Ron Paul is not age appropriate. Yes, at age 78 Ron Paul is TOO OLD to become POTUS. If Ron Paul was 55 or 60, Mr. Obama would have a very serious contender.

Realize that Ron Paul is at least as fit as Gingrich and McCain, if not more fit. And let's not forget the media blackout and rigged elections that prevented him from winning the popular vote in many states.

Though he may pop up on that internet party (I forget the name) and run as an independent, this will siphon a few nutcase votes from Romney, and insure an Obama win. Similar to what Nader did to Gore but likely on a larger scale.

He's getting delegates, and that's what matters. If Romney ends up getting the nomination, Dr. Paul is still set to give speeches at the convention since he's won at least 5 states in terms of delegate count. He'll cause quite a stir, which would force Romney to modify his own platform if he wins--and that's a big if.

Santorum now has to add 'hypocrite' to his resume. He clearly stated that Romney would make a terrible president. He told us earlier that we might as well re-elect Barack Obama to a second term.

That's an excellent post. I couldn't agree more. The contrast between the 2 major candidates is stark, Obama and Romney. Romney lies every time he opens his mouth. He lies about his record as governor of Mass. and about his business record he is an incredible hybrid of predator and parasite in business. I believe that Obama, on the other hand, has excellent character and intentions but I have considerable reservations about his judgement,I.E. keeping Geithner on when he should be horsewhipped for being a Goldman tool, extending our commitment to an Afghan druglord for 12 years. I struggle trying to figure out how someone as smart as Obama can do some of these things.I would sooner lobotomize myself than vote for Romney but it's hard to see a logical direction. What Ron Paul is doing by going to the conventions to pull voters from other candidates may be legal, but it is destroying the concept of a representative democracy.

I've written this many times out of concern, but here it is one more time.

What Ron Paul is doing is instead of campaigning for the popular vote, i.e. the popular consent of the majority, he found another way to win over the will of the people.

He has been consistently working in each state to get a majority of delegates selected as the delegates who are loyal to him. He has done this in the hopes that regardless of how the delegates are supposed to be pledged to follow the popular vote, that they will vote for him instead of their whom they are pledged to vote for in either the state convention or the national convention.

This is called usurping and UNACCEPTABLE and no better than Barak Obama appointing czar and seeking ways to circumvent duly congressionally passed laws.

If you really care about America, you don't accept either, regardless how right they are about one or two of your pet issues. This is the wrong way to do things and decreases the value of people's votes (voices).

Paul supporters are to be lauded for their vehemence and passion, but I can only shake my head at their inability to see facts.

Paul did indeed win the Maine caucus with 21 out of 24 delegate seats (after Romney won a non-binding caucus there in February) and he did win a majority of delegate seats in Nevada. There, however, the February caucus WAS binding and those delegate seats won by Paul supporters are still obliged to cast their votes for Romney. So nothing was really won there at all except a sort of moral victory. As it stands, Ron Paul still only has 90+ delegate that WILL vote for him at the Convention while Mitt has almost 10 times that many.

It's possible Paul can thwart Romney's march to 1144 that he needs to win outright before the election. There is, however, no way Paul can approach that number.

At best Paul can hope to influence the platform and have significant air time at the convention. Beyond that, not much is going on there for him.

Ron Paul CAN win, and Romney doesn't have anywhere near the number of delegates that he needs. It's not too late for Paul to win. And while I don't believe Obama has that many shady corporate connections, he did sign the nasty NDAA and both him and Romney are sponsored by Goldman Sachs. Since Romney's views change on a whim and he's often been called a "moderate", I'd say he's like a greedy version of Obama that's much worse.

It's time for government to get out of our private lives. The government should only do what the people aren't capable of doing effectively themselves, and no more. This is precisely why you vote for Ron Paul--if he wins things might get better, if Obama wins things won't get better, and if Romney wins things will get worse. Romney's there for his corporate buddies and to him, getting the economy out of the toilet is the same as ensuring his friends keep getting richer.

If RP was such a "great leader," then he would have been much more effective in Congress. He's a total failure, and his policies will be even worse than those of the rest of the GOP/TP. What is not being covered is that Romney hired one of Santorum's staff. I think the other thing not being considered is that Romney might not want to appear with Santorum yet.

The other thing is IF people read what was going on inside the Santorum campaign, getting a news conference was unlikely because the press really wasn't paying attention in the first place.

Remember, Santorum also had endorsed Romney in 2008. He took a lot of heat for that, so he may not be so interested in being as mainstream and appearing again to be compromising.

Will he be Romney's VP Pick - unlikely to no, but the same thing was said about Bush 41 and Reagan. People thought Reagan was nuts for selecting his bitter rival".

When Romney became the director for the Utah Olympics, one thing he could not do was fire one person in particular. Romney, not only did not remove the person, but put them in a spot that was useful to the success of the Olympics.

The bottom line is - you got to wait until Romney decides what he wants to do.

I have to take issue with Traffic. Our government is not hated throughout the world. On the contrary, I think it is for the most part, admired. There are, and this may be what you are referring to, times when the administration in charge is hated throughout the world. Reagan was hate, Bush 1 was tolerated, but Clinton restored the world's respect, until Bush 2 turned the entire world's sympathy after 9/11 into the entire world's disgust with the US by invading Iraq.

But throughout this all, I think the world knows our government is the best of all, even though, they are confused by the crap the Tea Party spews. Basically, the world knows what out Constitution represents and the Tea Party doesn't. But, that difficulty is the very nature of our democracy. Progress can be difficult, but is inevitable.

Dem leaders pushed for home ownership for all, they forced home loan requirements down to allow anyone who wanted a home to get one.

Over regulation, taxes, fees etc ran business & jobs out of the US.

In Obama's 1st 2 years dems where so busy spending money on every pet project they ever wanted, they could not slow down to make a budget. Now the democrat senate will not even consider a budget, not wanting Americans to see the path they have chosen to be on.

We need a government that is business friendly, not one that seeks more regulations for the sake of control & talks about more ways to tax any money they see.

Santorum would be good for that is Bob Mcdonnell gets the pick for VP. If Bob "what separation?"
