Ann Romney's airplane made an emergency landing in Denver, Colo., on Friday after its cabin filled with smoke, the campaign of her husband, Republican presidential challenger Mitt Romney, said.
Everyone on board the private plane was safe, a campaign spokesman said.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the Canadair Challenger 601 operated by World Wide Jet was traveling from Omaha, Neb., to Santa Monica, Calif., and was diverted to Denver at about 2:40 p.m. (4:40 p.m. ET) after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit. Upon landing, passengers exited via the stairs on the taxiway, the FAA said.
Anne Romney and her husband spoke shortly after the landing, Romney campaign press aide Rick Gurka told reporters traveling with the candidate in Las Vegas.
The cause was believed to be an electrical fire, Romney campaign press secretary Andrea Saul said in a tweet.

Republicans Job's Bill just passed by the House.
The United States House of Representatives passed a bill — House Resolution 3012 — which favors highly skilled workers by removing country-specific caps on immigrant engineers, computer scientists and other professionals.
House representatives voted 389 to 15 in favor of HR 3012 or the "Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act." The bill is also expected to pass in the Senate.
By eliminating the cap from each country on high-skilled working visa, talented immigrants from India, Philippines, China and other emerging economies can work in the US, the report said.
The Republicans want to create jobs alright, just not for Americans!! They want to bring low wage highly workers to take our places unless we will work for lower wages.

There have been many plane problems of in the last years with all countries like Poland and Hillary Clinton and even Michelle Obama had some trouble. Just today the sound of Endeavor flying over my house was like it was going to crash into my house or houses around my house. Planes are not as safe as we think and we need to work on how to make it safer for everybody.
Something with as much engineering/physics involved as a plane will always have problems. They are extremely safe compared to in the past. I'm sure a 747 flying over your house sounds pretty loud, doesn't mean its unsafe.
I have just become less afraid of flying...I realized on a plane once flying to alaska ..a long long flight from kansas city Mo to alaska...this women who was on her computer ...looked at me and said...really....when its your time...its your time..whether your at home..or in the air...or in the water...when she said that..I realized..no matter where i was on what I was doing....nothing would stop if I was going to die...so..I made peace with God and left it up to HIm....the little saying helps...."let go, Let God....and I did ....felt so much better...glad ann romney is ok...she has been through so much...I voting for romney...because I know how he believes....and we have got to get out of this hole...4 more yrs of obama will destroy america...to socialist america....not good...total gov control....the constitution would go out the window...
vickie, i commend you on raising five children. i am raising two now and even THAT is not easy! so, my hat is definitely off to you. however, with regards to ann romney raising five children, i highly doubt she did it alone. her husband was (even at that time) a wealthy man, and i dont think he would let his wife raise five children without some kind of help for her. as a man, i know i would not burden my wife to raise our kids without help if i were rich!! i dont know if you had help, but if you did then you know the ¨pain¨ of raising multiple kids is not so great as doing it alone.
on another matter, obama is NOT bankrupting the country, nor is it going socialist. america is not a dictatorship and his proposed policies cannot become law without approval by congress. are you one of those individuals who also thinks he was not born in america? if he wins, which i hope he does and i will vote for him, i think you will see that america is on the right track. yes, he is wealthy too, but obama did not grow up rich like romney. he did not have help from a rich daddy like romney (or donald trump for that matter), so i think obama can relate more to the average american than romney can because of this. join us, vickie, and lets do four more years together...in harmony!

Ann seems cold and rigid compared to Michelle Obama. Michelle is warm, approachable, and hospitable. Have you watched Michelle Obama with kids at various schools and in the garden at the White House? I love watching her work with kids, she's very natural and comfortable in that role. She's setting an excellent example for her own girls, and for young girls everywhere.

While I do not think Mitt has a chance, as he is so disconnected with the rest of society, it is good to know that the plane landed safely and no one was hurt.

I work with special equestrians and the therapy is wonderful for all ages with disabilities. But you'll never understand.
