It's typical Republican tactic of starving the beast. What these 1% didn't understand is such tactics hurt 1% themselves. When the Middle Class feel safe with hard-earned retirement benefits, they spend on goods and services that benefit the businesses of the 1%, delivering more profits to the 1%.

So the 1% and their Republican minions are shooting themselves in the foot with their idiotic policies to starving the beast.
