Video: Rubio calls GOP the ‘pro-legal immigration’ party

Sen. Marco Rubio explains why immigration is a key focus in the 2012 presidential campaign.

In 1918, my grandfather immigrated to the United States from Scotland, LEGALLY. My grandmother-in-law immigrated to the United States from Italy, LEGALLY. Republicans have nothing against legal immigration. That is what has made this country great. Knowing that you could come here, work hard and make something of yourself. Most of you that applaud President Obama's latest move would have a fit if someone cut in the line at the grocery store, so why do you not understand how someone who has been waiting to come here legally would feel when they must wait longer because of those who have been rewarded for violating the law? How can you expect people to respect our laws when they broke the law to enter? If someone broke into your house would you not expect that they intend to take something?

NO, no more aliens until unemployment rate is 5%. Send them home to improve their own country. NO aid to countries with illegals here. Use money to round 'em up and head 'em out.

Senate Republicans filibustered the immigration reform bill which had been passed by the House and had 55/45 majority support in the Senate. Reform? The Republican lie right now is that the president has done nothing about immigration reform. They also lied the same way about administration budgets and job creation legislation. Nowhere in the Constitution is there provision for the use of obstrut-and-lie politics in Congress. In fact, Republicans have been lying for three years about the Affordable Health Care Act, which they failed to obstruct.
