The moderator seems awfully biased against Joe, but the comments I'm seeing seem to indicate she's doing a great job. Are there only repubs posting comments?

Watching on CNN, undecided voter bar is ridiculous!!! Biden kicking lying Ryan's ass but undecided seem to be turning up the dial even when Ryan babbles and lies. Where did CNN get these hacks?

It is past Biden's bedtime. He is obviously a child with his behavior tonight. And this is the man that is a heartbeat away from the Presidency? OMG!!!! His disrespect and rudeness has me admiring Ryan more and more for taking the high road and not engaging in these childish antics.

She is definitely trying to discredit Biden, but she is making herself and Ryan look like fools in comparison. Funny, I never really cared for Joe until tonight. Smart, self assured man. Still, I would have liked to see another party or two in the debates. Why do they keep telling me I have to chose between these two parties?

Biden is making Ryan looks like the fool he is. Ryan can't say anything other than the vague talking points he has heard repeated at least in the last week..... Wait..... What did Romney say last week.... Oh, he changed his position on that again. Must be that darn 47 percent of Americans who do not pay taxes and want a handout.

Biden needed to look at the camera more IMO.

Paul Ryan seemed like a cub scout in a room full generals. His condescending demeanor scares me. His answers seemed so pre-planed, scripted beyond belief . . . robotic like. I am sure he would make a great used car salesman, but not Vice president. Also, if Mitt Romney were elected president, Paul Ryan just would not cut it as president if something happened to Mitt Romney and could not fulfill his duties. His views on war and peace scare the crap out of me.

Great debate, I really feel Joe Biden won. Paul Ryan needs to go back to debate school.

Obama/Biden win easy 2012 ~

Best Regards, Roger E.Z.

I don't think I saw the same debate that the ABC commentators saw. They claim that Biden was charming, smiling. The moderator supposedly kept an iron hand on the debate. I saw a rude person run over the moderator, interupting his opponent and answering over/for him. I saw someone give answers that had half the "fact" (ex. security defunded by $300 million...fogetting to mention that it was voted by 147 republicans and 149 democrats) I saw a childish response to closing remarks (He got 40 seconds and I only get 15)

CNN calls it a "tie" or "win" for Ryan. They must have been reading the bs independent voter bars! May be CNN just tries to hard to be "fair". May be CNN is on another planet. Biden destroyed him, both on substance and character. Ryan came off as the total fake and a phoney and phoney. This election shouldn't even be close!

Towards the end Biden got tired of the lies and it wasn't funny anymore.

Funny, I saw the moderator giving more time to Ryan and Biden was just asking for his fair share. Surely you didn't miss where Biden asked for equal time and she told him he only had a few seconds?

As usual, I need to let people know that I am a supporter of neither party, but the Party (by concept) I would choose has been taken over by a weird combination of Elite, elderly, Evangelical, and un-educated.

Biden constantly interrupted for the first hour, was rude for the entire 90 minutes, scoffing, making noises, acting like a child, and this from the Vice President of the most powerful nation on earth?

The Democrats have redefined disrespectfulness. Biden lied at least 14x from my count, clear, bald faced lies. He is an embarrassment and a vile human being - he is personally a Catholic, but doesn't want to tell others what to do (fine so far) but then wants the government to tell Catholics what to do, against their own religious beliefs and convictions? Only an idiot liberal would say something so stupid, let alone think it makes sense.

Thank you Joe Biden and Barak Obama for making the choice clear - stick with two idiots who have failed by every objective measure, or switch to a team of men who believe in decency and put their lives, their time and their money where their mouth is.

Biden - top 1.5% income bracket, donated less than 1% of his income, claims to be for the middle class, yet his administration has overseen the destruction of the middle class, and expansion of poor unseen in generations, and an enrichment of the 1% like never seen before. The bankers were made whole, the billionaires were made whole, the middle class got screwed. Anyone who believes Biden and Obama are "for" the middle class are simply dense, as they have destroyed the middle and transferred billions to their supporters.

I think Ryan slightly outperformed Biden. Biden had less command of the facts, spoke more in platitudes, while Ryan calmly dismantled his arguments. And Biden came across as absolutely obnoxious just on style, rude and frequently ignorant.

    " ... and the economy collapses. ... "

From the mouths of boobs. And the Right thinks that the Left wants America to fail? Here is one more example of who REALLY wants America to fail.

Sad. Just so freaking sad. The Right would rather see America fall then admit that they have, and still are screwing the pooch. And then blame the brown guy in the White House for the disaster that is their making.

Fear, hate, bigotry, arrogance and ignorance are the Rights new family values. And they want us to let them have another chance at f'ing this country up.

    To quote Samuel Jackson ....

Go to HEALTHCARE.GOV, with an open mind and read all the facts, and you will find it is a great legislation, that is needed very badly and most all of the civilized nations, have had universal healthcare for a long time and it works very well for them. Democrats have been seeking to pass healthcare reform for decades, but republicans have blocked it. Now, republicans do not want you to know the real benefits for you in Obamacare. They are lying when they tell you it is bad. They rather deny you benefits that are in your favor, than to let Obama have any credit for working for all of the American people.

Somewhere beyond this rhetoric is the truth---that is The administration came in with the debt of two wars tax breaks for the wealthiest and a rx plan under medicare that didn't work(and by the way AARP supported). We need to cut the deifict, we need the health care change with preexisting conditions. It is time to put childlike toys aside and be concerned about the people who you work for---not lobbying raising money but beginning to solve the problems that face this country like the generations before us. Campaign BS is just that. Lets get on with it. Its time to come together at the table and advocate for US!!

Paul Ryan lies again. First of all, he's not in the 54 or older group. Second, Social Security did not help pay for his college unless he was a child genius. Thanks to the great Republican Communicator, Ronald Reagan, Social Security benefits for dependent children were ended at 18 regardless of whether or not they went to college. I know. I started college the year the benefit was eliminated. It has changed my financial life for the worse forever. And I have survived and live a good life, but that change put me behind by at least a decade.

then you know nothing about survivor and widow benes from ss. yes they would pay for him to go too college and also continue his and moms benes til he graduates, otherwise those benes stop at 18 or when he graduates highschool....so yes they did help him go too college. but unlike most american children they are stuck with hig costs and pay way into their 30's to repay and governmanet help to go too college....so who used the SS system , but the one who wnats to cut most of it....

SocSec did help Ryan pay for college in the sense that his family didn't need to use the SocSec survivor benefits he received after his father died to pay daily expenses. So he saved the $ and used it for college. I don't like the guy and think he stretches and manipulates the truth when he's not outright lying, but he's not lying per se about using SocSec $ for college. It's just that saying SocSec paid for his college education gives a different impression than saying he saved the $ and used it when the time came - an example of Ryan's truth manipulation.

MSNBC"s camera is cutting off Biden's face. Get your act together! You're making Biden look bad visually. UNPROFESSIONAL!

Please stop posting the same lies that the Republicans will sping. If anyone is smirking (oh and you should learn to spell it) and rolling his eyes, it's Paul Ryan. And who coached him that looking down and raising your eyes makes you believable? In fact, it makes you look like a lying brat.

OB WIN - Ryan looks down to jot down notes. Same thing Obama did in the previous debate. Taking time to reflect before spouting off. You can't seriously think Biden is acting like a mature adult.

I thought Ryan should have been more agressive but Joe Biden's smirking, smiling, and interrupting is embarrassing. He could be the president is scary!

Replay the Romney debate and look at romney. He was smirking, staring and interrupting and embarrassing. Obama was trying to act like a grown up president so he lost because he didnt throw enough tantrums and act up enough. You guys are getting where I don't want to listen to you at all. And Fox News should grow up and quit embarrassing themselves. What people do for money!

I think Biden was so desperate to defend Obama and to drown out Ryan's message that he sunk to infantile behavior like snickering and laughing to distract viewers and to show scorn for Ryan, and his incessant interruptions even to the point of yelling at the moderator. It was a giant embarrassment for the Democratic party, and his bullying behavior could be seen by anyone who had their eyes open. He had no self control, and all I could see were those huge horse teeth constantly, looking like an idiot in a suit.

The moderator was totally lame !!! She let Biden make faces, interrupt, talk over Ryan when it was Ryan's turn to speak -- all night long. She never once asked Biden to wait his turn, she never said anything to indicate that his childish behavior was inappropriate. She did nothing to control the debate so it could proceed without Biden's stupid antics and bullying. If anything I think it was a draw. Bullying does not make a person right, it just makes them show they are desperate to assert themselves.

I can't bring myself to watch these debates, because I can't stomach Romney or Ryan any more. They make my skin crawl. I also can't wait for November 6th so I can celebrate the Obama / Biden win!!!

                            1) Biden is under pressure, granted, but his laughing while Ryan is talking comes across badly; 2) This moderator is a joke. She has allowed Biden his full 2 minutes PLUS time interrupting Ryan while Ryan is trying to speak during his 2 minutes. She should never be allowed to moderate a debate again; 3) Biden is acting like a grumpy old man, continually sighing, laughing, interrupting and making stupid comments.

Well AZhusker76, the moderator is a personal friend of the Obamas. (They attended her wedding in '91). Biden is simply a buffoon. His intent was not to debate, but to belittle Ryan. He came off looking like the class clown instead, laughing while the discussion was about deeply serious issues, including murdered Americans. Ryan handled it all with character and poise.
