his way through the debate. He will say nothing of substance but he will without a doubt try his damndest to tell the people what they should be conserned about.

,

Women, you are only to care about free birth controll and government TV subsidys.

,

Men, you are only to care about how much money Romney has made, you are to hate him for being successful.

,

Minorities, look at me, I'm not white!

,

Young voters, did you see me on Conan last night? In case you missed it I'll be on SNL in a few days then the "Pimp With a Limp" radio show.

,

Somebody tell 0bama that this isn't American Idol.

For the longest time I was thinking of voting for third party, but I decided that there was enough of a reason to pick from the main two. Obama's record has not been too good. He was not a real enough liberal. Fiscal-wise, he is too much like Ronald Reagan. Like any Republican, he bragged about lowering the corporate tax rate. He also is enthusiastic as any Republican about natural gas drilling (fracking) which is bad for the environment. I felt like I was watching two Republicans go at it. If I am to pick from two Republicans, I think Romney is better. Romney is definitely better for foreign policy.

I think that President Obama did GREAT during this debate. Poor weasel Romney came off as a desperate mouthpiece, spouting any lie that might convince middle class Americans to vote for him. Sorry, Mitt, all you care about are wealthy folks and big fat businesses.

So congrats President Obama on maintaining the dignity of this debate. Obama 2012

Thought President Obama did a great job - standing up for his ideals and the truth - not the Romney 'truth'.

Romney wants to blame the preisdent for not doing everything he promised in the first 2 years when there was a majority of Democrats in the house and congress. He (conveniently) forgets the tea-party extremists and how they acted like they would bomb the white house if the tried to do too much too fast. And also, of course, how he would now be entirely to blame for anything that did not work perfectly. Government is supposed to be a combination of talented minds coming up with the best options to choose from. When one side decides to obstruct no matter the cost to the country it is not possible to get everything (anything) done.

I have no idea how anyone watching this debate saw a positive in Obama's performance tonight. I fell in the catagory of undecided until this debate. Let me clarify...I was undecided as to whether I was going to BOTHER to vote or not. I am no longer undecided. I will vote and my vote will go to Romney. Having been an independant for all my years, I feel Obama let us down and let us down big time. I had high hopes for his presidency even though I did not vote for him. Romney did alright, but Obama reminded the women of this country who actually cares about their issues. We don't need the Republican bullies telling us what we can and can't do with our own bodies. Maybe if men went through childbearing they might have more insight into this issue. It is like the doctor who tells a woman she can deliver a baby without any pain (when not using medication). He would never know what it was like. And the Republicans seem to think a woman should get less pay for the same work. All the women I know work as hard if not harder than their male counterparts (and go home and fix dinner when the day is done). Obama has a kind of respect for women that Romney would never understand. Romney's ego is too inflated. What is it they say about men with overinflated egos?....maybe they are deficient elsewhere?

President Obama was in perfect form. He was aggressive without bullying, he spoke up every time Romney made misleading or untruthful statements, he was clear about what he has done as President and about the progress his Administration has made, he was focused and passionate about the issues, he was alert to the discrepencies in Romney's claims, his body language conveyed self confidence and assertiveness, and as always, he was poised and a gentleman.

Mitt Romney referred to a "binder full of women" and started to claim single Mom's weren't as good as two parents when responding to a question on guns. Romney also got caught lying about his stance on employer provided insurance covering contraception.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/aug/08/barack-obama/obama-slams-romney-on-contraception-and-planned-pa/

CNCnews.com, a conservative news service, seeking clarity, wrote about putting the question directly to the Romney campaign.

"Will Mitt Romney, on day one, rescind this mandate in its entirety — as the Catholic Church has urged the current administration to do — so that individuals, employers and insurers who have a ‘moral or religious objection to contraception or sterilization’ will not be forced to violate the tenets of their own faith or act against their consciences?"

The President's second term will be even stronger and he will get even more accomplished.

I find it quite telling that in spite of the fact that the President bombed the first debate, his supporters had his back even more than ever before -- talk about loyalty! And now that he has won the second debate, it's on to the third-- Foreign Policy! Wow, he's already won that one!

Romney won and demonstrated yet again why he is more qualified to be President. Obama, however, did do better than he did in the last debate.

Obama keeps lying about Libya. Pretty sad. And the commentator even agreed with him! That is not her place! She later said she was wrong, but tens of millions will not hear that. They heard it in the debate. She did a half-way decent job, but plainly showed she was pro Obama, giving him three more minutes to talk. We need and unbiased moderator in these debates. It isn't going to happen with the mainstream media.

The handling of the Libyan issue alone is reason to not vote for Obama, let alone the dozens of other great reasons not to vote for him.

I almost was going to Boycott the polls and not vote. It was not out of apathy but full knowledge boycott but things developed that made the two candidates different enough to choose between the two. After finding about all the Intelligence Community leaks that Obama did I decided to vote for Romney just to try to save our Intelligence Community. I watched the movie 2012, which now you can get on DVD, which exposed the Obama view of America. Obama sees ALL Americans as imperialists to be destroyed. Obama even sees the American poor as imperialists. As far as the Obama economic policy he is just as Republican as Reagan. So it is two Republicans trying for the White House. Obama is far too obsessed with Natural Gas Drilling, other wise called Fracking. Fracking is far more deadly than DDT which America outlawed from our entire soil but we want to Frack which will cause destruction such that we will No Longer Be a Food producing nation. But if your President is hell bent on getting Revenge against the American people for our "imperialism" than our President might do things in a reckless manner to get that revenge. I would rather the flawed but American Romney who is not out for revenge than a man so consumed by his hate he is willing to "dig two graves".

Presto-chango, after two weeks of Obama denying that the attack on our Embassy was an act of terror he now says that he called it terror all the time. Wow! instant memory change. A swish of the hand and, Poof, the mind trick is done to all news personnel and those who support Obama. "Boy can anybody name that tune".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STiej_174vQ&feature=relmfu

The above link shows the Obama effect on people. Even though this is a scene from a movie but it depicts the way Obama gets to change how people see things with the wave of a hand.

There is one main factor in deciding my vote. The Romney tax plan. Sorry tax cuts do not create jobs, they free up money that MAY, I repeat May be used to create jobs. There is no law saying that even one penny of that money has to be used by corporations to create jobs. Deductions and credits tie the reductions in taxes to actual job creation, but guess what Romney is going to cut out in order to pay for the 20% tax revenue giveaway? I agree you cannot tax the country into prosperity, but isnt it about time to admit that "Trickle Down" has been hijacked by greed. Its time to try something new.

Romney definitely more in command of the issues and, more importantly, has a much more successful record than President Obama.

(... not that it influenced my vote but Crowley was a disgrace! ... so obviously tilted in injecting her political nuance (not her job as moderator), allowing the President more time, interrupting Romney more, and she should never had been in charge - due to her obvious liberal leanings - in selecting the questions, where some where so obvious RHETORICAL questions against Romney. After the debate she very much had to admit that Romney was right after all with regard to Benghazi, where she made herself part of the debate by siding with the President by saying the record supported the President when after all it did not!)

I have been most open-minded in hearing out the President - but the record is clear, and I live in Massachusetts, and overall Romney's record of success is clear, and so is his demonstrated record of command of the issues - but unfortunately not the president. ... and my name is indeed Jose.

That's correct edandbunny. And whats more, there's many US corporations who have made record profits, other than in Oil, who have sat for a long time on the cash instead of investing in new jobs.

Instead of fixing this the Democrats focused on healthcare. Yes it is needed but we needed jobs to be the priority.

What a choice, questionable priorities vs. cant admit our policy hasnt worked so we are gonna keep doing the same. Both parties are out of touch with reality.

OBAMA 100% here. He had to endure the mess Bush left but at least he followed through with a lot of things and I think the next four years will put this country back together. Remember Americans wanted justice after 9/11 and Obama took out Bin Laden. What more do you all want? More tyranny and war with Iran if Romney is elected? Obama is the clear choice in this election.

Obama's record of failure stinks, and recently, what stinks the most is how he and his sad case of an administration handled the Libyan bombing of our embassy and the killing of an ambassador and three other Americans. Shame on him! He lied about it again tonight in front of 70 million Americans!! Incredible!

Mitts big ploy appears to be centered around somehow
convincing voters that Obama should have done better on the economy. The reality is that if the 2008 Presidential election was on a different timetable and had been scheduled for a latter year,
Republican leadership would have continued their philosophical policy of
letting market forces decide our economic fate, until the US economy had
completely slid into a second Great Depression.
We are very fortunate that it was an election year in 2008, and we were
able to vote for better leadership and began reviving our economy before it
declined into a condition of complete economic collapse.

As to who will win, I cannot be sure. Obama should lose big time because his record is so lousy, even if he was an even match with Romney this time. He should lose many Democratic votes because his fiscal policy is more Ronald Reagan than FDR. He stood up there bragging about natural gas drilling (fracking) which is deadly to the environment. But then, there is no accounting for voters and their fluid whims.

Several things could happen. He could lose, and Romney gets it. Romney is a great president and is not some nit wit teapartier but a sensible type like Republicans were pre-Reagan. Romney gets rid of Obamacare but replaces it with a plan that actually will work. Romney stops those foreigners from pushing us around. Romney gets things going again.

He could lose and Romney gets it, but Romney is too right wing. He favors the rich. The economy goes into imbalance and crashes as a result. He ends up being wishy washy on foreign policy like Bush. He is a disappointment. That is a chance I take.

Obama wins and he is better than I thought and actually acts like a real Democrat in his second term more than his first term, which would be a big change (I see no hints of this so far). He does more for the poor (which he has never done yet), the sick and the old. His health plan really works and does not ruin Medicare. Also he is less kiss-a$$ in foreign policy than he has been. He stops the fracking and actually does something about the environment (which he has not done). I get to be wrong, but actually I will be relieved because the last possibility is so dreadful that it caused me to chance the Republican Romney when I haven't voted for a Republican in over 20 years.

Obama does to the Democrats what Reagan did to the Republican Party. They ideologically morph into fiscal conservatives but social liberal extremists. The central issues will be gays and pro-choice, but the poor will be left behind. They will have some sort of cultural revolution where they will go after "rednecks" and anything politically incorrect while living standards fall and we descend into a third world country. Foreign nations will dictate our policy. We will live in some sort of Orwellian surveillance society. Big business and big oil will still be at the top. The Democrats will become aggressive, sort of a reversal of what happened in the 1980's when everybody was some sort of extreme Republican. Worst of all, race will become a touchy issue. Animosities between the races will get sharper as certain people are accused of racism. Being tired of being accused, some people will actually become racists. Great conflict will result. It will divide towns, social groups, even families. I remember when Reagan did. When he got elected, I ended up leaving the church because they got downright nasty; whereas before, they were more gentle and charitable. If Obama has such an effect, it will feed animosity and division. I have seen it before. People "got weird" after Reagan. Obama seems to have a similar effect on some people.

    RepublicansForObama-6186389,

Your name suggests that you're a republican, but all of your comments suggest that you either never were or left that ticket long ago. If you are a former republican, okay. But if you are now a democrat, your screen name changes nothing. No republican is going to say, "wow, even republicans believe Obama capable of fixing the mess he helped create"

Sigh, it's annoying to see people's short-sighted tactics to change others' minds and votes.

Mitt Romney is obviously the candidate with the history to prove he can bring America's economy back.

Barack Obama is obviously the candidate with the history to prove that he will not bring America's economy back. And I am not convinced by minscule improvements near election day, means nothing compared to the big record.

You may be for Obama, but how does it feel when you fill up your gas tank compared to 4 years ago?

While a bit on the partisan side I did find your last paragraph interesting. As for the above line I feel you make a very interesting observation. Both came in during a bad time for our nation, promising a different direction. It is possible they could both cause similar effects. Something worth pondering over.

More Obama/Biden lies exposed. This time by Foreign policy magazine

State Department official: Negotiations to extend U.S. troop presence in Afghanistan starting soon

Posted By Josh Rogin Tuesday, October 16, 2012 - 12:24 PM Share

Despite statements by Vice President Joe Biden, the State Department is about to begin formal negotiations over the extension of U.S. troops past 2014, a top State Department official said Tuesday.

Last week, U.S. and Afghan negotiators met in Kabul to talk about the Bilateral Security Agreement that will govern the extension of U.S. troops past 2014, when President Barack Obama said the combat mission in Afghanistan will end and the U.S. will complete the transition of the entire country to Afghan government control.

Also last week, Biden told Americans during his Oct. 11 debate with Republican vice-presidential nominee Paul Ryan that U.S. troops were leaving Afghanistan by 2014.

"We are leaving in 2014, period, and in the process, we're going to be saving over the next 10 years another $800 billion," Biden said. "We've been in this war for over a decade. The primary objective is almost completed. Now all we're doing is putting the Kabul government in a position to be able to maintain their own security. It's their responsibility, not America's."

Marc Grossman, the State Department's special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, explained today that's not the whole story.

Grossman said Tuesday that the point of the upcoming negotiations is to agree on an extension of the U.S. troop presence well past 2014, for the purposes of conducting counterterrorism operations and training and advising the Afghan security forces.

    Maryanne in Arabi

I have no idea how anyone watching this debate saw a positive in Obama's performance tonight. I fell in the catagory of undecided until this debate. Let me clarify...I was undecided as to whether I was going to BOTHER to vote or not. I am no longer undecided. I will vote and my vote will go to Romney. Having been an independant for all my years, I feel Obama let us down and let us down big time. I had high hopes for his presidency even though I did not vote for him. I fear for our future and Obama is not for my future.

... I fell in the catagory of undecided until this debate.

...Having been an independant for all my years

...I had high hopes for his presidency even though I did not vote for him.

I am no longer undecided. I will vote and my vote will go to Romney.

I love it when Republicans claim to be "Independent" only to come to the "Sudden Realization" that they're going to (surprise) vote Republican!

    Let's look at Mary's statements:

"I was undecided until this debate" - Really? Only 3 weeks away from the election and you still hadn't made up your mind? That is a lie. You added some clarification by saying, "I was undecided whether I was even going to bother to vote in this election". To vote or not to vote is not the definition of an "Undecided". An undecided voter is someone who doesn't vote along party lines, and allows their individual preferences guide their decision. Face it, you were a Republican who wasn't all that enthused with Romney and you weren't planning on voting.

"Having been an independent for all my years" - doubtful based on your previous statement and on the following statement:

"I am no longer undecided. I will vote and my vote will go to Romney" - So, only 3 weeks left to go, and NOW you've decided to get off your butt and vote? I could understand you making this claim 2 weeks ago when Romney won the last debate. I could understand you making this claim following the bump from the Republican National Convention last month. But now? Why?

...Because Obama actually held his own against Romney in last night's debate. Because the fiction that Romney has been feeding the American public is slowly starting to unwind? Because he kept bucking the rules at last night's debate, and acted like a petulant child at times? Because the Moderator actually nailed him for lying last night? Because, to any rational human being, Romney's self-aggrandizing claims of "I'm a Businessman - I know how to fix things" sounds like so much hot air? Because to the same rational human beings, Romney's plans have no substance, and he really does want to reverse our country and head back to the "business as usual" state we were in that led up to the economic collapse in 2008?

Is this why you've decided that NOW is the time that your independently republican vote be added?

Want to vote Republican, and continue on the path of the Middle Class destruction? Fine. Just don't try to wrap yourself in the veneer of an "Independent" but your mind was changed when the clouds parted and Jesus himself told you that Mitt Romney was chosen by heaven above. That's BS, and I think a lot of people can tell that.

Single dad here, small business owner, not able to hire anyone because of Obamacare requires me to pay for employees healthcare if they work more than 30 hours a week. If I don't, I have to pay a $3000 dollar fine, for each employee.

I want to expand my business and create jobs, I'm voting for Romney to get these business growing restrictions out of the way.

Everything Obama has done has pushed down the small business owner.

I think Obama is for the corporations and big business, he is getting rid of their small business competitors.

When romney gave his reason for going to France instead of Nam, I was quite amused. Something to the effect that his daddy told him he was, "bound for greater things serving his country."

There is a plaque on a wall at the airport I use frequently, that nas 97 names on it. They are the names of the 97 highschool graduates that were killed in Viet Nam. The names are familiar, and I know for a fact, their daddys were proud that their sons served their country. In my heart I am proud to have served with them.

We had a Morman, conscientious objector who slogged the paddies with us, carrying only his medical kit and bible. He had the respect of every grunt in the company. If that man was willard, i would vote for him. willard couldn't shine his boots.

For those that are talking about Candy "catching" Mitt lying about Libya...you did read where she came out afterwards and admitted that he was in fact correct, right?

Full transcript of Crowley's remarks is below:

CANDY CROWLEY: Well, you know, I heard the president speak at the time. I, sort of, reread a lot of stuff about Libya because I knew we’d probably get a Libya question so I kind of wanted to be up on it. So I knew that the president had, had, said, you know, these acts of terror won’t stand or, whatever the whole quote was.

And I think actually, you know because, right after that I did turn around and say, but you’re totally correct that they spent two weeks telling us this was about a tape and that that there was a, you know, this riot outside the Benghazi consulate which there wasn’t.

So he was right in the main, I just think he picked the wrong word. And I, you know, they’re going to parse and we all know about what the definition of is is, but, I, uh, you know, in the end, I think John [King]’s probably right. I think this has a lot more to with jobs and the debt crisis and all of that kind of stuff.

I just think that probably it was one of those moments and I could even feel that here, you know, when you say something you’re not expecting. It’s just that was the natural thing coming out of me going, ‘Actually he did, you know, call it an act of terror.’ Uh, when, you know, half the crowd clapped for that and the other half clapped for ‘But they kept telling us this was a tape, this was caused by a tape’ so, you know, in the main, the thrust of what Governor Romney was saying, which is why I went back and said that, um, but I just think he picked the wrong kind of way to go about talking about it if that makes sense.

        #1.95 - Wed Oct 17, 2012 12:03 PM EDT

I consider myself an independent voter, but going back to the Reagan days and with the only exception having been Perot, I’ve always voted Republican. But 2-months ago, I wouldn't have even considered voting for Romney. But after the last two debates and especially after he finally talked about using tariffs to level the playing field and bring jobs back home, I'm considering him more seriously. It was good to see them both finally talk seriously about bringing manufacturing back home to the USA and about protecting American jobs.

Although, I didn't like the comment that we should automatically staple a green card to every foreigner’s college diploma. That sounds too much like, "let's bring in cheaper educated foreigners to do take the place of higher paid US Citizens jobs here" (i.e.: the H1B immigrant issue)

If they (Both Parties) don’t actually start doing something about the real problems in our country like “out-sourcing”, illegal immigration and the out of control costs of health care insurance, by the next election – American citizens may just have to run a nation-wide campaign to vote every single incumbent elected official out of office, so that maybe they’ll finally get the message.

Seems in previous elections that both parties were always able to distract and polarize voters with insignificant peripheral issues, which ended up getting most of the voters so caught up in the BS that they lost sight of the bigger picture.

Now that that abortion and gay marriage are not legitimate distractions, they're going with gas prices and Social Security.

Wouldn't it be More Productive if Our Elected Leaders Started Working Together as AMERICANS for AMERICANS and AMERICA, instead of just bickering, stalling and posturing for the next election as democrats and republicans! The American People have had it with this unproductive BS! The sad thing is that both parties stink! Neither party is really looking out for the best interest of the US citizens who elect them and who they're supposed to represent.

For those who dont understand how anyone could be undecided at this point, I think I understand why. While I havnt been undecided since the Republican primaries When any hope for sanity was firmly smashed. I had hoped the GOP could field a candidate I could support.

You see I was raised Republican. I still think Reagan is the greatest president of my lifetime. There are still Liberal ideals that I still feel are destructive. Twenty years ago If someone would have told me I would vote a strait Democrat ticket I would have laughed in their face. Yet guess what I will be doing on election day. Even knowing that the party I loved has destroyed itself from the inside I still have a hard time voting against them in favor of the Democratic Liberals.

My guess is that others feel the same way I do but have yet to come to terms with their own feelings.

I know exactly how you feel. I was the same way. A staunch supporter of Reagan. Hell, I even read "Atlas Shrugged" half a dozen times to reinforce my very conservative leanings. My original conception of Democrats was the welfare mother clutching her welfare checks and food stamps as she produced yet another child to increase her incoming benefits. Man... I just hated Democrats.

I was still a little too young to vote for Reagan in 1980, but I sure voted for him in 1984. I then voted for George H. W. Bush in 1988, and again in 1992. When Clinton won the election in 1992, I was so pissed off (probably because a democratic co-worker at the time was seriously rubbing it in)...

        ...but then something happened...

I blame it on the Republican Party. When the party remained mostly centrist in their leanings, it's a great party. Reagan? That guy was willing to work with anyone. He started his Presidency proclaiming the Soviet Union as "The Evil Empire", but by the time he left office he and Mikhail Gorbachev were the best of friends, and the threat of Nuclear Annihilation was quickly receding. I loved that guy!

But the Party he represented? Not anymore. The Ultra-Right-Wing NeoCons have their grip firmly holding the party in one hand, while the wacky Evangelical Christian dingbats have their grip on the other hand. There's no compromise in this party any more. There's no rational thought in this party anymore. I can't even tell you the number of people I meet in my age range (45-60) who were once Republicans but not anymore. It appears that the more college education a Republican has, the likelihood that they'll leave the party increases. It's that simple. The Republican party no longer wants people who think, they just want people who agree with them and vote for them.

I think the only people left in the Republican Party anymore are the leaders of Major Corporations, the nation's wealthy elitists 1%'ers, and (unfortunately) the southern redneck hill-billy Republicans, and the midwestern, cornfed jug-headed inhabitants. I use the term unfortunately for the southerners and the midwesterners simply because their votes keep these people in power who are working very hard to enslave the very people who are voting for them.

It's kind of like they are going to their own execution, but its a "Bring your own Axe" event AND they actually did bring their own axe!

        Sad really.

I would never vote for Obama as he is a traitor to the American people. He will say anything to get a vote. He took an oath to follow the laws of the USA and can not follow them, he just over rides them to suit himself. He has put the country in debt that we may never get out of. He has told other countries that he is sorry for American beliefs. What kind of American is that? He is a socialist. do not destroy America, no more Obama. Vote for an American not a socialist.

He has told other countries that he is sorry for American beliefs. What kind of American is that? He is a socialist. do not destroy America, no more Obama. Vote for an American not a socialist.

In other words because he's black. This can be the only conclusion since not one single thing you stated is true.... ironically, just like Mitt Romney tonight.

Why does it always come down to race with you people? It's insulting that you think educated voters can't just disagree with a politician's policies without being called a racist! DesertGranny was right about Obama breaking laws, putting the country in debt, apologizing for America, and having a socialist agenda. The only thing you can take umbrage to is her closing with 'vote for an American'. Disprove any of the above, and then we'll work on what you think Romney lied about.

I just checked CNN, they had a fact checker say Obama was correct, he called it an act of terror and they had the video to prove it. Candy was wrong only in insomuch as she shouldn't have called Romney out on it, that was Obama and the fact checkers job, which they both did. My guess would be she doesn't care for liars.

And how about the GOP cutting Obama's funding requests for diplomatic security. For 2013 they proposed cutting it 216 million, they tried to cut it by 331 million in 2012, but democrats got 88 million back in negotiations, and again, republicans cut it in 2011 by 128 million. Paul Ryans budget calls for it to be slashed again in 2014 by 20%.

Switching my vote ... without question ... I am voting Romney!

Romney definitely more in command of the issues and, more importantly, has a more successful record than Obama.

(... not that it influenced my vote but Crowley was a disgrace! ... so obviously tilted in injecting her political nuance (not her job as moderator), allowing the President more time, interrupting more Romney and she should never had been in charge - due to her obvious liberal leanings - in selecting the questions, where some where so obvious rhetorical questions against Romney. After the debate she very much had to admit that Romney was right after all regarding Benghazi, where she made herself part of the debate on the side with the President by saying the record supported the President when after all it did not!)

I'm rather curious, precisely what has President Obama done that is treasonous? Has he sworn an allegiance to another nation? Has he declared war against the US? What laws has he not followed? Regarding the debt, only the congress has the power to spend. Would you have preferred President Obama to veto the various spending bills that crossed his desk? And when, precisely, has President Obama told other countries (although I think you really mean people who live in other countries) that "he is sorry for American beliefs?"

It probably isn't much of a leap to surmise that you supported former President Bush and, therefore, the stimulus bill he signed, the spending bills that created $5 trillion in debt, two unfunded wars, the prescription drug benefit, etc.

As President Obama said, Romney is a nice guy. Romney's entire career is based on selling and making certain he comes out a winner no matter what the cost to others, no matter what he has to say or do to win.

Romney sold a bill of goods to the MA voters - they fell for his manipulated rhetoric and outright lies. Tho he didn't increase taxes, he used "fees" up the gazooks. He also tried to pull a fast one on Women, with the morning after pill, tsk, tsk, and was caught.

MA voters are pulling for Prez Obama by a very wide margin; evidence of Romney's governorship. They don't want him in MA; we don't want him in our White House.

OBAMA-BIDEN 2012 and a Strong Democratic Congress to continue the move FORWARD.

hey, hey, this second FACEOFF clearly still puts Romney in the lead. the moderator for the debate was one of Obama's galpals so we should have seen how the debate would proceed. leading up to the televised event, commentators and other moderators said Obama would come out fighting and attacking Romney any way he could. the result was Obama looked foolish (like he always has) in front of the American people. get wise folks, these past four years Obama has done his best to hurt this country and the American people with revised health care, retirement, military, morals and specifically abortion, our senior citizens, employment and don't forget religion. how much more can we take from this anti-christ? how much more should we take from this betrayer? his track record speaks for itself, he is not for America, never was never will be! and POTUS, not even a cookout in your back yard will make me change my mind about you, and no, not even a beer will. i don't know what really got you elected to be the top man, leader of this country, but we cannot let this happen again. if you need cardboard boxes to help you pack, these i can give at no charge. you need to step down and let us air out the white house with a new President who is for the people.

I would never vote for Obama as he is a traitor to the American people. He will say anything to get a vote. He took an oath to follow the laws of the USA and can not follow them, he just over rides them to suit himself. He has put the country in debt that we may never get out of.

        One at a time:

Traitor to the American people? That would be George W. Bush! Getting us into a war based on false premises. Just where are those pesky WMDs?

He will say anything to get a vote? That would Mitt Romney, who never made a comment he couldn't deny and contradict.

He took an oath to follow the laws of the USA and can not follow them, he just over rides them to suit himself? Again, that would be George W. Bush. On more than 750 occasions, far more than all previous presidents combined, President Bush attached a "signing statement" to legislation he signed, declaring that he is not bound by provisions he regards as unconstitutional.

He has put the country in debt that we may never get out of? Once again that would be George W. Bush, aided and abetted by Republican majorities in both houses of Congress for 6 out of 8 years. Despite their new-found fiscal responsibility, Republicans started in 2000 with a $5.7T debt and ran it up to $11.9T in 8 years. That's right, they started with a debt that took 200 years to accumulate and doubled it in only 8 years! Mitt Romney wants to continue that fine tradition.

If all that you said truly bothers you, you should be voting Democratic this fall!

Funny how all you kool aid drinking libs only quote liberal polls and liberal t.v. stations for your facts. Well here's a fact for you! You are idiots if you think for one minute that you are going to see it any better from Obama than what he has already given you. You will see higher food prices, you will see higher wholesale prices and you will see higher retail prices. So i ask all you kool aid drinking libs to tell me when i get to see that tax break he said i got and when he is really going to care about the working class. Because i have not seen one bit of this relief he keeps saying he has given the American people, but i sure see him giving Soldier killing PAKISTAN the aid they want and giving American killing Libya the aid they want, so where the hell is the aid for the Americans who are still without jobs and still losing there homes and still paying higher and higher and higher prices, even after Obama said we wouldn't. If you can answer all that honestly (no hypocrisy allowed) then i will vote for the America killing Obama that you all love.

The President gave it to Romney good right at the end when he brought up about what he said behind close doors at the dinner about the 47% of the people that he does not care about. Yahoooooooooooooooo President Obama good going. I want to know how do they expect President Obama to fix the United States and its economy in 4yrs when it took baby Bush 8yrs to get us into all of this mess and yes it was baby Bush who did it to us because when Bush took office we were working in the black from President Clinton.

Precisely where on the CNN site does Ms. Crowley say this? I just checked and I see no mention of this. CNN, however, does conclude that former Governor Romney was misleading/inaccurate/deceptive about his claim.

                  From CNN:

The conclusion: Romney's comment was false. Obama did describe the killings in Benghazi as an act of terror twice within two days, though -- in an interview two weeks after the attack -- he appeared to reserve judgment. Two days later, his spokesman clarified his position.

You can't say Obama has tripled or radicalize race relation. please explain your criteria.

What President Obama has done - is ignore racist attacks. The more Neo-Conservatives, Neo-Nazi... push The President to define his campaign and his Presidency - in the light of race, the more he ignores the stupidity. He does not deend his race - because it is not relevant to his position as President of the "United States".

As Mr. Obama, a father and husband, there is no doubt that there are moments when he would enjoy popping a few of you idiots upside the head with Loiusville slugger... but as president that is not an avenue he is allowed to take.

So keep taking you cheap shots .. What you need to understand, is the President is too busy Fixing this country for the Future (yes - even your future). He is Man enough to ignore your crap - when there is a Bigger job to get done. When he finishes setting the direction of the recovery, mapping path we need to tack to get out muck and mire the previous administration allowed us to fall into. He can walk away knowhe did his job the best he could.

You - on the other hand, - can satisfy yourself by telling your grand kids and great grand Kids - the PawPaw called the President the United States a N&%%#r ... they will be so proud.

It makes me laugh when I hear that Obama cares about women. 780,000 more women are unemployed today then when Obama took office. If you count putting them on welfare and food stamps instead stimulating jobs then I guess he cares. One of 6 Americans are now living in poverty (46.2% of Americans) Women have been hit the hardest so SAYING he cares means nothing.

If you would rather have you and your children live in poverty for free birth control, a promise of equal pay, and whatever else he is dishing out then vote for Obama!

And that's only the money we know about - It is possible that much more will be found and attributed to the previous administration as the audit, started days after President Obama came into office - this audit, freely admitted by the Pentagon is the first request for a true comprehensive audit since the days of Regan.

When he came into office - already alarmed by the lack of accountability during the transition, President Obama charged all departments to submit a true accounting. Much of the debt - attributed to the Obama administration is the result of expenditures which were not accounted for during the administration which spent the money.

Its like buying a house. You get a loan, purchase the house - only to find out there are unlisted, unpublished Liens on the property. Obama asked for a title search and found out the true cost of the house. hose bills were never disclosed in the mortgage. Since we can't default on America, we now are getting an idea of how much is owed on "the full faith and credit, which is America".

Bottom line: some of the debt was exposed under the Obama administration ... but it predates his "watch". this is the first many of us are hearing about that hidden debt... but it definitely was not incurred in the one (1) or two months, after Obama took office, when it was first reported to the public scrutiny

Candy Crowley has already come out and said that Romney was RIGHT about Libya and Obama's reaction the next day in the Rose Garden. But for you sheeple who only watch and listen to MSDNC, you have to go to the CNN site to find that information. OMG=Obama Must Go!

Really, I believe she said that Obama was right. I believe that you should first read the transcript from last night's debate and then the transcript and watch the video or the Rose Garden speech. I took the opportunity of attaching the links, in the respective order, for your convenience.

Oh please, is Obama all the democrats can offer? Democrats are afraid to run against Obama and the party is also afraid to put anyone up against him. You got no choice, Obama or the highway in democrat land.

Not true, there are still some undecideds out there. There could even be those who were leaning toward Obama who find Mitt has overcome his creep factor during these debates. He is becoming more personable with each outing.

The only thing Mitt is personable with is his money he hides off shore. That is not an american. He is smug, arrogant, and has no respect for anything or anyone.

Romney reminds me of the bully who can't take a punch. Obama gave him a stiff right jab with the "That is offensive," reply to Romney, who never recovered and wobbled for the rest of the debate.

Oh and Sandy, you might want to watch the debate or read the transcript. Crowley call Romney out on the Libya gaff, not vice-verse.

Obama's record of failure stinks, and recently, what stinks the most is how he and his sad case of an administration handled the Libyan bombing of our embassy and the killing of an ambassador and three other Americans. Shame on him! He lied about it again tonight in front of 70 million Americans!! Incredible!

So you are holding the President responsible, Personally Responsible for the Libya bombing? Do you hold the previous administration Personally responsible for what happened on their watch?

Think carefully of what you are saying, there are some historical issues you are bringing up - issues which this whole country morned over and gave that President a free pass.

Charley, et al. You all have to learn to trust this President to do the right thing. After that Dec 2010, where Democratics were screaming about the Prez caving in to the repub/tparty - where they were holding hostage unemployment relief, WE came out the winners, tho it took a few days to figure that one.

There were a few more incidences, the most recent with Natanyahu's deceitful ploy in the UN, and his asking for time with the President -- all staged to force the President's hand on Israel. (Adelson? Adelman? was the big money bags behind Netanyahu's campaign for prime minister, just as he is now contributing over 100 million to Romney - get the connection?) Prez Obama won that round too. Makes for good reading, a thriller, and also shows what he's up against. I wonder if that'll come up next debate. An embarrassment for Netan, Adel?, Israel, Romney and the repub/tparty and their money bags.

Our Prez is wise, patient and moral. He is also no one's fool. Your statement, "I am starting to think the first debate was a rope a dope ruse" appears to be in line with the Prez, another high political risk - he trusted us to know better, and we do.

OBAMA-BIDEN 2012 and a Strong Democratic Congress to continue the FORWARD movement.

According to FACTCHECKER www.politifact.com, Obama remains FOUR (4!) times as truthful as Romney.

                              - Obama has a truth-score of 408/435 = 94 % and
                              - Romney has a truth-score of 50/186 = 27 %
Which means that Obama is about FOUR times as truthful as Romney. Politifact puts statements in six categories: on

                              True 6,30% more Obama
                              Mostly True 9,88% more Obama
                              Half True -1,22% more Romney
                              Mostly False 5,60% more Obama

Pants on Fire 6,88% more Obama

If we weigh all statements with True +3 points, Mostly True +2 points, Half True + 1 point, Mostly False -1 point, False -2 points, Pants on Fire -3, the WEIGHTED scoring of their statements shows that:

                              Out of 435 Obama statements
97 were True for 291 points

Obama had 6.30% more True statements

Obama had 9,88% more Mostly True statements

Romney had -1,22%more Half True statements

Romney had 5,60% more Mostly False statements

Romney had 2,49% more False statements

Romney had 6,88% more Pants on Fire statements

So, Obama is more truthful, AND Romney LIES MORE

Obama did not call it a terrorist attack when it happened, It took day's for him to say it. He did not say it until he was called out. Get your facts somewhere else so you can get them straight.

So hours after, we determined the facts, you are claiming that the President had gathered together the elements of News conference to go over 9/11 - and only mentioedn the 4 who died (the number of dipomats in the Libya attack); not the 3,000 plus who died during the 9/11 attack?

what anniversary of the Twin Towers trechery was being memorilized which took precedent over the newest attack?

President Obama is no cowboy, since he has been in charge - we get a notice about the incedent. then later, after the real culprits are identified - the evidence is presented, naming the villians. Shotting from the lip is not good trait when tensions are high, especially in the small portion of the world.

Obama, unlike Mitt - does not run to the Limelight to get the first word out. Mitt Rmney was roundly chastized when he rush to get his face on TV, thinking that President Oboma Had called a Press conference about the Libya attack - only thing is, Obama had already noted the attack and stated our forces were looking into it and would offer further reports as news evolved.

Mitt Romney had to have his facts corrected by the moderator during the second US presidential election debate.Read more

The Republican candidate accused President Barack Obama of taking two weeks to call the attacks on the US embassy in Libya, in which four Americans died, an act of terror.

Mr Romney said the President had put fundraising first, claiming he had flown to Las Vegas and Colorado for political events. He said: "I think these actions taken by a President and a leader have symbolic significance and, perhaps, even material significance."

Even republican leaders called Mitt out on the big mistake he made. We do not need any more "Cowboys in the White House". GW never went to dover to great the coffins come home.

Your logic is flawed and the timetable is out of sequence. Mitt screwed the pooch - and no amount of filibuster can relive him of his misguided butting into Presidential and diplomatic issues.

                                No More Cowboys for President.

Mitt was fact checked hard by the moderator, boom, the 47% at the end boom, women's rights boom, tax policy boom. Romney pleas that he "was someone who ran businesses" for twenty five years...and I am reminded of Scrooge praising Jacob Marley - "You were always a good man of business Jacob!"

The trouble is, Mitt is a terrible politician. Really, really bad. Two faces, no real spine.

Soooooo tired of people NOT seeing the lies that President Obama spoke. He certainly DID NOT call the attacks on the Embassy acts of terror. I took him at his suggestion, and I read the transcripts. Candy Crawley made it clear almost from the beginning who she will be voting for, and I think that it speaks exactly to just how much people want to take the lazy way out of being responsible voters by taking TV personalities and news journalists and politicians words of the moment as verifiable truths instead of FACT -CHECKING ON THEIR OWN!!!! Fact check President Obama's claims on natural energy. Fact check President Obama's statistics on employment. Fact Check President Obama's record on the Fast and the Furious. And by all means, Fact Check everything Governor Romney says. And then make an educated decision. But for gosh sakes, please make it your own opinion and not just what you see on TV. President Obama spent the entire debate attacking Governor Romney's plans, and not defending his own. If his tactics are so great that he deserves four more years, then maybe he needs to spend some more time defending those tactics and less time with the negativity.

Remarks by the President on the Deaths of U.S. Embassy Staff in Libya

                                  10:43 A.M. EDT

THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. Every day, all across the world, American diplomats and civilians work tirelessly to advance the interests and values of our nation. Often, they are away from their families. Sometimes, they brave great danger.

Yesterday, four of these extraordinary Americans were killed in an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi. Among those killed was our Ambassador, Chris Stevens, as well as Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith. We are still notifying the families of the others who were killed. And today, the American people stand united in holding the families of the four Americans in our thoughts and in our prayers.

The United States condemns in the strongest terms this outrageous and shocking attack. We're working with the government of Libya to secure our diplomats. I've also directed my administration to increase our security at diplomatic posts around the world. And make no mistake, we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people.

Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faiths. We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. But there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence. None. The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these brutal acts.

Already, many Libyans have joined us in doing so, and this attack will not break the bonds between the United States and Libya. Libyan security personnel fought back against the attackers alongside Americans. Libyans helped some of our diplomats find safety, and they carried Ambassador Stevens’s body to the hospital, where we tragically learned that he had died.

It's especially tragic that Chris Stevens died in Benghazi because it is a city that he helped to save. At the height of the Libyan revolution, Chris led our diplomatic post in Benghazi. With characteristic skill, courage, and resolve, he built partnerships with Libyan revolutionaries, and helped them as they planned to build a new Libya. When the Qaddafi regime came to an end, Chris was there to serve as our ambassador to the new Libya, and he worked tirelessly to support this young democracy, and I think both Secretary Clinton and I relied deeply on his knowledge of the situation on the ground there. He was a role model to all who worked with him and to the young diplomats who aspire to walk in his footsteps.

Along with his colleagues, Chris died in a country that is still striving to emerge from the recent experience of war. Today, the loss of these four Americans is fresh, but our memories of them linger on. I have no doubt that their legacy will live on through the work that they did far from our shores and in the hearts of those who love them back home.

Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks. We mourned with the families who were lost on that day. I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our wounded warriors at Walter Reed. And then last night, we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.

As Americans, let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up for it, and in some cases, lay down their lives for it. Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian and military who represent us around the globe.

No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done.

But we also know that the lives these Americans led stand in stark contrast to those of their attackers. These four Americans stood up for freedom and human dignity. They should give every American great pride in the country that they served, and the hope that our flag represents to people around the globe who also yearn to live in freedom and with dignity.

We grieve with their families, but let us carry on their memory, and let us continue their work of seeking a stronger America and a better world for all of our children.

Thank you. May God bless the memory of those we lost and may God bless the United States of America.

                                  END

So just to make sure everyone see what poor old gordonw12 is selling I had to show it again may just maybe you could find more bs to sell. I do hope this helps you out because if this is all you got I can understand posting over and over. Along with you and the other snake oil medicine sellers. You are just wasting your time and energy by keeping up the lies. He was caught so suck it up. Oh the 6trillion dept is because your party placed everything on the credit card and President Obama, was stuck with the bill. I would not make a diff, who was in office they would have to deal with the bottom dropping out. One reason for the price of gas was down to $1.61 nat. was because of the bottom dropping out, no one could buy gas and the price came down. Now that the economic is up so are the prices DAUH! Oh and to answer your question would be "absolutely", main reason is I trust the President. Rommey stands on the fence and what ever way he is facing is what he will tell you. Remember here is a man that follow the doctorate of Joesph Smith. Who was able to read Egyptian Hieroglyphic, and interrupted a small page of text into this long book of Abraham. Only problem is he didn't have a clue. You follow a lie it is easy to continue the lie. You figure it out.

Treason from some Republican on the day of President Obama being sworn into office. and Ryan was one of them. And now to a intelligent person earlier post: gordo please read Mary in Ohio. and learn.

Thought President Obama did a great job - standing up for his ideals and the truth - not the Romney 'truth'.

Romney wants to blame the president for not doing everything he promised in the first 2 years when there was a majority of Democrats in the house and congress.

I believe my eye and ears, if you have not seen the speech then youtube it. Why do you think we have our head in the sand? This just adds to everyone's opinion about you tea party folks. Lie, lie some more and keep up the lie until everyone believe:

Candy Crowley has already come out and said that Romney was RIGHT about Libya and Obama's reaction the next day in the Rose Garden. But for you sheeple who only watch and listen to MSDNC, you have to go to the CNN site to find that information. OMG=Obama Must Go!

Oh once again eye, ears, listen, and comprehension these are skill you all have lost. OMG you must go! And a transcript also damn some dumb, dumb folk here or should they hear? I guess some need it tattooed on there heads. If the fact are a problem for some of you just leave. We understand how to get our own facts, you know F A C T S.

First of all, I am an Independent; so I get the right to call bullshyt on both sides! Secondly, if you read the transcript, and COMPREHEND it, when he mentioned 'acts of terror' it was immediately following him talking about 'yesterday was already a day of mourning'. He was talking about 9/11/01. When talking about 9/11/12, he said 'Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faiths. We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. But there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence. None. The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these brutal acts.' Susan Rice then went on 5 shows and blamed the video; Obama went on the view and blamed the video; Obama addressed the UN and blamed the video. Please stop insulting the teachers who tried so hard to instill comprehension in you.

Look where we are today (and the direction we're heading) compared to the day Obama took office. This country came very, very close to a full-fledged depression. We've experienced the severest recession in the nation's history. Go ahead and wave a magic wand and make that all disappear in 4 years when the republicans in congress have but one goal: defeat Obama and regain power. They've put partisan politics ahead of the national interest. Tip O'Neil and Ronald Reagan could work together; today's republicans are so far to the right that they can no longer even see the national interest.

With all his flip-flopping like a fish out of water, it is hard to tell just what he DOES stand for. We can understand you being confused. And our economy would tank the first day under Romney. Seriously! He would call out China? First day? Not as Obama has done, winning case after case about China's unfair trade practices (way more than the Bush administration which had eight years to do it), but just saying we wouldn't do business with them at all? Really? After all the jobs Romney shipped to China, if nothing else, he should be able to figure out how that would not work!

                                        lauren,

Which debate did you watch? Must have been the first one you recorded.

Quote of the night: "Of course the numbers add up, I was someone who ran businesses for 25 years." So because the arrogant SOB say it adds up we should believe him? Well, I guess that settles it. Except for one little minor problem. Seems quite a few of Romney's businesses failed.

"A report from The Wall Street Journal found that about 22 percent of Bain’s companies either filed for bankruptcy or liquidated within eight years after the private-equity firm acquired them."

Even Romney's numbers of the deficit don't add up. He said twice during the debate that Obama doubled the deficit. A lie! Obama started with a $10 trillion and has been required to spend an additional $6 trillion to help the nation recover by extending unemployment benefits twice, expanding food stamps to the struggling middle class families and poor all because of the Great Recession he inherited from a Republican president. Notice how Romney didn't want to bring up GW Bush's record. Trickle-down economics don't work in the long run - period!!!

Mitt Romney chose the intellectual leader of the Tea Party as his nominee for vice president. By doing so, Romney catered to the far right and doubled down on the failed top-down economic policies that crashed our economy and hurt the middle class.

#1 Ending Medicare as we know it
Romney and Ryan are committed to a plan that would end Medicare as we know it. They would create a voucher system that would increase seniors' health costs. Ryan even proposed a plan, which Romney endorsed, that would increase costs for seniors by $6,350 a year. To cover for their own plan, they have been distorting the President's record. They have labeled the $700 billion that Obamacare saved from trimming excessive payments to corporate insurance companies as "Medicare cuts."

That's false, as Paul Ryan should know -- he includes these savings in his own budget.

#2 How Ryan killed President Obama's deficit reduction plan The President has been fighting to protect and preserve Medicare as part of an overall plan to reduce the deficit, and pay down our debt in a balanced way that lets us continue to invest in what we need to grow our economy. Last year, he proposed a "grand bargain" that not only would have extended the life of Medicare but would have also resulted in trillions in deficit reduction. It asked both sides to make tough choices and compromise, including asking the wealthy to pay their fair share. A new report in the New York Times shows that Paul Ryan fought to kill the bipartisan deficit-reduction agreement because it "would pave the way for Mr. Obama's easy re-election. "

That sort of politics may be standard for some Beltway insiders like Paul Ryan, but it's not what voters want in a vice president.

#3 "Blatantly false" welfare attacks,The Romney campaign released an ad that contains outright lies
about the President's welfare reform efforts. President Obama has given states more flexibility so that
they can increase their work placement rate among welfare recipients by at least 20 percent. Yet, Romney's ad says the President has ended the work requirement -- which the New York Times calls "blatantly false." President Clinton, who reformed welfare, said Romney's claims are "not true." Even Newt Gingrich said there's "no proof" that Romney's ad is accurate. The ad also says that President Obama was against welfare-to-work as an Illinois state senator -- another blatant lie. He worked across the aisle to pass Illinois' welfare-to work law, even winning praise from Republican leaders for being "not your typical party-line politician" and willing to find compromise to get it done.

Mit RobUsBlind and Paul Ryan's extreme plans for America would be a disaster for the middle class -- and the Romney campaign is trying to take the focus off them by lying about the President's record.

I think that too many people have been brainwashed by our liberal media. They just listen to the major networks and assume that they have all the answers. Why could anyone actually believe that 4 more years of OBama would help our country. Wake up people!!! Our country has never been in such a mess. The debt and unempoyment is staggering. What kind of future will our children and grandchildren have if we don't turn things around soon. Do some research for yourselves. Find out about OBamacare also while you are at it. As I read these comments I can see why we are so hosed as a country. A couple weeks ago most of us on the left begrudgingly admitted that Romney clearly came out on top. We didn't like it, but we recognized the facts.

But when you read the right wing comments tonight, it is perfectly clear we are talking about people who just won't hear anything they don't want to. Instead they double down claiming a victory tonight when clearly Obama nailed Romney time and time again. Just like Romney these folks think that if they just keep repeating the same lie it will become fact.

I wouldn't expect any Obama haters to change their minds but just admit it. I can accept it if you say that Romney is an idiot, but you hate Obama, so you're voting for Romney anyway. You don't have to be logical, but at least be honest.

Candy Crowley is notoriously conservative. If you ever watch her "State of the Union" show she, almost always lets the Republican guests spin away, but always jumps on the Democrats.

Based on the talk earlier this week she was not going to sit like a trained monkey at this debate like they wanted her too. She said she was going to make sure they answered the questions and would play a more active role is she felt it was appropriate. Odinarily on her show she sometimes plays dumb with the Republican guests and lets them get away with stuff. Obviously, not tonight. I'll give her credit for at least understanding the issues and making sure neither got away with blowing smoke. She was far more fair than I anticipated.

So I wondered about what Romney said when he stated "Government doesn't create jobs." HUH? So then why are you running for President Mr. Romney and why are you telling everyone you will create jobs. By his own statement he won't be able to do that.

He meant government jobs like military, postal workers, and other government agencies. Romney doesn't want to pay for more jobs through government taxes but instead facilitate small business growth and expand the private sector.

Its scary that people like you who have no idea what they are talking about, yet have strong opinions, will be voting in one month.

So why not support someone who actually supports small businesses here in THIS country, not China?? You don't think Government has the ability to affect that?? And if so, then how does that not help job growth. And if not, then why are you blaming Obama?? You don't get to have it both ways.

The government doesn't create jobs. What the government does is create an environment for Americans to create jobs.

Boy do they have you fooled. Romney isn't going to help your small business. How you have been successful in business is beyond me if you don't understand that customers are what drive your small business. If you keep letting these crooks run the show and create a repeat of 2008 then you won't have a small business to worry about because there won't be any one left in the middle class to be your customer. Get a clue.

Government is not a burden on your business. But don't worry, I am sure Bain and company will come help you out when you need it...LOL.

Yea Romeny is for creating more jobs - so he can have more people to fire while he gets paid handsomely for it. You gotta love his flair for having the employees; about to have the rug ripped out from under them - build the stage for him to stand on and announce it -- What a guy!

I find it funny how all of you are defending the notion that Government doesn't create jobs. You do realize that even with your arguments, you are essentially saying that Government can impact job creation...essentially creating jobs. The question is do you just have Government get completely out of the way and have no regulation, which is what lead to this mess in 2008, and have a FREE FOR ALL for everyone involved so that the rich and powerful puts all you small businesses out of competition (i.e. Wal-mart)? Or do you think some Government regulation is necessary to make sure we all play by the same rules and act socially responsible for the citizens of this country that ALLOW YOU TO MAKE YOUR PROFITS! Spin it as you like, but those are the facts and the issue at hand.

Define 'some regulation' and please explain it clearly. When you have a president taking over a company (GM), removing the CEO and replacing him with someone of his choosing, you have a wee bit more than 'some regulation.' When you have a president supporting legislation that essentially allows Geithner to pluck private banks and hand the leavings over to mega-banks, you have a wee mite more regulation that is no longer regulation, but rather, government control.

When you have a president who places a man in control of a Consumer Credit Bureau, despite not being authorized by congress, and said individual essentially determines rules and regulations which affect the industry, you don't have regulation, you have an oligarchy.

Biggest lie of the debate by Obama:
"Rose Garden was Sept. 12, 2012; 8 days later:
                                                from Washington Post;
"But Obama resists saying the ‘t’ word…
OBAMA: “What we’ve seen over the last week, week and a half, is something that actually we've seen in the past, where there is an offensive video or cartoon directed at the prophet Muhammad. And this is obviously something that then is used as an excuse by some to carry out inexcusable violent acts directed at Westerners or Americans.
“And my number-one priority is always to keep our diplomats safe and to keep our embassies safe. And so when the initial events happened in Cairo and all across the region, we worked with Secretary Clinton to redouble our security and to send a message to the leaders of these countries, essentially saying, although we had nothing to do with the video, we find it offensive, it's not representative of America's views, how we treat each other with respect when it comes to their religious beliefs, but we will not tolerate violence.”
QUESTION: “We have reports that the White House said today that the attacks in Libya were a terrorist attack. Do you have information indicating that it was Iran, or al-Qaeda was behind organizing the protests?”
OBAMA: “Well, we're still doing an investigation, and there are going to be different circumstances in different countries. And so I don’t want to speak to something until we have all the information. What we do know is that the natural protests that arose because of the outrage over the video were used as an excuse by extremists to see if they can also directly harm U.S. interests.”
                                                — President Obama, Univision Town Hall, Sept. 20 "

Here is exactly what was said in the Rose Garden the DAY AFTER the attack, which is wht both Mitt and Ms Crowley were referring to: (confirmed by Candy Crowley) "No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. Also, in review of the original article by the New York Times - it was the terrorists whom mentioned the insulting video. They had seen the video and were upset about it.

It will be good to find out the results of the investigation - but of course it will not be any time soon.

No one wanted this to happen - they are learning from this tradgety that is all that can be done now.

President Obama's measured response to the crisis is being turned against him as some kind of conspiracy or cover-up. I would much rather have President who gets his info straight and THEN comments carefully, than a president who in the middle of a crisis, feels the need to call a press conference and spew some poorly considered comments to make political hay. Romney is an idiot and those who vote for him are acting like idiots.

Obama said "acts of terrror" he did not say "terrorist acts" or "acts of terrorists". There is a big f***ing difference ... he was still blaming the video 14 days later for god's sake! Obama is the one that lied, got caught, and then got bailed out by the moderator... over the next few days that will be the story... wait for it!

THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. Every day, all across the world,
American diplomats and civilians work tirelessly to advance the interests and
values of our nation. Often, they are away from their families. Sometimes, they
                                                      brave great danger.

Yesterday, four of these extraordinary Americans were killed in
an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi. Among those killed was our
Ambassador, Chris Stevens, as well as Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith. We
are still notifying the families of the others who were killed. And today, the
American people stand united in holding the families of the four Americans in
our thoughts and in our prayers.

The United States condemns in the strongest terms this
outrageous and shocking attack. We're working with the government of Libya to
secure our diplomats. I've also directed my administration to increase our
security at diplomatic posts around the world. And make no mistake, we will
work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked
                                                      our people.

Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that
respects all faiths. We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs
of others. But there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless
violence. None. The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these
                                                      brutal acts.

Already, many Libyans have joined us in doing so, and this
attack will not break the bonds between the United States and Libya. Libyan
security personnel fought back against the attackers alongside Americans.
Libyans helped some of our diplomats find safety, and they carried Ambassador
Stevens’s body to the hospital, where we tragically learned that he had died.

It's especially tragic that Chris Stevens died in Benghazi
because it is a city that he helped to save. At the height of the Libyan revolution,
Chris led our diplomatic post in Benghazi. With characteristic skill, courage,
and resolve, he built partnerships with Libyan revolutionaries, and helped them
as they planned to build a new Libya. When the Qaddafi regime came to an end,
Chris was there to serve as our ambassador to the new Libya, and he worked
tirelessly to support this young democracy, and I think both Secretary Clinton
and I relied deeply on his knowledge of the situation on the ground there. He
was a role model to all who worked with him and to the young diplomats who
aspire to walk in his footsteps.

Along with his colleagues, Chris died in a country that is still
striving to emerge from the recent experience of war. Today, the loss of these
four Americans is fresh, but our memories of them linger on. I have no doubt
that their legacy will live on through the work that they did far from our
shores and in the hearts of those who love them back home.

Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as
we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks. We mourned with the families
who were lost on that day. I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate
sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington
Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our
wounded warriors at Walter Reed. And then last night, we learned the news of
                                                      this attack in Benghazi.

As Americans, let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only
sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up
for it, and in some cases, lay down their lives for it. Our country is only as
strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian
and military who represent us around the globe.

No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great
nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand
for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the
United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that
justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be
                                                      done.

But we also know that the lives these Americans led stand in
stark contrast to those of their attackers. These four Americans stood up for
freedom and human dignity. They should give every American great pride in the
country that they served, and the hope that our flag represents to people
around the globe who also yearn to live in freedom and with dignity.

We grieve with their families, but let us carry on their memory,
and let us continue their work of seeking a stronger America and a better world
                                                      for all of our children.

Thank you. May God bless the memory of those we lost and may God
bless the United States of America.

I sympathize totally, Kay. Occasionally my vote counts in local elections because the county is the dem holdout in a rep state. In the national election, though, the Idaho constitution makes the electoral votes be all or nothing, so my vote doesn't ever count. It's quite frustrating.

Obama could not do any better without calling out Congess and their total obstruction of any efforts on Obama's part to make progress with the economy.

He did not stoop to their level, which must have been extremely difficult. Extra credit to him for resisting.

That said, Obama could turn water into oil, and Romney would accuse him of depleting the water supply. Romney is nothing more than a wealthy empty suit who has nothing more to offer than an offense as his defense.
If he did tell all his true plans, his supporters who are not among the one percent would run screaming for the hills.

At the end of the day this is a massively important job and it needs a very strong man to do the job. It needs a man commited to the country, its citizens and to the world.

What it does not need is a man who believes he is entitled to the job. He will do and say whatever it takes to get the votes. The problem is at the end of the day, we need a leader. Tonight Willard proved he is incapable of leading.

Romney has changed his positions on almost every issue. That is the sign of a shapeshifting liar. He is like a sponge, he fits in anywhere because he has no defined shape or position. He will say anything to anyone to get a vote. Add to that the fact that he has made almost HALF A BILLION dollars destroying companies and sending jobs to CHINA, and you see why it would be a crime to elect him President. His wife was heard telling a group of supporters that "it is our turn!"(can you say entitled?) and Mr. Romney told a bunch of supporters that he doesnt give a @!$%# about half our nations citizens. Any American who votes for this dangerous clown is being a complete moron.

Romney was exposeed as the master at twisting the truth and changing positions to try to atisfy everyone. I think his herky jerky movements and his overly eager attitude was a real turn off, I can't imagine this guy being President. Also you could see in his body language at the end that he knew he lost the debate.

I really feel sorry for this counhtry and the people in it. So many people are sheep and Obama their shepherd. But what they don't realize is he is a wolf in sheeps clothing. He tells a little truth with his lies to get his followers to believe in him..and like lemmings, they will follow him to their end, they will defend him and his lies because they, themselves believe and become as he is. The only problem is, it's not just their end but the end of those who saw Obama for what he really is. A deceiver of the most clever. I received a text from a 19 year old boy that watched the debate and saw right through Obama...If Obama wins, that 19 year old boys future is gone, as are 10s of thousands of kids his age and coming up as well as the elderly. I don't need to recite why or what policies Obama has implemented or is trying to implement that will be the downfall of the great nation... that time is come and gone. Those that are blinded by him will not see the truth of Obama's treachery and secret degrees of planning and deceit. Those that can... will only be able to shake their heads and cry for this country and their families. This nation is the scorn and laughing stock of other nations. Even they see and realize the downfall of this country. Read their comments. "You Americans no great country no more. You have Obama. Open eyes and see what he does." Please vote for Romeny....and I would say that if anyone else was running against Obama. At least it's a change. It will take time to clean up the messes the last several presidents have put us in and it's no small task... but Obama has proven that he has only created much more of a mess and hasn't been able to clean up much of anything. He's destructive to this country. He should be president... I don't say this out of anger or disrespect for the 'man' Obama. Just a reality check.

I don't need to recite why or what policies Obama has implemented or is trying to implement that will be the downfall of the great nation...

Aw, c'mon! Inquiring minds want to know! Or could it be there just aren't any facts to back this up?

"You Americans no great country no more. You have Obama. Open eyes and see what he does." Please vote for Romeny....

Obviously a Chinese post. China is hoping and praying for Romney to get elected. Their economy is faltering and they really need the boost that Romney will give them if elected.

                                                            That's all Romney does!!!

"I'll fix the economy, I'll fix the economy, I'll fix the economy.... the Government cant fix the economy.... I'll create jobs, I'll create jobs, I'll create jobs... the government can't create jobs, the government can't create jobs..."
