Obama campaign launches new Romney outsourcing ad

President Barack Obama's re-election campaign is launching a new attack on Republican rival Mitt Romney's business record.

The ad says Romney invested in companies that outsourced jobs.

In a television advertisement released Tuesday, the campaign says Romney invested in companies that moved jobs overseas and supports tax breaks for companies that do so. The ad, titled "Believe", says Obama believes in "insourcing" and favors tax cuts for companies that bring jobs back to the U.S.

Democrats believe a drumbeat of ads accusing Romney of shipping U.S. jobs overseas is starting to take hold in battleground states and impact voters' views of the presumptive GOP nominee.

The ad is running in nine politically important states, including Colorado and Virginia.

Without a doubt, Obama is clearly the best thing to hit our white house in decades. An educated rightous family man. The hope and change this country voted for and actually needs can and will be fulfilled by no one better. He has within him the truth of conviction to bring this country closer to what america means to working people better than anyone. The dysfunctional GOP and ol Missfit are not showing me the honorable fortitude that is required. The GOP has been daily proven to be shameful. They have wasted to much of our precious time and treasure in the last DECADE. Obama deserves a second term. The american people deserve a cleaning of congress of the new shame republicans have brought to it.

Romney is a lying hypocrite. Romney is against women's right to choose but he is for making money by investing in Stericycle, a firm that, as part of its medical industry services, disposed of aborted fetuses.

Romney will do anything to make money - including shutting down factories, and sending people packing.

There is one thing that Santorum got right: Romney is the worst Republican that they could come up with, and on top of that I will add, he is not a good human being.

Romney continued the policy in Massachusetts of outsourcing call center jobs to India.

From politifact.com:

"The Democratic-controlled Massachusetts legislature in 2004 sent Romney a budget with an amendment that would prohibit state contracts with companies that outsource the work to other countries.

At the time, Massachusetts had a $160,000 contract with Citigroup to process debit cards for food stamps. Citigroup outsourced its customer service call center to India. Massachusetts was hardly unique; a 2005 study by the General Accounting Office found 43 states had contracts that outsourced work.

Romney vetoed the amendment, noting that outsourcing jobs saved the state money and even if those positions returned to the United States, they would not necessarily be located in Massachusetts, which did not have many call centers. The bottom line, he said, was that the bill would cost his state and provide little or no benefit."

Romney is all about profit and not about jobs. Hence, it is NOT an Obama lie.

Republicans and their "super PAC" allies will hold a substantial advantage this fall.

you got that right - money is pouring into Romney SuperPACs, and no one knows where some of that money is coming from.

You know what the difference is between Obama's Hollywood donors, and Romney's billionaire donors? Actors and comedians don't have much to gain from their support to Obama- actually they have something to lose since Obama is for taxing the rich.

Romney's billionaires will look for deregulation and tax breaks so they can keep even more. There is a reason why someone like Adelson has written checks worth $35 million and counting. He WILL expect something in return.

Top Democratic fundraisers and lobbyists with links to the White House are behind a proposed wind farm in Texas that stands to get $450 million in stimulus money, even though a Chinese company would operate the farm and its turbines would be built in China.

The farm’s backers also have close ties with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., who, at the height of his hard-fought re-election bid this fall, helped blunt congressional criticism over stimulus dollars possibly going to create jobs in China by endorsing a proposal by the Chinese company to build a factory in his home state. Although his campaign received thousands of dollars in donations from the wind farm’s backers and Reid stood on stage with them at a campaign event they hosted, his office declined to answer any questions about the wind farm’s organizers or their plans for Nevada.

"4 Pinocchios for Obama’s newest anti-Romney ad
The claim that Romney outsourced jobs as governor is equally overblown.

This concerns Romney’s veto of a bill that would have prohibited Massachusetts from contracting with companies that outsourced the state’s work to other countries. Lawmakers were especially concerned about a $160,000-a-month contract with Citigroup to operate a system of electronic food-stamp cards that included a customer phone service center in India.

Both the liberal editorial page of the Boston Globe and conservative editorial page of the Boston Herald urged Romney to veto the amendment, saying it would cost the state money. Romney agreed, saying the measure did not protect state jobs — the call center might have moved from India to another state — but “had the potential of costing our citizens a lot more money.” The Democratic-dominated Massachusetts legislature did not override his veto, even though it overturned 117 others, suggesting that there was little real support for the measure.

When the food-stamp contract expired, the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance insisted that those jobs be returned to the United States. But they ended up in a call center based in Utah — just as Romney had predicted."

...

Regarding the outsourcing claims, we have frowned on these before. The Obama campaign rests its case on three examples of Bain-controlled companies sending jobs overseas. But only one of the examples — involving Holson Burns Group — took place when Romney was actively managing Bain Capital.

Regarding the other claims, concerning Canadian electronics maker SMTC Manufacturing and customer service firm Modus Media, the Obama campaign tries to take advantage of a gray area in which Romney had stepped down from Bain — to manage the Salt Lake City Olympics — but had not sold his shares in the firm. We had previously given the Obama campaign Three Pinocchios for such tactics.

The Modus Media case is also not an example of shipping jobs overseas. The company closed one plant in California and transferred the jobs to North Carolina, Washington and Utah. At the same time, it opened an unrelated plant in Mexico. The Obama campaign once trumpeted the fact that we had dinged a conservative Super PAC for making the same leap in logic.

...

The Pinocchio Test

The Obama campaign fails to make its case. On just about every level, this ad is misleading, unfair and untrue, from the use of “corporate raider” to its examples of alleged outsourcing. Simply repeating the same debunked claims won’t make them any more correct.

The Washington Post had to take back it's article on this because it simply isn't true. What is true is the Job Czar's company GE outsources ~60,000 jobs overseas. Wake up folks....with all that's transpiring your freedoms are going a little at a time and no one notices becasue the handouts keep growing and ~ 52% of the population get entitlement of some kind something for nothing. People that really need help should be able to get it, some provisions of the health care act are great... having the federal government keep growing is not. How many know this....when the government took over sutudent loans it put a whole industry out of work and took choice away. I just don't get it I guess..take away our choice..and nthat's ok because there are folks in need. For all of you really wealthy people out there that continually degrade making it in the US...here's a thought donate ALL your money to the poor...perhaps then my middle class funds can keep my head above water...oh wait we always pay..and please don't tell me how the administration is solving that....watch your tax bills coming folks...make no mistake you will be paying and the wealthy for the downrodden will not be giving up their wealth. It's Ok for Hollywood to throw lavish parties...how about they donate their money to the poor or at least quit criticizing those that worked hard and made it..that's what this country is all about.

The Democrats used Tax payers money to pay back campaign donations and support from the Chinese to create jobs for the Chinese.

Its one thing for private business to decide its more economically feasible to produce a product oversees and decide to move there privately funded business operations, its quite another when the Government is giving our money to the Chinese to create Jobs in China.

What someone like David doesn't understand, is that every job that was eliminated due to Romney's veto, was a job that would have resulted in an income tax (federal and state) paying citizen, sales tax paying citizen, and a citizen that would definitely have not depended on unemployment insurance and/or health insurance funded by the taxpayer.

And Eric - whether you realize it or not, you are actually supporting Romney with your inflammatory posts. Because when a leader makes a point to preserve jobs, but does so at a substantial cost to his state but with little or no material benefit to show for it, then the state eventually goes bankrupt, and pretty soon everyone is losing his or her job. There is a delicate balance between short term prosperity and long term sustainability, and in this case, Romney made the right decision.

Are you aware that we do have wind turbine manufacturers right here in the Good Old U.S.A.?

Do you honestly believe we don't have people in the U.S.A. that would be capable of managing a wind farm?

I thought the whole Point of spending $837 billion dollars of taxpayers money was to create jobs here in the U.S.A.?

Why did the Obama admin take $450 million dollars of American Taxpayers Money to Create Jobs in China when it was supposed to be used to create jobs here in the U.S.A.?

Here it is July of 2012 and after 3.6 years of Obama unemployment is still two tenths higher than when he took office. In Jan of 2009 Unemployment was 7.9% and now its at 8.1%.

At this rate Unemployment will return to normal levels in what 200 Years or so?

The Obama campaign thinks if you say the same lie over and over eventually people will believe it to be true. Obama and the Democrats have conjured up the war on women, race wars, class warfare, and now a war on outsourcing. Most of which began after Bill Clinton signed NAFTA into law. One thing for sure, no jobs are coming home to a country in total disarray from taxes to spending to healthcare. So at least with Romney he understands why the jobs left in the first place, Obama simply doesn't have a clue. If Obama had a record to run on, he would. Yes we can is now why we couldn't.

@3rdpartyadvocate...It's interesting you brought up NAFTA, in 2008 I was working for a consulting firm and had a client in the Northwest Territories. I flew from NY to Canada and when I arrived in Vancouver was escorted to customs where they asked me the purpose of my trip which I responded as business. At that point, he began grilling me on what I do and what is it about my role that a Canadian cannot do. At that point, he brought forward a paper which he described as provisions from NAFTA. Bottom line, I needed to pay for a temp work visa or would not be allowed into the country. It's funny, all the crap and jokes Canada gets from the US and they are the only ones that have the balls to protect their citizens from outsourced labor.

Okay, let's just say that this campaign is gonna be negative from BOTH sides, and there is gonna be a lot of lies from BOTH sides. Obama with the outsourcing, Romney with the "Obama apologized for America's greatness." Can we all agree on that???

Now, to those referring to the loss of jobs thanks to NAFTA, that didn't have to happen. For the past half-century, America has sought to embrace free trade to expand markets to US exporters. The problem is that most of the other countries that we conducted free trade agreements with either refused to open up their markets significantly and forced U.S. companies to release technology secrets etc, or that the other nations kept protective tariffs to shield important industries. We simply opened our markets and let the other nations feast on our "free lunch." Now, does this mean that we have to abandon free trade??? Not really. What we must do is aggressively open foreign markets to our exporters who we have opened our markets to, or slap high tariffs on their goods. Secondly, we must establish a "protective barrier" to key industries, notably high-tech and manufacturing industries, so that we can maintain a vibrant domestic manufacturing or high-tech base. Thirdly, we must ban any and all lobbyists representing foreign nations and/or foreign companies from Washington. Finally, we must start offering subsidies to grow emerging markets, like clean energy or medium to high-skilled manufacturing and technology.

What Bayllie wont admit to, which is right in the article is that the Democrat controlled Legislation could have easily overturned Romney's Veto like they Did 117 other times.

1) Romney could have NOT vetoed it but chose to veto it so since his signature is on the veto, it's still Romney's veto.

2) let's see. it's ok for Romney to blame the opposition party when he couldn't pass something (even though he chose to VETO thus agreeing with it but when the Party of NO sabotages everything, it's Obama's fault?

The Republicans vowed on the day of Obama's inauguration to do EVERYTHING to make Obama fail, and they kept the promise. They made it totally uphill for Obama - including the comatose economy they handed over from the Bush Administration. Romney couldn't make it in 2003-2007 even though the economy was good. Romney has one of the worst track records out of 50 governors - 47th to be exact. That's like a D-, and again, this was while things were good.

Unfortunately there are enough morons like you out there to parrot this BS to strike peoples emotions and scare them into voting for 0bama.

Everything you know and write is straight out of the DNC playbook of lies, unsubstantiated claims and lies of omission. The sad part is that the DNC has the national media eating from the palm of their hands, spreading fear with stories that are later found out to be complete BS.

"Willard Mitt Romney" is one of the most unaccomplished, yet, factual liars, ever to seek the office of President of the United States, and that is a fact.

No, I'm sorry....Barack Obama holds this title.

The idea of Obama pointing a finger at Romney for outsourcing is ridiculous. Look at all the stimulus money spent in China under Obama's watch. Look at his job czar and how many jobs GE has outsourced. Obama's superbuses he built for one carride from Iowa to Illinois were made in Canada. His appointee, Hilda Solis, the secretary of labor, drives a car built in Canada. Even Obama's campaign spent $4,600 with an outsourced telemarketing firm this year.

The idea that Democrats are blaming republicans for the rampant outsourcing of jobs is a complete joke. Clinton promoted and enacted NAFTA, and more damaging, supported admission of China to the World Trade Organization and agreed to all the WTO free trade treaties. That's what enabled the massive outsourcing of American jobs.

Mr. Obama: Did you include ALL the GE outsourced jobs in your ad ? Nah, that would be a slap in the face to your Jobs Czar (CEO GE).

How about yourself ? How many jobs were outsourced from your FAILED Stimulus package ?

Or, how about:

President Obama has of late criticized Mitt Romney, accusing him of “outsourcing” jobs while at the helm of Bain Capital. Vice Plagiarizer* Joe Biden even called Romney a “job creator in Singapore, India, China.” It’s a false charge, but coming from an administration that is putting our entire country deep in hock to the ChiComs, it’s more than a bit rich.

But the fact is, the Obama administration stands as rank hypocrites when it comes to outsourcing. Through an Air Force contract, the Obama regime has been trying its best to outsource important national security jobs to a foreign entity in Brazil that has ties to the Iranian government.

http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2012/06/27/why-is-obama-outsourcing-national-security-jobs/

How about California's Democrats giving the bridge building contract to China ?

Nah, "outsourcing" of jobs is another political agenda item. The more negative ads on the media, the more the Liberals will eat it up. Blame it on Romney but FAIL TO REPORT YOUR OWN ADMINISTRATION.

The electorate is smarter than what you think they are.

As a result, the share of GM’s sales in the U.S. market that will be imported from these countries will increase from 15.5% to 23.5%. I don't think either Obama or Romney are going to do much good for anybody but the corporations and the rich because those are the entities that are bank rolling their campaigns.

Here's the way it really is:

You know the Obama Reelection Team is worried when they have to begin telling lies this early. What is hard to believe is that they are so easily disproved. Of the five companies that the Washington Post and Obama Team used as proof of Bain Outsourcing two were acquired after Romney left Bain and the other three dramatically added US Jobs. This was provided to the Washington Post, who refused to retract the story.

Hey obama supporters I hope you will enjoy all the new taxes he is putting on you starting in 2013, if not directly from your wallet, then indirectly thru price increases on products, some even hurt the disabled. But do not worry he is going to take care of you. Give you free housing, foodstamps, welfare, medical care, and all you have to do is vote for him, set on your a**es and enjoy the good life.

Six months from now, in January 2013, five major ObamaCare taxes will come into force:

      1. The ObamaCare Medical Device Manufacturing Tax; This 2.3 percent tax on medical device makers will raise the price of (for example) every pacemaker, prosthetic limb, stent, and operating table. Can you remind us, Mr. President, how taxing medical devices will reduce the cost of health care? The tax is particularly destructive because it is levied on gross sales and even targets companies who haven’t turned a profit yet. These are often small, scrappy companies with less than 20 employees who pioneer the next generation of life-prolonging devices. In addition to raising the cost of health care, this $20 billion tax over the next ten years will not help the country’s jobs outlook, as the industry employs nearly 400,000 Americans. Several companies have already responded to the looming tax by cutting research and development budgets and laying off workers.

      2. The ObamaCare High Medical Bills Tax; This onerous tax provision will hit Americans facing the highest out-of-pocket medical bills. Currently, Americans are allowed to deduct medical expenses on their 1040 form to the extent the costs exceed 7.5 percent of one’s adjusted gross income. The new ObamaCare provision will raise that threshold to 10 percent, subjecting patients to a higher tax bill. This tax will hit pre-retirement seniors the hardest. Over the next ten years, affected Americans will pony up a minimum total of $15 billion in taxes thanks to this provision.

      3. The ObamaCare Flexible Spending Account Cap; The 24 million Americans who have Flexible Spending Accounts will face a new federally imposed $2,500 annual cap. These pre-tax accounts, which currently have no federal limit, are used to purchase everything from contact lenses to children’s braces. With the cost of braces being as high as $7,200, this tax provision will play an unwelcome role in everyday kitchen-table health care decisions. The cap will also affect families with special-needs children, whose tuition can be covered using FSA funds. Special-needs tuition can cost up to $14,000 per child per year. This cruel tax provision will limit the options available to such families, all so that the federal government can squeeze an additional $13 billion out of taxpayer pockets over the next ten years. The targeting of FSAs by President Obama and congressional Democrats is no accident. The progressive left has never been fond of the consumer-driven accounts, which serve as a small roadblock in their long-term drive for a one-size-fits-all government health care bureaucracy. For further proof, note the ObamaCare “medicine cabinet tax” which since 2011 has barred the 13.5 million Americans with Health Savings Accounts from purchasing over-the-counter medicines with pre-tax funds.

      4. The ObamaCare Surtax on Investment Income;Under current law, the capital gains tax rate for all Americans rises from 15 to 20 percent in 2013, while the top dividend rate rises from 15 to 39.6 percent. The new ObamaCare surtax takes the top capital gains rate to 23.8 percent and top dividend rate to 43.4 percent. The tax will take a minimum of $123 billion out of taxpayer pockets over the next ten years.

      And, last but not least...

      5. The ObamaCare Medicare Payroll Tax increase; This tax soaks employers to the tune of $86 billion over the next ten years. As you can understand, there is a reason why the authors of ObamaCare wrote the law in such a way that the most brutal tax increases take effect conveniently after the 2012 election. It’s the same reason President Obama, congressional Democrats, and the mainstream media conveniently neglect to mention these taxes and prefer that you simply “move on” after the Supreme Court ruling.

The bottom line, he said, was that the bill would cost his state and provide little or no benefit."

He intends to lower the welfare roles by reducing their numbers using birth control and abortion and will probably add mandatory sterilization. He intends to reduce the social security roles by the use of the Obamacare death panels. He intends to control the number of those that suffer from disabling illness by use of genetic screening.

The bushies wiped out 30% of stock market value.

Since Obama replaced bushie, the stock market is now at 12,943, a 63% gain since his term started.

Are you dumb enough to prefer a 30% loss over a 63% gain? And that gain is in less than 4 years. Once Obama is re-elected he may come close to providing the 236% gain realized under Clinton.

What part of Bush did better than Obama do you not understand.

where???? show me one thing that Bush did better than Obama and I will disprove you...

Three years after Clinton left Bush with a sabotaged economy ,

        wtf, are you talking about?????

rising unemployment and a 5.8 trillion dollar national debt

you are comparing what Bush inherited (low debt, low unemployment, smaller government, no wars, balanced budget) to what Obama inherited (2 unpaid wars, Bush debt + Bush debt interest, bigger government, deficit, finished off social security fund, growing unemployment, financial crisis, housing bubble bursting, etc) as Bush had it worse???????

who do you think racked up our high interest credit card? George W. Bush, and after GWB left the office we are still paying the interest on Bush loans and for the wars so yes, that adds to our spending.

not to mention a largely ignored national threat from Osama bin Laden, Bush had a growing economy and unemployment of 5.4%.

Bush had many warnings about Bin Laden but he decided to play a landscape boy at his ranch instead. He didn't give a flyin' f*ck about Bin Laden.

When you start at a 4% unemployment, 5.7% is actually increasing it especially since it was about 8% by the time he left office.

        http://www.bls.gov/opub/ted/2009/feb/wk2/art02.htm

The bad part is, these are all provable assertions. Romneycare has never created jobs, and in fact, has been providing support and assistance to those that destroy American jobs. He has had success when it comes to creating jobs in China and India, however, but I don't live there.

            Let's check your facts Realhope:

First, the Obama ad is true. From politifact:

Next, "Obamacare is . . . the largest tax increase in the history of the world."

Is rated a "pants on fire lie". http://www.politifact.com/

Erin lets see what your guy Romney said

ABC News' Michael Falcone pulls up video from a January 2008 Republican presidential primary debate in which Romney seems to think such a tax is pretty great. When the debate moderator asks, "Governor … you imposed tax penalties in Massachusetts?" Romney defends the mandate by framing it terms of personal responsibility. "Yes, we said, look, if people can afford to buy it, either buy the insurance or pay your own way," he said. "Don’t be free-riders."

Fact check.org has already proved that Obamas add was false. Simply not true. And yes he has a GREAT record of falure to run on. He pushed this horrible health care bill through with the largest tax increase on the middle class in recent history. He has got to be the sleaziest president in history.

Well, the ad does have a hint of truth. Romney did outsource jobs, although I am dubious on whether he supports tax cuts to outsourcing companies. But Obama does have a relatively great record. He achieved what no president has been able to do since Lyndon B. Johnson's introduction of Medicare; healthcare reform. The bill isn't that horrible; it slightly reduces increases in costs, expands the health insurance market to millions of Americans, and reduces the deficit at the same time. It isn't perfect, but it's a start. And secondly, the ACA does not contain the biggest tax increase in US history. In fact, it is in the middle of the pact compared to GDP, behind the Revenue Acts of 1950 and 51, the Bush tax increase of 1990, the Clinton tax increase of 1993, and lo and behold, the Reagan tax increase of 1982. So actually, Obama has enacted a moderate-sized tax increase, smaller than those enacted by Bush 41, Clinton, and the right-wing icon Ronald Reagan. Hmm, how interesting???

Check out the fact under Mitt Romney leadership in M.A

FACT: Under Gov. Romney, MA outsourced jobs in child support enforcement, food stamps, and unemployment insurance overseas.

FACT: In 2004, Gov. Romney vetoed a bill that would have banned state contractors from outsourcing state work overseas.

FACT: As governor, Romney signed a $160,000/month contract that used taxpayer money for a consumer call center in India.

Mitt Romney's top economic adviser Greg Mankiw said the "offshoring" of American jobs was a good thing. Now, we know why, under Romney leadership, M.A ranked 47th in 50 state in job creation.

98% of the American Public will not be affected by the mandate (and I do believe that would include the majority of the middle-class). The only ones who will be affected are those who can afford health insurance but elect not to purchase it. Those are the folks who feel they are either too young or simply think they have better things to spend their money on. They are also the ones who when they face a medical catastrophe, stick the rest of us with their unpaid bills through our insurance premiums. Sorry, I have no sympathy.

Maybe Bush shouldn't have gone to war twice and lowered taxes.

Maybe Bush should have paid for Medicare Part D, which is more expensive than Obamacare.

I love how Republicans pushed the economy off the cliff and try and saddle Obama with it.

Polls are very clear that Americans know which party got us into this mess.

Romney has yet to articulate how he would fix the economy, jobs, or the European situation.

He has yet to say what he would do with immigration and health care.

Romney is playing it safe and so far just presents as the "rubber stamp" for the Rove/Koch agenda.

dal - Let's see now.....unemployment rose to 10.2% last month

while Bush benefitted from increase of public sector's jobs, Obama's numbers are affected by the DECREASING public sector jobs.

            And the number was 8.2%

and every incumbent President that had an unemployment figure above 7 to 8% was bounced by the voters going all the way back to World War 2

unfortunately for us, Bush2 couldn't be bounced since it was his second term - and he did increase our unemployment from 4% to almost 8%, and growing.

By the way, did the unemployment stop increasing at a record pace just because Bush left the office or did it continue????

and now we have U.S. manufacturing which shrank in June for the first time in nearly three years, adding to signs that economic growth is weakening.

Coward Republicans could have voted on a bill that would have eliminated tax breaks for companies that offshore. But the coward Republicans filibustered the bill.

Production and exports declined, and the number of new orders plunged, according to a monthly report released Monday by the Institute for Supply Management.

Dude, have you heard of Europe - OUR #1 TRADING PARTNER????????Have you heard of global economy??? Have you heard of the fact that the U.S. is dependent on what is going on in the world?????

Europe faces a recession and manufacturing has slowed in big countries like China."

Well if people are frustrated and angry now, just elect Romney. Boy you haven't seen anything yet. To have Romney elected President would be a bigger disaster to the United States than the Great Depression. Let’s face the facts that he doesn’t have a record to run on, unless you want to count out-sourced/off-shored. Plus the fact that the man want reveal any of his for policy details.

This country has rarely elected a business man that was successful as President, and it doesn't look like we have a winner in Romney.

            Obama is constantly blaming anything
            and everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck;
I inherited this mess. It is embarrassing to see a president so
willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with
            his own incompetence.

But really, what were we to expect? The man has never been
responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act
            responsibly?

In short: our president is a small and small-minded man, with
neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job.

When you understand that, and only when you understand that, will
the current erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense. It could
not have gone otherwise with such a man in the Oval Office.

GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt, The Head Of Obama’s Jobs Council, Is Moving Jobs And
Economic Infrastructure To China At A Blistering Pace

Jeffrey Immelt, the head of Barack Obama's highly touted "Jobs Council", is
moving even more GE infrastructure to China. GE makes more medical-imaging
machines than anyone else in the world, and now GE has announced that it "is moving the headquarters of its 115-year-old X-ray business to
            Beijing
". Apparently, this is all part of a "plan to invest about $2
billion across China" over the next few years. But moving core pieces of its
business overseas is nothing new for GE. Under Immelt, GE has shipped tens of thousands of good jobs out of the United States.
Perhaps GE should change its slogan to "Imagination At Work (In China)". If the
very people that have been entrusted with solving the unemployment crisis are
shipping jobs out of the country, what hope is there that things are going to
            turn around any time soon?

And who decides what's best, you? The stock market has nearly doubled since Obama took office, corporate profits last quarter were the highest in U.S. history, companies created hundreds of thousands of new jobs and most of the leadership of Al Qaeda have been eliminated. The housing market has bottomed out and home values are climbing again.

Still, there are blind partisans who refer to the last 3 years as "failure" and who think a corporate raider who outsourced American jobs to Asia can do even better. Romney can't even acknowledge his most successful accomplishment as governor -- health care reform. Since 2006, health insurance premiums in Massachusetts have gone down by 50%, while premiums went up for the rest of the country. The number of uninsured in Massachusetts went down by 2/3, while the number of uninsured increased in the rest of the country. And yet, the guy who wears magic underwear and believes in millions of gods has the audacity to say that his biggest political achievement was "immoral."

First of all he was only elected to the US Senate once, and he never completed that term. He started his US Senate term in January of 2005 and announced his bid for President on February 10, 2007. He was elected to the Illinois Senate after the Democrats regained the senate through redistricting, and Obama had his opponents kicked off the ballots by objecting to signatures. You can look all that up yourself. He was only elected to the Illinois Senate 3 times.

Let me modify your post a bit and see what kind of answers you can give.

                  1. What isObama's plan to stimulate job growth beyond hyper trickle down economics?

                  2. What isObama's plan to reform immigration?

                  3. What is Obama's plan to prevent Iran from obtaining "the bomb"?

                  4. Since he no longer likes his Massachusetts plan, what is Romney's plan if he succeeds in repealing the Affordable Healthcare Act?....I guess I have to give you this one.

                  5. In fact, beyond giving tax breaks to corporations and his wealthy friends...what plan does he have?

Looks like the Rope A Dope philosophy is working well for the challenger! He's not even the nominee yet :)

Meanwhile in the new world under the guidance of our president, Mr. Obama.......

Islamists attacked historic and religious landmarks in the city of Timbuktu for a third day, breaking down the door to a 15th century mosque…

Syrian intelligence agencies are running torture centers where detainees are beaten with batons and cables, burned with acid, sexually assaulted and their fingernails torn out…

The buildup carries significant risks, including that Iran’s powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps could decide to lash out against the increased presence…..

Muslim Brotherhood takes over control of Egypt.......

                      Romney knows religion

The Mormon Church has bragged the Book of Mormon is “the most correct book on the face of the earth”. Those words were uttered for the first time by none other than Joseph Smith himself on Sunday, October 28, 1841.

I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.

Romney knows that as long as he keeps wearing that magic underwear, he too will become a god in the afterlife and have his own planet to rule, just like all those devout Mormons who came before him.

A Romney Presidenery would be a BANE for America!!!!!!!!!!

                          Bane

                          1. a person or thing that ruins or spoils: Gambling was the bane of his existence.

                          2. a deadly poison (often used in combination, as in the names of poisonous plants): wolfsbane; henbane.

                          3. death; destruction; ruin.

                          4. Obsolete . that which causes death or destroys life: entrapped and drowned beneath the watery bane.

Can the message be any clearer?

The tighty whitey crowd can still dream about having a real candidate, but Romneycare has already bought and paid for the nomination. You're stuck with Magic Underpants. LOL

The fact is, Romney has a dismal record of creating jobs. He himself has had two. Bain, which he helped found with his dad's money, and the Governor of Massachusetts, where he came in #47 out of 50. Yeah, he is a job creation machine, all right!

This tight one is starting to open up a little bit more in favor of Obama. So, my current Projection: (Currently the states that will continue to play the biggest in November are Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, and Florida and Wisconsin. For now these states are remaining in the toss up status, while leaning toward Obama. However, if the election were held today, Obama would win the general.

The key months for this race are going to be September and October. And as far as the debates, Romney most likely will have a problem in this area, along with his lack of availability to the press/media.

For now, the new projected election out come totals are:

                                Projected Winner Obama 293

                                Projected Loser Romney 244

Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack
Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, the result of a
baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of
                                the Middle Ages.

How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional
accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the
world's largest economy, direct the world's most powerful military,
execute the world's most consequential job? Imagine a future
historian examining Obama's pre-presidential life: ushered into
and through the Ivy League despite unremarkable grades and test
                                scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a "community organizer";
a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative
achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, so often
did he vote "present") ; and finally an unaccomplished single term
in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to
                                his presidential ambitions.

He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature
legislation as a legislator. And then there is the matter of his
                                troubling associations: the white-hating, America-loathing
preacher who for decades served as Obama's "spiritual mentor"; a
real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama's colleague and
political sponsor. It is easy to imagine a future historian
looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected
                                president?

Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz
addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal: To be
sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an
outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant
terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But
because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of
Liberaldom to have hung out with protesters against various
American injustices, even if they were a bit extreme, he was given
a pass. Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass - held to a lower
standard - because of the color of his skin.

I find it ironic and very hypocritical of the President, he says that Romney is an outsourcer but Obama's largest donor George Soros of General Electric is the outsourcing KING! Liberals, if it weren"t for double standards, they wouldn't have any!

Job Growth under President Obama is up, considering that Bush allowed Bain Capital and Romney to outsource jobs in an effort to improve profits for Wall Street. President Obama was saddled with the largest Wall Street Banking Failure since the Great Depression, which was created by Bush and Paulson as they removed most banking regulations. President Obama gave the order to find and kill bin Laden, something Bush was unable to deliver on. Bush wanted a national healthcare plan, but the House and Senate Republicans beat him down, so President Obama delivered on the need for healthcare for everyone. Come to think about it, the ACA is identical to the plan signed into law by Mitt Romney up in Massachusetts, with penalties that are attached to Massachusetts Resident's Tax Bill. All in all, Romney and the Republican care more about the wealthy folks than the folks who are trying to make it in the Outsourcing World of the Republicans. It is all about profits, not jobs. Ask a Mormon what the LDS Church did to African Americans, or just visit your local library.

The obama legacy is the highest deficit in History - the highest unemployment in History - the highest number of people on welfare in History - the healthcare debacle and amnesty for the new breed of democratic welfare recipients.

In 2008, many who agreed that he
lacked executive qualifications nonetheless raved about Obama's
oratory skills, intellect, and cool character. Those people -
conservatives included - ought now to be deeply embarrassed.

The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of cliche’s, and that's
when he has his teleprompter in front of him; when the prompter is
absent he can barely think or speak at all.

Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth – it's all
warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over
                                            again for 100 years.

And what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming anything
                                            and everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck;
I inherited this mess. It is embarrassing to see a president so
willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with
                                            his own incompetence.

But really, what were we to expect? The man has never been
responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act
                                            responsibly?

In short: our president is a small and small-minded man, with
neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job.

Now it is up to us Freedom-loving Americans to see to it that he is voted out after his FIRST term. May God bless America again. Stay safe, and be aware of your surroundings.

Deport-Watch out, liberals don't like facts. They cheat the system, lie to their "followers" and lay down for Democrats because they think, in the end, they'll get something out of it. They remind me of the guy on the corner but their sign reads "I want a handout, not a hand up".

I have seen this list posted so many times here, it's pathetic. It's a right-wing chain e-mail that has been circulating around the internet.

Anyone with an iota of intelligence would stop after number 2 on the list:

First President to have a social security number from a state he has never lived in.

Next time, Instead of cut -n- pasting somthing that your idiot brother in law sent you via e-mail, develope those critical thinking skills and you wont look like such a moron.

This is a big lie but the amazing thing is that our national news media doesn't research, question or otherwise "do their job" when it comes to things the Obama campaign says. Bain Capital invested in companies in an effort to restore them to profitability which, in most cases, was successful and saved thousands of American jobs. The facts are out there but the media doesn't want to look at them.

“Technology companies, in particular, have increasingly sought to outsource the business processes involved in their supply chains,” the filing said. “. . . We offer a range of services that provide our clients with a one-stop shop for their outsource requirements.”

It isnt Bain that is doing the outsourcing its companies like Microsoft, IBM, etc. Bain just provided the services. Those companies were going to outsource anyways whether it was Bain or some other company they used to help them do it.

Modus Media grew rapidly. In December 1997, it announced it had contracted with Microsoft to produce software and training products at a center in Australia. Modus Media said it was already serving Microsoft from Asian locations in Singapore, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan and in Europe and the United States.

Two years later, Modus Media told the SEC it was performing outsource packaging and hardware assembly for IBM, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard Co. and Dell Computer Corp. The filing disclosed that Modus had operations on four continents, including Asian facilities in Singapore, Taiwan, China and South Korea, and European facilities in Ireland and France, and a center in Australia.

"Yes, we said, look, if people can afford to buy it, either buy the insurance or pay your own way," he said. "Don’t be free-riders."

Isn't that what I said that at least Romney admits its a Tax instead of trying to perpetuate a lie?

                                                                    #24.5 - Tue Jul 3, 2012 11:20 PM EDT

A tax? I guess technically. If I owe more in taxes because I can't write off dependents does that mean I'm being taxed for not having children? I guess technically I am if I look at it through right-wing glasses.

The fact is our for profit health care system is broken. We pay around 17 percent of our GDP for less service. Compare that around the world and see that there is a huge problem that needs to be addressed.

And sorry, a republican health voucher program is ridiculous.

The Washington Post and several other "main stream" news outlets have already debunked this ad from Obama. The leftwing media knows it's a lie but they aren't saying anything. I am starting to believe liberals are related to sheep, they are dumb, they follow the herd and when it comes to common sense, they have none. Voting for Obama in November will be the demise of our nation.

Are you better off now than when Obama took office? He11 yes, by a long shot! My 401k has more than doubled, my company stopped laying people off and actually started hiring again because business conditions improved, my young adult children still have health insurance and the value of my home has finally started increasing.

Tell me, why would I even think about voting for a guy who says everything this president has done was wrong and that he, Romney, would completely change direction? Really? Life is good, business is up, stocks are up, and I'm supposed to take a gamble that Romney's new direction can make things even better than they already are?

No thanks, I'll pass on the empty Romney promises and give my support to 4 more years of policies that took us from the edge of global economic depression to a pretty comfortable position.
