I think most of us (defendants, lawyers, politicians and paid trolls excluded) try to tell the truth, but we are all (myself included) right and wrong whenever we make the effort. It really is only because I think the Republicans are the nastier whores that I'll be voting Democratic.

Let me tell you all why the last approximately 4 years hasn't been much of a success, it's mainly because from day 1 the republicans decided that they are not going to work with Obama, they have been more of obstructionist than anything else. No matter what the Democrats put forward they shoot it down, even if it is something that they themselves presented in the past, and they have also lobbied their big wigs to not hire, even though they are making a profit, look at the stock market, it is now 13, 000, much better than 4 years ago, so why are they not hiring? Instead they are holding the middle class hostage, then want to blame Obama for that. What we need is a change in the House so things can start moving again. Republicans are nothing but a bunch of crooks, and liars, they are like the Sheriff of Nothingham back in the days of Robin Hood, guess who is Robin Hood. Vote Democrat.

Holly, someone that has had one abortion isn't someone who's using abortion as birth control, it's just someone who's had an abortion. What benr and I were talking about are the women who supposedly use it not as a backup when a mistake pregnancy happens, but who habitually use abortion as a sole means of birth control, and those women simply don't exist. I never suggested that it doesn't take an emotional toll, I know for a fact it does. I have a friend who became pregnant as a result of a rape and had the pregnancy terminated. Nobody would have expected her to carry a rapists baby to term and any person that would is by far, the absolute worst human being on the planet, even worse than the rapist himself.

Last week's Akin is having a profound effect this week. Romney did have a rather comfortable lead in Missouri, thanks to Mr. Akin, that lead is GONE and Obama now leads in Missouri by a point. In fact, Rasmussen Reports (the conservative pollster) had to take Missouri out of the "leans Romney" category and throw it back into the "tossup" category. That's 10 electoral votes that Romney desperately needs if he's even dreaming about getting to 270, and Akin may have just handed them to President Obama (although, in all seriousness, Romney never really stood a snowball's chance in hell of winning 270 electoral votes, Obama's lead in the Electoral College is just too much for Romney to overcome.)

When the results came in, the economy for the 4th quarter of 08 was MUCH WORSE than anticipated. But, heh, so what? Interesting however, if the Republicans had done what they did under recessions with GOP presidents, Reagan, Bush and Bush, and allowed public sector jobs to grow rather than cut them by over 700,000, economists tell us that unemployment rate would be less than 7.5 percent. And what if they had allowed the jobs act to pass- which would have created 1.9 to 3 million new jobs and which had the majority support of all americans, even Repubs- where would we be now? the Pubs know exactly where we would be now. But their deliberate sabotaging of the economy has done what they wanted it to do- keep the economy down. I think that is very close to treason- destroying the economy and people's lives for political gain.

Also, the deficit has been reduced from 1.6 trillion over the past 3.5 years. A recession isn't the time to be cutting spending overly much, but that is a discussion for another time...

He thought, in error, that though the Republicans in congress disagreed with him on policy, they would be willing to work with him to repair the economy and help put Americans back to work. You know... put their country first. He was wrong. They've only shown him hatred and disrespect. Their behavior borders on treason.

working again. The Wars: Our President gets a double AA as Commander in chief. Ending the War in

Iraq with responsibility, an excellant prosecution of the war in Afganistan, and the Justice delivered and

once denied with the Killing of bin laddin and leading terrorist. The Health Insurance Reform:

The Republicans had fifty or more years to fix this injustice. Our President ended medical discrimination

and secure a smart reform and corrected this long injustice. We the people prevailed in the Congress,

the White House and the Supreme Court. The Republican bias against community good in favor of

individual self interest has been soundly rejected in every way.... Education: Our President made a path

for Students to fund and pay for their education. The Republicans do not want to support the value of educational preparation. The Rand Paul pledge to kill the Dept. of Education.

Paying for the peoples government: Republicans do not want to pay for the Peoples Government and the

rule of law, police, firemen, teachers etc. In this way they are like the Greeks. The Greeks did not pay their

taxes. Our President is fairminded for the poor and the middle class. The Buffet Rule is fair and just.

It is our long standing American value of progressive taxation. The Republicans did not pay for the

Iraq war...thus we have a debt. Values: Our President respects the individual formation of moral

conscience. He does not impose his faith on Americans but allows each their religious consciense.

The Repulicans wish to impose their moral opinions upon gays and lesbians, women, and unbrideled

greed and corruption on all americans. Poison in baby shampoo, poison in apple juice, and corruption

on wall street and banking no problem. No regard for we the people. Our President took on BP

after the oil spill in the gulf and delivered justice. We are whole with Obama even as Isaac hit.

I've HAD a transvaginal ultrasound - when I was pregnant with my almost 6 year old son. It literally is a wand what they stick INSIDE a woman to get a look at the embryo. If done with an empty bladder, it is MUCH less likely to give an accurate picture. When the Governor realized the outcry and the fact that the House was advocating STATE-SPONSORED RAPE, he demanded that it be an external ultrasound ... which defeats the purpose of the requirement since the external ultrasound is INEFFICIENT in terms of rendering a picture of an 8 - 12 week old embryo/fetus. But, it satisfied the dried-up male OBSTETRICIAN who AUTHORED the bill and knew darn well what he was advocating.

It is time we practiced a little economic Darwinism and cut loose some of those who are a drag on society. Actually, when it comes to governments, they can go broke spending too little money. Governments function best in healthy economies. Healthy economies are created by taxing people enough to provide infrastructure (jobs), agencies and oversight (regulation/jobs), a decent military for defense (not offense), a safety net for the poor and disabled and elderly, an education system that will provide a trained workforce into the future, etc. A government that provides none of those things will go bankrupt. Their infrastructure will crumble. Their environment will be destroyed by a failure to regulate clean air, water, and food. A failure to provide a safety net will create so much illness and hunger that disease will become a serious problem. A workforce without job skills cannot produce enough domestic product to keep the economic engine running. A failure to provide a decent infrastructure will make it impossible to move goods at a reasonable cost. A failure to regulate the banking and finance industry will result in reckless speculation that will collapse the economy. Remember that one?

So yes, not spending enough money can send a government into bankruptcy. When you are economizing on your family budget you cut back on luxuries (like tanks the military didn't want or need). You don't save money by stopping payment on your mortgage or your utility bills or your groceries. Some expenditures are critical to survival, even in a family budget.

No person and no government can stop spending. You can reduce spending (which Obama has done) but you can't stop spending. That way lies destruction.

Unemployed this is a joke Obama has reduced spending, another 1 plus trillion in debt this fiscal year, 4 straight years of over a trillion, for the record no other President has ever had a trillion dollar deficit and this president has be able to do it for 4 straight years, he has failed and your assessment of the government needs to spend money is in over drive, and the constitution says Promote general welfare not Provide, so I disagree with your premise except for the military, but we need to be able to have a ready military and not have to build it up when there is a crisis like 9/11.
