Watch the debate with NBC News

In the first of three presidential debates, President Barack Obama goes head-to-head with Republican nominee Mitt Romney Wednesday in Denver, Colorado. With just 34 days until Election Day, the candidates will field questions for 90 minutes on domestic policy beginning at 9 p.m ET.  We’ll carry the debate live on NBC News, and you can also get the full debate experience away from the television.

In what many have termed a social election season, the voice of voters will be heard online across social media platforms in real-time as the candidates’ debate the issues on-air.

Consider this your viewers guide to follow, like, fan and participate in Wednesday’s first presidential debate.

NBCPolitics.com and the NBC Politics App

NBCPolitics.com and the NBC Politics app (available on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) will livestream the debate and provide full analysis before, during and after the candidates speak in Denver.

Social TV

For the first time, NBC News will create an experience with new second-screen platform Zeebox. Within the app, users will have a curated view of real-time social media reaction along with the ability to share images and quotes from the debate as it happens. For more information, visit zeebox.com.

On-Air Social Integration

Similar to our integration into primetime broadcasts at the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, NBC News will again utilize Mass Relevance technology to integrate social media on-air during the analysis portion of our broadcast (not during the debate portion).

Truth Squad

Across all platforms, NBC News has formed an editorial team called “The Truth Squad.” Through real-time social media updates during the debates and further reporting afterwards, the team will be focused on fact-checking all statements from the candidates.

Twitter

Viewers can be a part of the experience on Twitter by following and joining the conversation using the hashtag #NBCPolitics and by following @NBCPolitics and @NBCNews.

Facebook

Turn to NBC News and NBC Politics on Facebook for a livestream of the debate in its entirety. In addition, check back for highlights, analysis and more commentary both during and after the event.

XBox

The NBC News Xbox application will also be live streaming the presidential and vice-presidential debates for the 2012 election season. Users with an Xbox Live Gold membership can watch the uninterrupted debates stream inside the application.

Crimson Hexagon Social Analysis

We're also tracking social media commentary on the major presidential candidates using a natural-language tool called ForSight, developed by Crimson-Hexagon Inc. Results are culled from all Twitter messages and a sampling of Facebook posts each day, and reflect not national opinion but a broader look at what's being said by Americans who follow politics and are active on Facebook, Twitter or both, and why they're saying it. Read more about the tool here.

Lets see how many times the crazy NBC/MSNBC panel pulls the race card. Every single person on their election coverage panel is an 0bama leg humper. 0bama could go out there and literally say "pass" when he is asked tough questions and the panel will still say he won the debate.

Some of the debate questions have been leaked:

Romney's debate questions from the Main Stream Media:

1. Your economic plan doesn't add up. Explain in detail how you can balance the budget, promote jobs growth, and cut programs that 90% of all Americans favor. You have 30 seconds.

2. Where are your tax returns? Did you bring them tonight?
If not, why not? You have 40 seconds.

3. You put a harmless and defenseless animal on the roof of your car. Explain.

4. Why do you hate women? You have 12 seconds.

5. What have you done to stop the war in Afghanistan?

6. Why does your wife show up all working Americans by wearing those designer clothes while Ms. Obama shops at Target for her clothing?

7. That stinky horse of yours, when are you getting rid of it?

8. France is taxing their people at 75%. Why can't we do that here, except for the people in Hollywood and those working in the news business? You have 18 seconds.

9. You're rich. How much of it did you steal from the poor people? Just give us a number.

Obama's debate questions from the MSM:

1. Mr. President, how are you tonight?

2. How is Michelle? We certainly do love seeing her! Can you tell us about all the fun things she's doing?

3. Why is Mitt Romney wrong about pretty much everything? You have 45 minutes to explain. If you need more time, let us know.

4. I like your tie, where did you get it?

5. Regarding education, your kids look to be doing well. What colleges will you be looking at for them?

6. The economy is improving so much with only a drop of a not even a half a percent in GDP from 1.7% to 1.3% growth this last quarter. How have you accomplished such an astounding turnaround?

7. Do you like horses Mr. President? Mitt Romney owns horses, and I think they smell bad. What do you think?

8. You still blame Bush. I agree with you. Please explain why Bush was the worst President ever. Please feel free to include Dick Cheney and Karl Rove in your answer. Take as much time as you need.

9. Do you want to talk about deficit spending? I didn't think so. Tell us instead, what are the ladies on The View really like?

LOL!

The debates are rigged. The questions are pre-approved by the candidates. This is not a real debate, just a show to sway votes.

Why would I watch it on NBC? Brian Williams, Chuck Todd, David Gregory and Andrea Mitchell are among the worst offenders when it comes to biased reporting. We might as well have a government run media.

So you are saying that you need post-debate coaching to understand what the candidates said and to help you make a decision. Williams, Todd,Gregory and Mitchell will not be moderating the debate. If you can't watch it, understand the answers, and make up your own mind without being bottle-fed by some news commentator, skip the debates entirely. I'm sure that with minimal effort you can do some "dialing for ideology" and find someone who will back up your pre-judged opinions ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ regardless of the answers given.

The problem is the panel is STACKED by O's crony media. It would be more interesting if it was 50/50. Personally I'd like to see Charles Krauthammer on the panel.

hmmm 90% of what you hear, see, or read is filter through 6 news corporations. so it may not be government controlled (which by the way is suppose to be the people...). trying waking up people both main parties are bad for this country .

At least Fox has Joe Trippi (dem), Juan Williams (HUGE liberal and O supporter -- no one spins better than Juan), and various members of liberal media outlet including Jabu, Rachel Maddow, and the woman from Christian Science Monitor mag or rag. I've been on various other channels and it's so packed to the left with liberals it's anything BUT fair & balanced. But you fail to mention those little tidbits James.

given that 90% of what you see, read and hear is filter through 6 corporation for "news". you still got 5 choices. though I would find different sources since all there agendas seem to be terrible journalism to keep americans in the dark.....sad thing it is working. Because yet again we have a two party system that is hijacking america, so what do americans do .......argue who is hijacking the system less.....vote the lessor of two evils..... how about this demand fairness through media, questions.

Congress and tell them to be a part of the solution and not the opposition and problem for the Amerikan people "????He truly needs to have Balls and tell it like it truly is ...He has tried and failed because of the Rep. Congress and opposition because of Race and Hatred and failure to Help or accept anything resembling help to the Middle Class or anyone struggling in this economy. While giving to there friends in Wealth and power ..Shame on Romney for leading the wealthy and Being a BIG part of the Problem and nothing for a solution.....Vote for Obama if you care ....Romney if you truly do not care for anyone but You're wealthy friends.....Frank Blackstone ......out

We saw Obama being defeated in the 1st debate in Denver CO last night. You will again see more of the same in the next two debates. But the one to watch for a complete ass kicking will be between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan. Biden will be out of his league and have a meltdown because he is not used to having somebody point out what a joke he is.

The Obama Campaign Managers are to blame for this debacle last night and Axelrod, Cutter, and LaBolt are wondering which one of these so called political experts will be fired by Obama
