Mitt Romney and his wife Ann celebrate their victory in the Illinois GOP primary at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel on Tuesday.
Updated at 6:44 a.m. ET – Mitt Romney won the Illinois Republican primary with ease on Tuesday night, allowing him to grow his delegate advantage over his rivals in the fight for the party's presidential nomination.
The primary had offered Republicans maybe their best chance yet of a genuine one-on-one battle between the former Massachusetts governor and Rick Santorum, his chief competitor for the nod.
"Elections are about choices. And today, hundreds of thousands of people in Illinois have joined millions of people across the country to join our cause," Romney told a throng of supporters in the Chicago suburb of Schaumburg.
As a result of the Illinois vote, Romney's delegate tally rose, though the state-wide popular vote had no technical bearing on the eventual allocation of delegates.
In Illinois, voters elect delegates separately on candidates' behalf.
A total of 54 delegates were at stake on Tuesday, and NBC News projected as of 6:30 a.m. ET that 41 went to Romney and 10 to Santorum.
Check out NBC's Decision 2012 delegate tally here
Still, the primary, held in President Barack Obama's adopted home state (typically a Democratic stronghold in the general election), gave Romney a chance to further his campaign's case that he is the inevitable Republican nominee. He achieved his victory with a similar coalition of voters that had tended to support him in previous caucuses and primaries.
Romney show signs of strength as Republicans begin to coalesce
The ex-governor ran better with more affluent and educated voters, as well as moderates and voters who described themselves as "somewhat" conservative. Thirty-five percent of primary voters said in exit polls that a candidate's ability to beat Obama was most important to them; Romney won 71 percent of those voters to Santorum's 17 percent. Similarly, 58 percent of primary voters said the economy was their top issue, and Romney bested Santorum among those voters by a 17-point margin.

Santorum continued to outperform Romney among downscale and less educated voters, along with the most conservative Republicans and evangelical Christians.
'We don't need a manager'
He emphasized his ideological steadiness versus Romney in remarks on Tuesday evening, deriding Romney by implication as a timid manager of the status quo.
"This is an election about fundamental and foundational things," he said from Pennsylvania. "This is not about who's the best person to manage Washington. We don't need a manager."
The difference in Tuesday's primary was that these voters made up a smaller share of the electorate than in states like Mississippi and Alabama -- the conservative hotbeds Santorum won last week.
First Read: Illinois isn't Alabama or Mississippi
Despite Romney's victory, the Republican race appeared poised to stretch on at least weeks longer. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has shown no willingness to leave the race, and Santorum's campaign has circulated its delegate math, which focuses on halting Romney's march to gather the 1,144 delegates needed to secure the nomination.
This would spark a contested convention when Republicans meet to formally make their nomination in August.
Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has focused almost exclusively on President Barack Obama in recent days instead of the other GOP candidates. NBC's Peter Alexander reports.
According to NBC News projections early Wednesday, Romney had won 485 delegates. Santorum had accrued 193 delegates, while Gingrich had won 137 and Paul had received 34.
The Santorum campaign made its case to reporters on Tuesday why 1,144 was still an attainable goal for the former senator, though he would have to perform especially well in future contests in order to best Romney.
For Santorum, the Illinois primary had meant an opportunity to again upset Romney in a Midwestern nominating contest the frontrunner had been expected to win. Santorum battled the former Massachusetts governor closely in both Ohio and Michigan, but Romney's superior campaign organization and finances -- combined with millions in ads bought by a supportive super PAC -- ultimately carried the day.

Mitt Romney holds a town hall meeting at Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville, Ill., on March 17.
But Romney started to pivot toward his general election target -- President Obama -- in his victory remarks on Tuesday evening. He only referenced his Republican challengers so as to congratulate them on a hard-fought campaign. He used the rest of his speech to test themes of his argument against the president.
"This election will be about principle. Our economic freedom will be on the ballot," he said. "I'm running for president because I have the experience and vision to get us out of this mess."
Romney was able to carry momentum into Tuesday's contest resulting from a commanding victory in last Sunday's Puerto Rico primary, which not only won him 20 delegates, but also raised questions about the prudence of Santorum's decision to campaign in the territory -- an expensive commitment which won him no delegates, and only a small share of the popular vote.
Andrea Saul, press secretary for the Romney campaign, previews Tuesday's primary and talks about the delegate tally.
Organizational issues that had dogged Santorum in Ohio's primary also re-appeared in Illinois, where he failed to file the required delegate slates in four congressional districts, meaning he was ineligible to win 10 delegates.
The campaign turns next to Saturday's caucuses in Louisiana. Gingrich, who again vowed to fight onward to Republicans' convention in Tampa this August, spent the day in Louisiana. Santorum also heads next to Louisiana.
The next batch of contests are on April 3 in Wisconsin, Maryland and Washington, D.C.

The guy that dosent't care about the poor
Vs.
The guy that doesn't care about the unemployed
Vs.
The guy that doesn't care about his marriage vows
Vs.
The guy that doesn't care about foreign policy
Well, Jimmy-crack-corn, I don't care about them either
At least the GOP message is consistent: THEY DON'T CARE
And Romney has nothing but "the math" to win on. Certainly not a message of substance, conviction, or real solutions. Did you see Romney and Santorum respond to questions about Afghanistan? Really lame -- These guys are not remotely ready for prime time.
all Vs the guy who don't have a clue about anything. Can't set up a budget, can't speak without a written speech. A guy who has no clue about anything and his trolls who back him.
Romney is a spoiled little rich kid that has always believed he is ENTITLED to be President. This guy is SO wrong for America words simply can't describe how wrong. Just the fact that he's trying to buy the presidency say's it all.
Obama hates America!
I assume you don't care about Foreign policy as you think Strength through peace, being a economic powerhouse, and Freedom is the right route? Those are the things Ron Paul is for, liberty always wins at the end of the fight! Said another way, Ron Paul 2012!
Lolz.....What a disaster this primary is for the GOP........Just a bunch of right wing chumps/moderate liberals....Romney is the moderate liberal ofc......Just a LOLZ....Every time I read an article on these guys I shake my head.......The corporate raider should have a better understanding of how to be political and Santorum....Well he is off his rocker....Lost the female vote for sure....Ron Paul.....Like some thing dislike some things.....and Gingrich....Well he is a chump.....being vindictive and hateful....He loses just on quality of lack of morale fiber.
OBAMA 2012 - How could you vote for anyone else?
the ignorance of some people is Amazing
you my friend just proved his point
its a sad thing to see
As opposed to Obama who doesn't have a clue about anything.
Doesn't know how to balance a budget, doesn't have a clue about any basic economic principles and never ran any business before.
No thank you. I'll choose Romney any day over the false Messiah.
I would take Charles Manson over barry hueinsane bin laden obammy
Anybody tired of these clowns being in the news over and over and over again?
MSNBC needs to let FAUXDUMB News do this, there's better news out there than a couple of Teabaggin Repubs and a Texas clown....
If tired of this, give me a vote to acknowledge the middle finger for these 4 clowns....
Let's see how many fingers they get folks...send em a message they'll never forget
No mooning, that's illegal...
Anybody tired of the libtards with their heads so far up obammys bunghole they can't think on their own?
Wasn't supposed to be double, oh well.
Honor simply no longer resides in the GOP. Sad.
Cassandra, charter schools aren't new, they were previously ignored by the left. They are better than public schools, but not near as good as the private schools, especially that catholic and protestant schools who give that high a quality of education on 1/2 - 2/3's the cost of public and charter schools.
The voters don't care either. they are staying at home. Look at the numbers. Less then 20% republican turn out.
Cassandra, your canned list attempts to falsely convince us that: A) Obama, all by himself, was the author, architect, salesman, and administrator of these projects. B) All of the above are actually desirable, that they all are under the auspices of the Constitution and therefore the Federal Government. C) Much of these "accomplishments" are so much PR cronyism, i.e., The Nobel Peace Prize....really?
Not impressed...
Cassandra you forgot your hero is the one who will take 682 billion dollars from a program for senior healthcare that is already going bankrupt to provide healthcare for those not covered now. Your democratic controlled executive department is the one who removed money from a joint program to treat and screen womens health because the state has an anti-abortion amendment. They then put this out as the state removed the money they did not and we will find a way to cover our own people. bullying tactics do not work here.
The media won't show any projections of who all the unbound delegates will vote for? Nor will the show any projections of who will win a brokered convention when all bound delegates become unbound? projection projection projection of everything but what matters the most.
obama lovers want to make this contest more that it is to reelect the teleprompter in chief. HA HA Romney is gonna win and in the fall OBAMA can take his teleprompter and his lazy a ss and go live in haiti .
Yeah! A bunch of hedge fund dudes putting a lot of money out there. To discredit our President. Trolls are going down. We're not stupid...unlike you fox news enthusiasts. Get facts.
Unfortunately, the Republicans designed this to drag out far too long by changing the rules from 2008, eliminating several 'winner take all' votes that would have largely settled the issue by now.
Romney will be the nominee, but they could be using this time to beat up Obama on his miserable record instead of beating up on each other.
Rick Santorum is traveling here FROM THE PAST. Let's send him back to the 18th Century where he will be a lot happier.
We are tired of listening to his BS. PLEASE after listening to the whole bunch of GOP clowns...WE ARE TIRED.
Vote DEMOCRAT!
I wonder if the mainstream media will call Romney a "weak candidate" thru the entire primary, thru the entire general election, thru his entire first term, thru his entire presidency, thru the entire time spent on his presidential memoir?
For a weak candidate he sure seems pretty successful to me.
ROMNEY 2012
Judging from the "quality" of the posts by the remaining right-wing bloggers, I think all that's left are country bumpkins.
Obammy? Really?
Obama hates America?
RIP GOP -- the only remaining supporters are just angry old white rural kinfolk (and billionaires that are taking advantage of their ignorance and hatred of "that man")
kudos for illinois!!!!!!
Sent Santorum packing....so long moron! go watch some porn...loser...that will make you feel better.
RIP GOP -- the only remaining supporters are just angry old white rural kinfolk (and billionaires that are taking advantage of their ignorance and hatred of "that man")
And the only remaining supporters of Obama are the dudes that Alexandra Pelosi caught on video out in front of the welfare office looking for their "Obama Money".
The national nightmare is soon over!
And the Nominee is: Mitt Romney for the GOP. I wish this would have gone on longer, so I don't have to deal with the political ads until the summer or so.
Rob, as usual, is describing the landscape in his dark, fragile fantasy world. The most recent polls clearly show President Obama continuing to lead the GOP's favorite losers, despite the hilarious fact these characters have been campaigning hard for the last three or four months. In the process, they have been squandering tens of millions of dollars from their rapidly depleting war chests to finance this debacle. The "winner" of this embarrassing poop-fight-at-the-monkey-house will emerge as a laughingstock, with his reputation in tatters, his campaign organization in shambles, and his campaign's bank account severely depleted. President Obama, in contrast, has yet to campaign in earnest and he face the GOP's #1 loser fully funded, with a motivated and intact campaign organization, and backed by all of the major voter blocs the GOP has managed to frighten, offend, and/or alienate: women, minorities, union workers, and moderates.
The only question that remains is not whether President Obama will win in November, but by how wide a margin.
President Obama by default in November! There is no other choice!
While I would personally love to watch a Santorum/Obama debate and would also love the ensuing landslide election, I am grateful to see people in a sensible state like Illinois reject him. It restores some faith in the intellectual capabilities of my fellow citizens. This is not to say that I have any confidence in Mitt Romney or the disastrous place I think he would take us, but, I do believe that he is cognitively tracking normally.
Ah, Michael Thompson is back. After so blithely promising democratic gains at this point in 2010, you think you'd learn that your crystal ball is slightly blurred.
Ah, but you are using science! The result of polls!
Well, here are some polls for you to peruse

Reagan won in an electoral landslide- and ten percentage points in the popular vote.
I'm thinking Romney does the same. I'm pretty sure mine is the stringer position.
I was, after all, the prognosticator who predicted the Republicans would take back the House.
Paul Ryan's budget gets rid of:
Medicare as it exist now
Medicaid coverage for the elderly and disabled
Healthcare coverage for 30 million Americans
Paul Ryan's budget plan cuts:
food stamps
housing assistance
farm subsidies
federal workers
science programs
education services
prisons
border control
student loans
FEMA
unemployment insurance
IRS
FBI
Paul Ryan's budget provides:
Corporations and the Wealthy GET
3 trillion dollars in TAX CUTS
Obama's got my vote again in November
Hi, rob! I support Obama and I receive no "Obama money". I'm living evidence that is contrary to your assertion. I also don't believe that you're "angry old white rural kinfolk".
That being said, I've voted for Republicans during every election in which I've voted. During G.W. Bush's second term, I realized the GOP that I loved and supported for many years was a broken vessel. No matter how many good people were poured in, they oozed through the cracks and turned sour when exposed to air.
Then this Tea Party thing happened. What started as a genuine grassroots movement for changing the status quo became a hijacked circus of screaming, quasi-racist troglodytes trying to force their ideals upon me. They want freedom, as long as they get to define it for everyone else. Since this is not in line with my own ideals, I chose to think for myself and abandon the party (as have many others).
You've been duped, my friend. I'm not an imbecile and I refuse to think that you're an imbecile, as well. When you do nothing but repeat the same rhetoric and buzzwords that your entire party parades around without adding any substance, you stop being a sentient human; you become a drone. Programmable, malleable and expendable, you've become nothing more than a fleshy advertisement for another's ideology. You will be discarded and forgotten about as soon as the second week of November.
This is not the way things should be and, somewhere deep down inside, you must know this to be true. Many of us are now waking up, rob. I complacently stood by and watched my party get hijacked, raped and dismantled for decades. The Reagan-era dream is over and we're to blame for allowing this abomination to happen to our party. Do you have the fortitude, or even the will, to open your eyes?
He can win all he likes and hopes to... (inside his head) But he will never win against president Obama... As far as morals goes, Romney has none... As far as women's rights, Romney could care less... As far as being the smartest person in the room, compared to the president? Willard, you lose...
This country is finally back on track after years of the republican party putting everything on the credit card... To Hell with the Tea party Idiots... In my opinion they are nothing but a bunch of ding bat's... This country needs another four more years of president Obama at the helm in order for him to be able to finish the job we asked him to do...
Uh, Terry? Romney was one of only 15 people to graduate from Harvard with dual degrees- an MBA and JD- earned simutaneously.
With highest honors.
So few people who were accepted into the dual program graduated, it was dropped. Turned out, there weren't many smart enough to carry both loads.
You'll need a new talking point.
Mittens Rob-us-blind Flip Flop, the 1%'er actually 0.006% CORPERTE RAIDER and one time governor of Liberal Mass but now he is an arch conservative. Has supported Abortion, Gay Rights, Gun Control, Stem Cell Research and has reverse himself on all of these issues.
He took both sides on the financial bailout, the stimulus bill, the auto loan package;
His biggest Flip-Flop of all Health Care Reform The national Law is modeled on the one that he championed as governor in Mass that requires every citizen to have health insurance. Now he has Flipped-Flopped. Mr. Flop has taken a hard slide to the right pandering and boot licking to the tea party.
Mitt Flip-Flop Rob-us-blind, a wishy-washy, flip flopping spineless politician without any core convictions, principals or believes a man who will say or do anything to get elected telling one crowd one thing and another crowd another. You simply can’t trust this guy to tell you the truth.
The only good thing that would happen if Flip-Flop were to get elected It would prove that Conservatism is dead as Flip-Flop would stab the Conservatives in the back.
Mitt Flip Flop Romney LMAO
obumbo is such a disaster that about anyone could beat him. Looks like Mitt get's the honor!!
As opposed to Barry, who can only apologize? WHO is LAME???????
If Romney wins the GOP Presidential run for his party, running against Obama, it is going to be a "hair splitting" race..
Ron Paul, Gingrich and Santorum should step aside gracefully, and let the Campaign begin.
FedupwithFed
Barry? Really?
As for the content of you argument, you would rather have a tough cowboy like Bush in control?
Look how well the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are going.
Go get' em cowboy was, is and will always be the wrong posture for the USA.
It is 2012. The South lost the war. Lean forward.
Folks! Why argue so incessantly? Why curse the masses that have a different political philosophy? The Bible, whether you believe it or not, was correct that the love between neighbors will cool off. Why not try humility and kindness now? We are all brothers, are we not? I have lived long, and well so far. What I have observed myself is that partisanship doesn't accomplish much. If a ship is sinking, grab a bucket and bail it out-- what good is it for half the crew to bail water out, when the other half uses their bucket to bring more water into the ship? The other thing I feel confident about, is that no matter who is in charge, the ultimate end result will be the same: dust. As all mighty powers have failed in the past, all will fail in the future. Those who focus on the here and now, finds out that the here went there, and the now turns to then. Look at the long term, and realize that we are all short lived. Think more about the eternity, then about the moment.
These words are brought to you by Stride(R), the worlds longest lasting gum.
Sensible state? Illinois? The armpit of political corruption? LOLZ!!
Laura, I was talking about the voters of the state who apparently have the sense not to waste votes on Rick Santorum at least and at best, see that he is totally unacceptable as a leader. There have been some nasty politicians in the state that's for sure.
It seems unfair that democrats will hear some soundbite they can take out of context, and trumpet that as if it were the whole truth. Such as Mitt likes to fire people! I observe, if Mitt says things which are more reasonable and believable, that will be disbelieved by the left! But the more unreasonable he sounds, the more the other side will trumpet that as the truth! Make hyperbole the truth, and the truth a lie! Ah, its all such a game of cowards. Too afraid of the truth. Those who criticize President Obama are the same. Politics is such a nasty business. That is why I will stick to drug gangs. More honor there.
BigAl Las Vegas Comment collapsed by the community (rightly so)
A "spoiled rich kid"? So that makes Obama what???
WILLard ROBME cannot even win 50% of the rightwing vote, and look at the low turnout. this tells me what everybody all ready knows, the rightwingers aren't happy with their candidates, and more than half don't want WILLard ROBME. If WILLard can't get 50%of the rightwing vote, how is he going to get more than 50% of all american votes? i guess thats why most rightwingers on the comment boards only personally attack president obama and have nothing good to say about their own candidates. pay attention to the comments from the rightwingers, only about one comment in fifty actually cheers one of the rethuglicon candidates.
We can….I agree! Look how well the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are going….and who is at the helm???
Fed Up
If he pulled out as he should you would say he was weak and a muslim. What you say doesn't matter.
Liberals are clowns banned, rereg of multiple accounter Akh1.
1.12 deleted, Cassandra, who knew? copypasting a chain email. Don't plagiarize.
The Republican Party used to stand for fiscal responsibility, but following the 2000 election, a Republican House, Senate, and President deliberately turned a federal budget surplus into a deficit, handing out over $1,000,000 in welfare to EVERY wealthy family in America, and more thena doubling the national debt while doing so.
What was once the Party of Lincoln, has since then begun campaigning by pandering to bigotry and hatred of gays, women, African Americans, Latinos, immigrants, and TEACHERS.
The former party of Lincoln (who derided the Know Nothings), Teddy Roosevelt (who insisted that the immigrant be treated on an exact equality as everyone else), and Ronald Reagan (who was saddened by what he called "anti-immigrant hysteria"), now passes laws making it a crime for immigrants to work for a living, walk the streets without proof of citizenship status, or enter into legal contracts of any kind.
The party of "limited government" now demands that the government require vaginal probing of women who seek legal, but frowned upon, medical procedures.
And the party that used to champion Free Enterprise, now insists that the federal government authorize every hiring decision made by a private company.
I'd be happy to vote for a Republican for President, but there aren't any running. The old Republican Party is extinct.
Mitt Romney's economic plan:
Eliminate Social Security and Medicare, but keep the tax in place;
Liquidate the Social Security trust fund and distribute the proceeds to million-dollar-plus contributors to Romney's 'Restore Our Future' Super PAC;
Lay off 20% of the American work force;
Let 25% of American manufacturing companies go bankrupt;
Foreclose on 15% of all American families with a mortgage;
Allow rich people to cherry pick what's left at bargain basement prices;
Sell the rest (including America's infrastructure and the remnants of our manufacturing base) in pieces to China; and
Collect personal commissions and consulting fees equal to a hundred times his current net worth.
@commonsense: Could you back up your comment with a source? It would be very easy for me to make up a whole bunch of stuff too, but without a source, I'd lack credibility, which is what your post reeks of.
Here's what Rick Santorum has to say about America's pornography industry and the use of contraceptives by married couples:
While America does not seem to be enthralled with Mr. Romney, should Mr. Santorum ever reach the Oval Office, we won't recognize the "New America".
Thats what I'm afraid of
The Christian Republic of the United States.
Santorum isn't even getting enough votes to win the Republican nomination. He has no chance at the Presidency.
Skup, what's really scary is that he has gotten this far.
Santorum reminds me of the pencil neck wannabe geek who enjoyed smelling the jock straps in the high school locker room. He's a loser!
should Mr. Santorum ever reach the Oval Office, we won't recognize the "New America".
Just look at the Middle East countries. That is what he wants, instead of Muslims, we will have Christians...
Ready to vomit?? We need Larry Flint here! I don't want him to move. We need separation of CHURCH AND STATE!
RESPECT THE CONSTITUTION: vote democrat
If you are tired of unconstitutional wars, inflation of currency, destruction of personal liberties, nontransparent government... vote Ron Paul whether he is GOP or 3rd party.
"This election will be about principle. Our economic freedom will be on the ballot," he said. "I'm running for president because I have the experience and vision to get us out of this mess."
Winning candidates always say "Elect me, I know how to turn things around".
Obama tried it in 2008, but unfortunately, his policies have been a huge flop. Time to move on and try another 'Change".
Respect the Constitution, vote democrat? Really? Gee, guess you missed the almost unanimous vote to destroy the constitution? NDAA seems to have fallen off the radar. Americans deserve the government they get, too brain-dead and asleep at the wheel to understand that the Bill of Rights is effectively dead. How many of the little folks are even aware of what NDAA is?

Mitt Flip Flop Romney LMAO
Hey Roy Wilson
Romney speaks in Detroit; folks shouldn't forget that he and every other GOP candidate opposed the auto recovery, preferring to let the industry go bankrupt. From day one . President Obama has stood with the auto industry, saying, "We cannot, and must not, and we will not let our auto industry simply vanish." He's kept his word: More than 1.4 million American auto industry jobs have been saved, 200,000 created, and more than 150,000 are expected in the next few years. What did Mittens say, “let Detroit go bankrupt”.
And now the Economy is getting better and better much to the dismay of the GOPee who wants it to get worse
So what do want to do go back to the FAILED POLICIES of BUSH who got us in to this mess?
It is really interesting how many dumb asses jibber jabber about the constitution when it is highly likely they never read it or if they did they failed to understand it. When you vote Republican you are absolute proof of my statement. The GOP, grand old pharts, has become a party where the rich rule the ignorant and weak minded. Blue collar workers that vote republican have to be dumber than rocks.
First of all, you must be speaking about yourself. The only time that you show up is to bring Democrats down. I guess you are very interested in having a theocratic Government, that is against gays, women's rights and birth control.
Using your own words: GEEEE Who have guessed, given the nature of your previous comments?
Great! You live in Texas, -as per your own words- and you have showed us how to elect really smart Republicans. I would be careful in calling names. Clean your house before you start picking on others.
Is the corn tall enough? keep watching!
We now know who the republican nominee is going to be. No real point in speaking about Gingrich, Paul, or Santorum anymore. They can all (and probably will) continue to hang around, basking in the glitter of their goofy delusions, hoping someone will notice them, and they have that right, but doing so only diminishes them further. Time now for their families to intervene, take them each by the hand, and lead them gently home. Made asses of themselves long enough now. Time to allow Romney, the "Chief Ass" to shine in all His singular glory.
"Romney speaks in Detroit; folks shouldn't forget that he and every other GOP candidate opposed the auto recovery, preferring to let the industry go bankrupt."
Both GM and Chrysler did go bankrupt. All the bailout did was give them an additional debtor to declare in their filling. Obama's auto bailout did nothing to "save" the auto industry. In fact the one big three auto maker not to take Government Money was also the only one not to go bankrupt. Ford is still alive and kicking and restructured without GovCo help and without bankruptcy.
Please take some to to research things before posting.
How many of the little folks are even aware of what NDAA is?
The NDAA is nothing else that a bill that allows the President to arrest crazy Americans overseas. Now the Republicans are all "up in arms" because the President arrests and decides to avoid a costly and stupid circus when a "rebel "American is arrested.Since when the Republicans are so concerned with "human rights"? Very unbecoming of a Republican!
If someone is shooting at me, I don't give a F what nationality he or she is...I am going to shoot back...Simple as that...Keep the lawyers out of the equation.
Witchking: In regards to your comment: "Romney speaks in Detroit; folks shouldn't forget that he and every other GOP candidate opposed the auto recovery, preferring to let the industry go bankrupt".
I guess you missed it...GM and Chrysler did go bankrupt - even with the bailout.
The American Fools dont understand the Jewwws Run your country, and their goal is to destroy you from the inside out so they can take over your freedoms and turn you into slaves !!!
- The biggest power anyone can have over any nation is the power to create its currency, in USA that power is granted to the privately held Federal Reserve which is all owned by a small minority within the Jewish community, and they're called zZionist Jewwws.
- zZionist Jewwws also fully control your entire Mass Media via 6 corporations including the entire Music Industry and they feed you Sheeple nothing but lies and propaganda which benefit them, not you !! Yes this includes most Newspapers, every channel on your TV, Hollywood, Magazines etc. Whoever controls the Media also controls your politicians, because the Media decides who to make look bad and who to make look good on TV or to not give certain politicians any coverage like what they're doing to Ron Paul now !!!
- Just look at how far the Jewww Mass Media has achieved in destroying your Morals, your Family values in only a few decades, compare a TV show from the 50's to a TV show now (Jerry Springer+others) and compare
- More than half of your congress members have dual Israeli citizenship !!!
- Hitler was not the only 1 to have a problem w. these Jews, in fact they have been kicked out of every single country they've ever settled, thats more than 180times in the last 1500yrs..
- Israhhel has committed several Terrorist acts against America and they got caught yet 99% of Americans have no clue about it.
Here is proof, please google "ISRAELI TERRORISM AGAINST AMERICA"
also google this "THE ZIONIST MATRIX POWER IN AMERICA"
Irrespond: I was right, most Americans are totally unaware of what is contained in NDAA. You included.
The NDAA is nothing else than a bill that allows the President to arrest crazy americans overseas.
In your haste to bash republicans you overlook a key component of NDAA, a component which codifies indefinite detention into law. That means that they can hold you, an American citizen, indefinitely, without charges. It also suspends due process, habeas corpus, and other rights guaranteed by the 5th and 6th Amendments of the Constitution. As a result of the War on Terror, this law neither excludes or protects US citizens from apprehension and indefinite detention.
I'll simplify it for you: Under this law, citizens are not just subject to indefinite detention but also execution without a trial. Obama has set it up where HE can be judge, jury and exectutioner.
According to Rachel Maddow, who summed it up rather succinctly (and she is a 100% liberal, BTW) "thanks to this bill...if this president changes his mind (as per signing statements) or some other president in the future does want to arrest Americans and lock them up in military custody forever without trial, our government now statutorily now claims that as its right."
"Since 2001, the Patriot Act, the AUMF, and now the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 have eroded many of our most valued constitutional rights. Our nation is moving away... towards a totalitarian state. Terrorism has replace communism as the rationale for the militarization of the country, for military adventures abroad and for the suppression of civil liberties at home. It serves the same purpose, serving to create hysteria."
Be safe little sheep, Obama and all other presidents coming after him can now kill you or detain you indefinitely without trial, jury or charges and can do so for as long as the War on Terror continues.Even Bush wasn't this bad...
Addendum: One of the key witnesses called in to support this law was none other than Steven Bradley, the top legal architect of the torture program used under the Bush administration. Guess when Obama acts as bad as Bush the Obamabots are ok with it because, well, it's Obama. Notice how Gitmo is still open? Wonder why? You thought waterboarding was bad, well, now they can kill you if they decide you are a 'terrorist' or 'terrorist sympathizer' and the Homeland Security definition of what constitutes potential terrorists includes in its list homeschoolers and protesters like OWS and the Teaparty...
I just want to say that our country has been going down hill and will continue to until we start putting God back into our country. Obama is not for this country. He hates our country. He's only out for himself. When are some of you people going to wake up! Our country needs someone who can straighten up this country and who loves it here, not hates it!
Mygirl1- you are absolutely correct. People think we are free when truthfully we are not. The government can do what it wants when it wants. The democratic party on a whole is pushing socialism and with socialism comes less and less freedom. Many laws that small minded people think is saving lives is destroying our freedoms more.
Irrespond: I can't help that you're not better informed. Perhaps a little research rather than spending time casting insults would be in order. Its rather painfully obvious that you don't know much about the majority of democrats who passed NDAA. It's also unfortunate that your worldview isn't grounded in reality when it comes to facts over wishes.
As to the theocracy posited by some of the republicans along with views on contraception etc, - I fully support women's reproductive rights and am a firm believer in separation of Church and State. That doesn't make me a democrat, since both parties are awash in hypocrisy.
NickyTemple
Well no worries for you (or not?) cause "Mittens" is gonna show Mr. Obama OUT THE DOOR before he can spend ONE MORE NICKEL of our money!!
TNTTony7 -- Freedom is relative. Many of us are wage slaves. If you are upside down on your home, you're even more of a slave to the debt. And we are all slaves to fear of losing our jobs (even bad ones), and losing our health.
All government systems are hybrids. Our military is technically a form of socialism. Education, which must be standardized is a form of socialism. Some things are best done by the government. But even socialist countries are also capitalist countries, because some things are best done by the private sector. Calm down, the sky isn't falling. Our health care system sucks, especially compared to socialist countries. Why can't we cherry pick what works and discard what doesn't? Our founding fathers were revolutionaries who did just that.
Really? And which Mitt would that be, the real Mitt? And who's money is being spent? We have the lowest tax rates since the 1950s.
Wrong once again True....good try though...ONE EXAMPLE???

Mr. Big $PENDER OBAMA - Epic Fail
just one guy,hahahahahahahaha.... i see you didn't mention the 17 times it was raised under reagan or the times it was raised under bush whe the rethuglicons controled both houses. spin it like a top.
Do the math dza...from the first 'raise' to the last....almost DOUBLE in only 4 tired unproductive years.
When did journalists first start using the term downscale to describe voters? Sounds a lot like unwashed. Not very flattering. Would a victory for Sanctorum be a victory for the downscale?
Wow ! Big win.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS PROVES ?!
It proves that a super rich guy (a detached, out of touch rich guy that even a lot of the GOP doesn't like very much)....CAN "BUY" THE CANDIDACY BY OUTSPENDING HIS OPPONENTS.
The GOP is a mess. This whole primary season has been embarrassing and exhausting,....largely because the whole GOP has been looking,....searching,.....waiting for the ANTI-ROMNEY - a phrase coined and used endlessly by the pundits. Why ? Simply because Mitt Romney is not a great choice.
So, remember folks,....people with hundreds of millions of dollars have power to buy the election and dominate your life with the politics of corporate welfare.
Just get ready to serve the rich,....the CEO IN CHIEF will continue to steam roll over the population with his millions.
CHA-CHING,...CHA-CHING,....CHA-CHING,....CHA-CHING,.....
No morals,....no ethics,....no "we the people",....just the will of big business,.....HAVE FUN.

If you think this administration respects the Constitution, you must be on serious meds. There have been more prosecutions under the Espionage Act in this administration than any other. We are not talking spies, but whistle blowers. The SCOUS will have to determine the legality of the healthcare reform law. The Constitution has been so twisted that I doubt the founding fathers would even recognize the document as it exists today.
Illinois will go for Obama in the general election.
It's hard me me to call 47% of the vote a big win after the recent gaffes by Santorum about not caring about the unemployment rate, etc... Romney is running almost unopposed and he can't crack 50% of his own party's vote.
If he was running totally unopposed in both the primaries or in the general, 51% of the vote would probably be for write ins.
He's a phony that most people just can't relate to or even then get past the creepiness factor. I find it totally shocking that so many people who can't stand him are still thinking of voting for him just because he's expected to be the nominee.
Obama hasn't been perfect, but by objective standards and to most historians, he's definitely been one of our better presidents. I wish people would look past their own prejudices and the outright lies and distortions propagated to make him a "one term president" and consider this election just on facts (actual facts, not Fox New "facts"), qualifications, policies, and where each candidate is seeing America in the future. In an unbiased comparison of all factors, Obama should be twenty points over Romney in theoretical match-ups.
"This is an election about fundamental and foundational things," he said from Pennsylvania. "This is not about who's the best person to manage Washington. We don't need a manager."
.....so let's elect the SNL Church Lady (if Dana Carvey is available).
Roy Wilson is a puke robodrone.
He has looked through his rose colored glasses for so long that he is blind to the fact that the pukes have been obstructionists since President Obama has taken office.
Unfortunately for the pukes the economy is beginning to rebound and it will get better and better the closer to the National Election we get.
Puke, puke, puke...think that about sums up your post...
What most of the "little folks," you included, is that the amendment of the NDAA, was an extension of an amendment of the Authorization to use force in Iraq Act. That the amendment was added to the funding bill for the military in December, which if it was voted down or vetoed, the military would have been left unfunded at the beginning of the year. This would have meant, not only would the military personnel not get a pay raise, but could have been forced to miss a check or two. And, the President attached a signing statement saying that he is signing the bill because it funds the military, but he had serious reservations about the amendment, and that it would only be enforced within the limits of the Constitution and other Federal laws.
One of the conditions of receiving "bailout" money was that the companies go through bankruptcy procedures. If these companies were to just have gone bankrupt, as Romney wanted, they would have not survived, as they had zero capital at the time. Ford was only able to escape the same fate as the other two because they secured a line of credit in 2007, that was backed by the government. So, Ford did not stay alive and kicking without "GovCo" help either.
I voted for Santorum last night in Illinois, but I am ready to call it for Romney. My wife ( who is the smart one in the family) voted for Romney.
Based on delegate math, the other guys cannot catch Romney. I am all for fighting hard. That's politics. But to continue to attack your guy who will be facing a well funded incumbent in November is just silly.
We have 4 years of trillion dollar deficits. Yes, other guys have run up debt also, but none at the pace of Obama. We had only 1.9% GDP growth last year. We have high gas prices, high unemployment, a terrible housing market and the specter of big brother making all of our healthcare decisions for us. We have to unite.
I know Obama inherited a mess, but he has only made matters worse. The fact that 3 plus years later, they are still blaming Bush shows you how bankrupt their ideas are.
The Senate is within our grasp and so is the White House. But the longer this drags on, the easier it becomes for president Foodstamps to get re elected.
Paul is a goofy old crank. Gingrich once was respected and now he just runs down Romney. Santorum still may have a future somewhere in the party and he needs to bow to reality and put his energy behind winning the Senate and White House.
Romney/Haley 2012!!!
raddave: Perhaps you should read the article attached to my post. The article explains that Obama did NOT have to sign said bill, the military would have been paid regardless. Then you should read about the validity of signing statements (which Obama promised he would never use, BTW) they don't mean squat. They have NO legal bearing, NONE. Obama could change his mind about the signing statements and enforce the law as written as can any president coming after him. That was the sop fed to his supporters but it is in no way fact.
The law exists as written REGARDLESS of the signing statements. Obama could have and should have vetoed it and he did not. As a constitutional scholar he should realize the full import of what he signed into law. And...most importantly, if Obama had as much integrity as his followers pretend he has, he should have worked on repealing all of the aforementioned laws. Instead he enhanced and enlarged them. Would a man who understood and respected the constitution have done as he did?
"If these companies were to just have gone bankrupt, as Romney wanted, they would have not survived"
That statement is simply ignorant rhetoric devoid of understand of how bankruptcy works and the facts of what happened with GM and Chrysler.
Bankruptcy is a tool put in place so that companies that can survive a change in their situation or a failure of the basic business and when they can’t allow them a channel to liquidate via a controlled process. While some companies do go bankrupt and dissolve away to nothing, that is quite rare and in the case of GM and Chrysler would never have been an option. Without the debt both GM and Chrysler where viable entries so liquidation was never an option, ergo a bankruptcy filing would have always focused on restructuring their debt not killing the company. The restructuring they went through was the same as what they would have go through without the “bailouts” and in fact having the bailouts only hurt their institutional investors (Mostly non UAW Union pension plans) by placing a higher priority debt ahead of their own claim.
The “bailouts” did not save a single job nor did it change the course GM and Chrysler where on. All it did was give the executive branch a seat at the table in the biggest power grab in history.
John: Yup and now the executive branch has also declared that it can kill an american citizen without due process. Holder got up and stated that recently. So, under Obama we have lost the fifth and sixth Amendments to the constitution, his HCR bill now has the government controlling one sixth of the economy and he has appointed CEOs to take over private corporations. His followers pretend that he is not a socialist but his actions are the very definition of socialism: you can own or 'rent' your company but it is the government who tells you how to run it, who to hire, what and how you can produce and who you can sell your product to.
@Gary 420: Based on delegate math Romney may not get enough votes to win the GOP convention in the first round and currently right now a lot of Romney's delegates are Paul supporters just waiting to vote for Paul in the 2nd or 3rd round of the convention.
Paul is the only candidate who has offered to slash our deficit spending (by 1 trillion).
Romney or Santorum will never win against Obama, these 2 "fake conservatives" can barely galvanize the GOP party but what Ron Paul has that the other two don't (besides morals and principles) is the Independent voters and the Democrats who want nothing to do with the warmonger Obama.
I have done much research on all the candidates and these are the facts.
Paul 2012
The GOP should do the entire country a favor and give up on the 2012 election. The GOP are a bunch of rich azzholes and you people who are not in the top 1% are just wannabe 1%'ers that will never, ever get there.
SPENDING and raising the debt limit are two different things.
Buying something on a credit card is like the two unfunded Republican wars, or Republicans creating a brand new gigantic government bureaucracy, all while refusing to follow "pay as you go" rules.
Raising the debt limit is like paying the credit card bill.
Umm, not exactly. Raising the debt limit is the credit card company extending your debt limit so that you don't default on your loan and they can give you more credit so you can borrow more...at interest.
Gosh, and the misinformation just keeps on coming. Newsflash: money was appropriated to fund the wars. Now, where that tidbit of misinformation developed escapes me. You can do research but then, that would upset the script and we don't want facts getting in the way of our scripted and regurgitated narrative.
"Raising the debt limit is like paying the credit card bill."
Only if you plan to pay with cash advances against your credit card. That is in a word "stupid". Paying debt with debt is a recipe of economic ruin, both in terms of personal, business and government finances.
Who doesn't care about the unemployment rate? Geez. I've had a job the whole time and I'm still sick that we have so many people out of work. Who runs for president and doesn't care about high unemployment? Santorum is a very strange bird. If the foundation of his platform is not the economy, what is it? All that I can gather is that he wants to install a theocracy and let the Vatican run the country remotely. Or solely on prayer and Christian faith? If you think Congress is slow now, imagine how long a voice vote from God would take. I just don't get this guy. Or how he has remained on the Republican leader-board for so long.
because Romney is running on the "I'm-not-Obama" platform, and Sticky Santorum is running on the "and-I'm-not-Romney" platform.
yeah, he doesn't care about something as trivial as unemployment... it'll fix itself, as soon as he puts all the porn industry people outta work
That's very true. Santorum is a laughable candidate, as loony as Bachmann and Pizza Man. That he has gotten this far speaks to the bankruptcy of the GOP.
Taking our military out of 100+ nations would be a good start for our economy, the troops could at least spend their money here in the states and be here to protect our borders if need be. Vote Ron Paul who is the only candidate who wants to lower taxes to stimulate the economy. Remember the hard workers of this society are only stifled by taxes not encouraged to work harder, unless people see this we will soon be paying $10 a gallon for gas, eating genetically modified food without realizing (already happening!), and stripped of our most basic rights.
Vote Ron Paul
What it really speaks to is how polarized and sad the electoral process really is. Obama isn't the greatest, neither are any of the other candidates. Ron Paul at least has some integrity, he didn't approve NDAA. That is the only thing that really counts, integrity. Rather a rare commodity.
It would be great for America if the GOP did go bankrupt and not America.
Yup, need some of that Obama stash. Guess that's a reason to vote for someone. Nothing spells loyalty better than gimme.
Good God, the republican party seems intent on getting Obama reelected! What a bunch of nimrods!
They will be on President Obama's Christmas card list throughout his second administration, Grouchy.
Ron Paul at least has some integrity, he didn't approve NDAA. That is the only thing that really counts, integrity. Rather a rare commodity.
A rare commodity indeed. The least of what the Republicans have. Ron Paul does not approve of anything. He only had one good idea, and that was to end the war. The reason why he did not win ANYWHERE is because the rest of his ideas are just like the rest of the tea party:
LUNATIC!
Who doesn't care about the unemployment rate? Why, that would be Prezzzz Obama, obviously!
Irrespond: Ahh, guess Obama is the poster child for integrity? Really?
These people that call Ron Paul A lunatic. Is a cheap shot, when they don't really look a what he is about. I would like to see some proof that he is a lunatic. Actually I see 3 other lunatics running for the nomination. I have also seen 2 other lunatics maybe 3 drop out of the race. If speaking the truth and offering sound ideas is the definition lunacy then this country deserves to implode. Then We will see who the lunatics are then.
Its funny that people call Ron Paul crazy just bc he is not of the same opinions as the people that got us into this mess. Did any of you Obama lovers actually question why Ron Paul has gotten elected time and time again?
Texans are just as a diverse a people as the rest of the nation and yet they keep electing R.P, who is hated by your so called people loving demos and the war loving repubs. Stop and think for just one moment about the people you have elected that voted for every bill you now hate or disagree with. One person has been on the sidelines for years telling the fed govt to stop butting into other nations business and to leave states their rights. But oh no, all the Obama lovers just can't wait to have another same old same old stay in the office of greatness and they like to ignore the fact that their privacy and states rights are flying out the window. You just can't see it, can you? How blind we have become as a nation to the growing size of our govt and with it their great power to control us. No one asked me if I wanted my tax dollars to be given to the welfare system? They just took it and demanded more, they never told me how long each person would get welfare, or what they would do help them get off welfare. They never asked the Catholics and Christians if it was okay to use their tax money to pay for abortions, and according to some peoples views on the issue, even if they do not support abortions they are still guilty bc they pay for them, knowingly! Did none of you stop and think about how that steps on freedom of religion? You may not have an abortion as a Christian but you HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM!!
Did none of you folks think that by electing the chosen party candidate that maybe just maybe you were falling into their line rather than staying on your own path, which is rightfully yours to stay on according to our constitution? Any POTUS can take credit and every POTUS lays blame on someone else, I want someone who will say 'we are all wrong here folks, we stopped listening to you and started listening to lobbyist and our wallets and our buddies wallets.' That man or woman who can say that is trying to make amends to us and you keep throwing it back in his face, calling him old, crazy, or just stupid! I want any of you who have set in your minds that Obama can do no wrong to really look at what he is!! He is someone the very people who voted you into this mess supported! Does that mean you support the continuation and growth of the current problems? Think long and hard about not voting for the one man THEY ALL HATE and who will tell you they all screwed up and its YOUR JOB to fix it!!
Bc thats what RP is telling you folks!!! This is my nation and I will stand for it against ALL of those who have tried to rip freedom from my grasp!! I stand against those who will not admit they were wrong! RP admitted he was wrong to ignore those papers which printed the racist columns, he admitted he was too busy to really sit down and read each and every one and that he was in the WRONG for neglecting something important! That's a real man folks!! And any woman will tell you the best man is not always the loudest, the strongest or the smartest, but the one who will admit he was wrong and will tell you the truth when its really important to you and your safety!!
It doesn't matter who wins the GOP nomination. The conservatives have done everything to crush their own credibility in recent years so, the average American will not vote a Republican in as president. I'm not bashing the right wing...I am simply saying that they are their own worst enemy and John Q. Public knows it. Obama will prove the lesser of the evils in November.
you have been duped have you read this? this is the truth about Obama - we couldn't do worse than him......
A retired postal carrier has signed a sworn affidavit, stating he was introduced and met young Barack Obama (back then his name was Soebarkah) in 1989. Mary Ayers stated he was a foreign exchange student from Indonesia. When the postman met Soebarkah on the sidewalk in 1989, that young light-skinned black man said he was there to thank the Ayers' family personally for paying for his education. The retired postman was taken aback when the young Obama looked him right in the face and said, I AM GOING TO BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. The postman stated Obama told him this as if it were almost a scientific fact that and as if the presidency had already been determined.
nperk10195...what? See, why does someone who writes crazy stuff like that get to vote?
nperk10195
you make the birthers look sane. That's saying a lot! So tell me, how many aliens have you seen, Does Santa, God, or the tooth fairy speak to you? You have an active imagination!
nperk10195:
Is is there a local right-wing talk radio wacko in your town that's filling your head with this nonsense or do these visions come to you only when you put on your tinfoil hat?
Either way, you seem to be intentionally misinformed and are a poor excuse for an American.
Conservatives don't have to do anything to crush their own credibility. All they have to do is sit back and watch Obama bankrupting this country with unsustainable debt that can never be repaid.
No one has to make Obama look like an inept buffoon, he does that all by himself.
That's why our economy has done nothing but climb since Obama took office. Don't believe me? Easy--just go to Google Finance or Yahoo Finance (or similar) and look at the Dow Jones Index over the last five years. Now, who is the clown? OneTerm, I think you should call yourself "OneNote". All you can say is how you hate Obama. The rest of your dribble is a pack of lies. Your heroes are Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. You all sound more and more pathetic.
Liberals are clowns: What about the two wars that your predecessor, Ex-President Bush, got us into that cost us a couple of trillion dollars that he never budgeted for? What about the tax cuts that he put into affect (everyone KNOWS that when you're at war, you RAISE taxes, not lower them to cover the cost of the war), and where was your wonder boy when Bin Laden was running amok! AND, let's talk about how he blamed Sadaam Hussein for 9/11, when we already KNOW that it was carried out by Saudi's? AND, can we talk about how he again blamed Sadaam, when the whole 9/11 chaos came down, knowing full well that Sadaam HATED Bin Laden and wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with him? Can we talk about that?
You're living in a dream world if you think people are so stupid that they can't see the problems that the current GOP roster could cause us if they are elected. If they are, and I don't see how they will be, I hope I'm around to hear you whine and cry about how bad things have become!!!
Alan and Didi, you're wasting your time with these uneducated trolls. They've been recruited by the likes of the Koch's and Karl Rove to interrupt anything that isn't pro right wing fascist propaganda. Most of them don't know the first thing about what they're spewing, yet they travel like locusts from sight to sight and leave their poop stains. Of course, you notice they never respond.
I think all you liberals will just have to wait until the consevatives pick their own candidate because they could care less what you think.
Alan1234,
To gauge an economic "recovery" solely based on what the DOW Jones Index is trading at is at it's best ludicrous. The stock market is currently rising with inflation. If you dump as much money into our system as the Federal Reserve has and expect prices to remain the same then you don't know a whole lot about economics. If the government prints a ton of money and spends it, in the near term private companies will hire based on the stimulus, and unemployment might go down. With as much money as we've spent unemployment should be down to like 5%-6%. Furthermore, If they were productive jobs though our trade deficit would not be ballooning right now.
I urge you to go out and read a book on economics and you will see that the debt path that Obama has put us on (with the help of previous administrations) WILL bankrupt this nation. Obama is a clueless tool. Oil production is at an all-time high, oil consumption is at an all-time low (you use less gas when you don't have to drive to work every day), yet gas prices are SOARING. Why? All of this reckless spending, trillion dollar budget deficits, and monetary policy that monetizes those debts. You can't create a bunch of new dollars and expect the price of oil to stay the same. If this was the case we could just print all of the money we want with no repercussions. Unfortunately not even in Obama's fantasy land of hope and change is that possible.
Republicans for the wealthy, Democrats for the working people.
Celtics, bank deregulation put us in this mess. Don't follow the Dow Jones, follow the cause and effect. You cannot create tens of trillions (yes trillions) in toxic assets and expect any economy to absorb that. As always, the market sees the tide turning before the average citizen when the music stops, we are left without a seat (because no one was watching out for us). If the Obama administration did not spend, the economy dies. Once you get out of the basement, you repay your tab, not during. If we tighten in the high times, spend in the tough times (federally) it evens out the highs and the lows. But, above all, we always need tough banking regulations and enforcement with teeth.
Michael.
What have the Democrats done recently for the working people?
Obama could NEVER be the lesser of two evils no matter who is opposing him!!!!
ABO
The failed leadership of Willard Mitt Romney while governor of Massachusetts is stunning. His state ranked 47th out of 50 in job creation, 4 straight years of manufacturing sector job losses, what few jobs that were created, public sector outpaced private sector 6 to 1 and the state's debt increased 16.5%. With a failed leadership record like that, it is no wonder that Willard won't talk about his record as governor.
cute name and avatar I think - at least Romney and Santorum had some political experience - your fearless leader had none =- we were duped - have you read this? it is true
Cute little fantasy you have there. Is it an acid trip?
Therman,
Romney accomplished a lot while being Governor of the ultra-liberal state of Massachusetts. He was limited in what he could really do being in a state run by left-wing radicals.
Sort of like Obama and the obstructionist republican clowns in the House, right clown? Gee Mitt and the President have more in common than first thought. The only difference is skin color, right clown?
Tonybeeerm,
Obama wanted the stimulus - they gave it to him, he wanted Obamacare - he got it. He wanted the payroll tax cut - he got it. I'm not exactly sure what kind of obstructionist party you're talking about here, as all of the major policies that Obama wanted - he got. How about just own up to the fact that Obama has been a complete disaster.
Celtics2008
The stimulus was a necessity, or else Dubya's totally wrecking the economy would've been completed. Research and you'll see that it saved jobs and gave a needed boost like the paddles to a heart attack victim.
Obamacare is something you rwnj's came up with. It actually was the health reform that he stated he would get through during his campaign. Was it what most of us wanted? No. We want single payer like most of the developed nations in the world have.
How about you just own up to the fact that you have no one to win in 2012, and may very well lose the House majority. How's that for disaster?
nperk10195
- That is so @!$%#ing stupid that I can't even throw out a comment.
Romney accomplished a lot while being Governor of the ultra-liberal state of Massachusetts
That was before he became the Tea Party's B*****
Vote DEMOCRAT !!!!
The comments from both the right wing and left wing nut jobs here make me realize just how America has become the new Rome and December 21st just can't come soon enough.
tonybeeerm
George Bush did not "totally wreck the economy" any more than Obama did. If you really believe that then we are in huge trouble and that is why we are in trouble now.
You have to remember Obama is still paying for all the Bush contracts that were written as 60 month term contracts. It would take an act of Congress to eliminate those contracts now. But don't think for a minute Congress would do such a thing. It is Congress the REPUBLICAN PARTY that spends, spends and spends.
Therman
Massachusetts has NO debt, and had no debt under Romney. Like most, it not all, states we are mandated to balance the budget every year. If toward the end of the year it looks like expenses will exceed revenue then we must by law bring them into balance. Mitt did this, as do all of our governors.
I am no fan of Romney's, although I do hope he is the nominee as I think he is the only one of the four even remotely qualified and capable, and in the extremely unlikely case that Obama is not reelected then I want Mitt not one of the other bozos.
Please use FACTS in attempting to persuade people to think one way or another, there are more than enough lies out there, let's at least try to keep it honest.
That would be a vote to end America. Please vote sane. Thank you!
The GOP has not lost their minds, they are doing exactly as they've been instructed by their corporate masters (although it goes against the oath they took).
If you ain't rich, they ain't for you.
If you vote Republican, America will continue to sleep walk toward a G. O. Plutocracy.
Yet 41 Senators & 238 Congressmen (plus, Mitt & Newt) have pledged allegiance to Grover Norquist; the #1 lobbyist for the Keystone Pipeline , who is holding the Country's legislation hostage with Gridlock?? If these "Norquist Pledge" signers want TRUE TAX REFORM; just "AX THE TAX CODE"??? With the Code's $1.1TRILLION in "breaks"; Plus allowing 45% to pay NOTHING!! ??? There is your "DEFICIT"?? "Tea Party" follow your "namesakes", grab your "axes" AND "AX THE TAX CODE"??
nperk10195,
What drugs are you on?
An overwhelming majority of sane people would sooner believe an alien conspiracy from the people of Jupiter more readily than this obviously false claim. And how much would you have to pay someone, especially someone who hates Obama for whatever reason, to sign an affidavit like that? Probably not much.
There are many more people who believe the world is flat or who suffer from any one of several mental conditions, and since they firmly believe it, would also sign affidavits to whatever beliefs they had. That still doesn't make their fantasies true, even though it may be very true to them.
The scarier thing is people like you who are so willing to take anything this crazy at face value just because it backs your political views. You're welcome to have different political views. Our political system thrives on different viewpoints, but let's try to keep the discussions in the realms of reality.
Republicans only care about 2 things...Money and Power!
Democrats only care about 2 things..........more poverty and power!
@LAC,
Q: How many Republican Presidents have ever "Balanced the budget ?"
A: 0
Democrats only care about 2 things..........more poverty and power!
All the Republicans are so "Fiscally Conservative" that the only thing that matter to them is to destroy the barriers that were put in place to protect us:
The don't want barriers in the EPA
They don't want barriers in Wall Street, so they can rip us another one -as if we need an extra one-
They want to privatize Social Security and Medicaid: Make it a BUSINESS
They want to destroy public Education by depleting it from money -that , by the way, gives excellent results...JUST LOOK AT WHO IS RUNNING FOR THE GOP-
The want to deny rights to individuals based on sex orientation
They want to send women back "to being "obedient" sex slaves of men
And the WORST: THEY WANT TO TAKE US BACK INTO WAR
etc. etc. Who wants you? The only people that want you are people with INFERIORITY COMPLEX that are tossed around by their significant other.

Like most liberal bloggers on this site you are WRONG
Rick,
I wouldn't go bragging to much about GOP economic successes. That budget was 55 years ago and Republicans have failed to balance 31 budgets in a row since then. Since Eisenhower in 52 we have 36 years of GOP presidents 23 years of Democrats. We have had 10 full blown recessions 7 square in the middle of GOP presidencies 2 Democratic 1 being mild and 1 shared. The GOP has also presided over the collapse and death of the 125 year old savings and loan industry, the collapse and bailout of US financial markets 2007-2008 three stock market crashes, the collapse of American manufacturing, two real estate bubbles, the explosion of illegal immigration to provide cheap labor for agribusiness and the loss of trust in American governance. Anyone who backs the GOP because they don't like Democratic social policy or are just racists, bigots, homophobes, cheap or religious fundamentalists have legitimate reasons to support Republican candidates but a record of economic success is pure fantasy. Since Warren G Harding GOP economics have been a disaster.
By the way Eisenhower was greatly disparaged by his republican contemporaries because he slashed defense spending by 27% to balance his budget. His cuts were supported by the Dems. and caused a split in the GOP.
jkh
Rick maybe so, but your post shows that the democrats are FAR more fiscally responsible than the republicans. Thanks for the ammunition.
Maybe you all should work on your reading comprehension just a bit. So the last republican president was Dwight Eisenhower, There were only two democrats and the last one Bill Clinton did not have a surplus until the republicans took over congress. You liberals go on and on about how the President is not responsible for the budget as long as it suits your argument
The policies for the Savings & Loan collapse was put into place by the Carter administration and those liberals that seem to have such short memories have forgotten that Bill and Hillary came into office with the Whitewater Scandal hanging over their heads. Unfortunately those witnesses that could testify against them had a really bad habit of showing up dead. The policies that enabled the housing bubble were put in place by the Clinton administration and to rub salt in the wound Clinton fought tooth and nail the regulation of the derivatives market that worsened the recession considerably. Derivatives like mortgage backed securities and credit default swaps. You liberals seem to be dumb enough to think the inflationary housing bubble could go on forever and that is a huge part of our problem now. I think it is a hell of a coincidence that the housing bubble collapsed during democrat control of congress and those conditions that caused the recession still exist.
eye2eye-3869672
Jim Hayes and Ferrosynthesis
The whole point of the post was to show that eye2eye-3869672 made a post that had no basis in truth whatsoever. You Newsvine liberals make a habit out of either distorting the truth or lying outright.
No we don't.
But you did show that the Democrats are far better then the republicans in fiscal responsiblity.
Dear God, you really believe that?
My Girl,
Simply look at any timeline, graph and US economic history the peaks of prosperity and economic expansion are virtually all during Democratic Administrations. GOP has presided over three market crashes, 8 recessions the destruction of the S&L industry, a 250% increase in the size of government under Reagan and Bush II the explosion of the national debt, the near death of US manufacturing and the greatest redistribution of wealth in world history. Yes it's really easy to believe democrats have been far better guardians of the economy.
jkh
Rick,
Whitewater was a questionable real estate deal with those wealthy Clintons who were making 24k and 35k respectively which went bad and BECAUSE OF S&L deregulation Jim McDougal and David Hale were able to engineer basically unsecured loans. The Clintons names were not even mentioned until Starr in 1992 perhaps suborned perjury in obtaining statements from David Hale never before mentioned in the inquiry. He also tried to suborn perjury from Susan McDougal who went to jail for perjury rather than change her sworn statement. Starrs investigation spent 7 years and between 70 and 80 million dollars and came up with a BJ in the oval office, great freaking job. Meanwhile The Arkansas project was providing millions to private investigators the American Spectator and very possibly David Hale to present theory and supposition as fact to gain leverage over the Clintons and for all the waste of money and fabrications of events and conspiracies they came up with zip, nada nothing. Along the way Richard Mellon Scaife conveniently endowed a permanent chair at Pepperdine University for Starr as a gift for services rendered which when discovered Starr had to abandon the newly created law school chair and wait 5 years before taking it.
As to the S&L industry one significant piece of deregulatory legislation occurred in 1980 allowing interest bearing checkin accounts to counter the NOW accounts and Money markets being offered by retail banking it also deregulated interest rates offered and the ability to collateralize some mortgages. All other deregulatory rules changes occurred under Reagan and both parties had figures dipping into S&L largess offered by the likes of Neil Bush and Charles Keating. This real estate bubble occurred during Reagan and Bush and was fueled less by derivatives than the teaser rates offered by S&Ls with ARMs and Balloons. Th second bubble was fueled by the same vehicles as well as the expansion of the sale of derivatives and is completely a child of the Bush "Ownership Society" where everyone could own their own home. The president heralded it it two state of the unions and along with the Chairman of the Fed and the Secretary of the Treasury vouched for the stability of exotic mortgage funding choices.
I fully understood your point but using a single misstatement of an event occurring 55 years ago when your party has failed to balance a budget in 31 successive attempts with 3 or 4 intervening Democratically balanced budgets and yes Clinton surpluses hardly seems to prove your point. The amount of misinformation presented on this site by both sides is astounding but I am fairly sure that those on the right would win hands down at least for bad sourcing. Fox News, Rightwing Blogs, The Heritage Foundation, American Enterprise, The Chamber of Commerce et al are not valid sourcing and in fact exist solely to provide disinformation supporting policy choices of the right.

Willard Mitt Romney was born Willardo Macho Romeo by a Mexican mother and a French father in Mexico in 1947. His Father's distant cousin (George Romney) took him in when he was a teenager, changed his name to Willard Mitt Romney (the Willard was an homage to his friend Willard "Bill" Marriott the CEO of Marriott Intl.) And obtained a fake Michigan Birth certificate for the young boy in a plan to one day install him as President of the United States so as to destroy the country to complete Montezuma's revenge.
Shows you how dumb people can be!! Thermen Merman are you a relation to Ethel? If so, you sure do take after her. Loud and boisterous!! You can't even get your facts straight. Do your research before making @#!*& statements like that. - and I'm including all of the candidates not just Mr. Romney.
Carole ... look up satire.
Now that is funny! Let the Romney 'birther' movement begin!
That is sooooo funny!
ROFLMAO! Thank you. :)
And Mitt Romney's mother and Rick Santorum's mother we both mothers. Yea thats right, you heard it hear first.
Most liberals don't understand satire.
And, as usual, Rick has been proven wrong even before he posted.
Actually, most of Rick's posts are widely thought to be satire until people come to the alarming realization he is serious. I bet he gets very little eye contact from the people who come to know him, too.
@ Sailcat: This Rick is what most would call ; "an unaccomplished evader of anything of factuality or reality". Regards
Two thumbs, way up, Mac!
This must be true, I read it hear.
Love it Therman. That has to be one of the funniest posts I've ever read. Where are the birthers?!?!?
I believe Mitt can defeat O'Yama. We do not want the Entire United States to turn into another Detroit.
That is exactly what Willard's plan is. Destroy the middle class. He got a good start while at Bain.
It is the goal of the REPUBLICAN PARTY to have unemployment above thirty percent. That way when they pull their money out of China they will beable to now have a labor force that will except minimum wage or less and no benefits to work in their factories here in the United States of America. To a REPUBLICAN PARTY Member high unemployment is a blessing to their new factories here in America.
@Thermen Merman: You're gooood. Be looking for you. Thanks
It is the goal of the REPUBLICAN PARTY to have unemployment above thirty percent.
By golly, that's got to be right. Nothing says success better than having a consumer society incapable of buying anything. Gotta hand it to those republicans, those evil, corporate shills only wanting to further the corporations in their destruction of their consumer base, you know, the one's buying the products and services produced by the corporations...oh, wait...
Looks like the obvious is beginning to materialize.
Mitt Romney will be the GOP nominee. Mitt Romney will soon be President Romney.....for the next eight years.
Time to put the new President's agenda on the front burner and get cooking.
fu$$ Romney. he is a prick.
Except of course for those pesky polls that have him losing by double digits to Obama in a one on one.
Other than that I'm sure you mean.
Parent also believes in unicorns and that he is smart and handsome, too. His delusions are pretty out there.
William,
the majority of pollster takers are run by liberal think-tanks. The only "poll" that matters is 11/06/12, when Mitt Romney will be elected the 45th president of the United States.
Obama/Biden 2012
when Mitt Romney will be elected the 45th president of the United States.
Hopefully he will avoid that by opening his mouth and start talking about all the things that he has:
2 Cadillacs
Nascar teams
Billions of dollars in the Cayman Island and Switzerland...Don't worry, if people have bad memory THE DEMOCRATS WILL REMIND THEM.
@Joseph E. Parent #9: And you shall become rich and renowned as an accomplished reader of tea leaves, and the holder of pornographic seances. More power to you there, "2 cylinder".
spoken with common sense.......a rare comodity.
I hope Obama wins. I really do.
Amen arizona_seahawk call it like it is.
whyn does this coc$$ suc$$ just not go away. Romney will take this united states down because he wantsnmsomeyhing his father could not have what a prick.
Your GED is calling , go get it!!
and you're a dirt mouth
And he got voted up...that should really scare you...
fact is if romney walked into my front yard i would have him arrested. along with his secret service agents which arnt going to save him.
Yeah right, I don't think you have anything to worry about pal.
if you had a front yard
As always the proof-readers at MSNBC continue to amaze me.
Its that liberal education hard at work.
MSNBC has made the mistake of employing the same proof reading firm as does Fox.
Yep, Brian Williams signed the contract himself...Chris Hanson verified it, so we know its true.
Proofreading is subed (subbed?) out to India.
Proofreading is subdued and rather suppressed...out to India.
If you notice Romney only wants the states with the big number of delegates. He'd just as well pi$$ on the little delegate states in his book, he could loose all of those, he just wants the big ones.
Its a preview of what he has in store if the douche ever gets the keys to the WH.
Romeny will carry the Red states and will do the best against Obama in the swing states.
You do realize that out of the four Romney is the only candidate that campaigns in and has a organized organization in every state. Santorum did even have delgates selected in 10 congressional districts in Illinois and did the same thing in Ohio. Tweedle Dee and Twiddlle Dum didn't even visit Illinois.
You mean the big ones like Hawaii and the Pacific island votes and Puerto Rico.....those big states?
Romney has a good chance at fixing the economy. He has done similar things before.
Santorum will pray to fix the economy.
'nough said.
Yes but you can't sell off parts of the country and steal everyone's retirement benefits.
tpjp,
Romney is the only candidate (including his soon-to-be opponent Obama), who is actually qualified in economic background/experience to turn this country's economy around.
I was always told by older voters "always elect a rich guy as President -- he won't have to steal".
Romney has enough money to where he could afford to work for $1.00 per year.........
@Liberals are clowns #14.2: Yeah. Around and around, then down, down, down. I won't worry too much though. He'll never be closer to being President than you will.
He won't bow to leaders of other countries and throw Israel under the bus
@Jackie-1496878: We'll never know.
Indeed.
YA Romney has experience in letting companies go bankrupt then selling off the assets. That is what he will do to the United States. If he does creat jobs they will be minimum wage jobs.
Dimmitt. The President is one lucky man. Chalk it up. Democrats win. Nitmitt.
Google Santorum...I think that just about describes you Rick. Your a dork, you dress funny, and a religious nut....we had one of those for eight years and look where our country is today because of it. Go home and plant placentas, that's something you 've had lots of experience doing.
No maybe You're a dork. You mean "you're" NOT "your"
Putting the dork issue aside for a moment, Santorum is indeed a "religious nut" and richly deserves all of the ridicule he has been receiving.
Sailcat-2064101
Obviously a well thought out and carefully worded response. It probably took several hours to research that so you could assure yourself you had a reasonably accurate post.
@Rick-312779: Least "Sailcat" is coherent, accurate and truthful. You've never been either. The buds on your pile never blossom. Took me about a minute to write this.
Sail
Like what was in yours?
You're not offended by the "dork" thing, are you, Ferro? I didn't mean to offend all dorks; I just thought it was getting in the way of a rational discussion.
And would someone explain the definition of "rational discussion" to Rick, please? He will be at the dictionary for a good hour or more trying to parse out the definition. It is a concept with which he is completely unfamiliar, you know.
@Sailcat: This Rick isn't a dictionary person. He/She commits to pontificating from the teachings of "Frank Luntz". Reads the script, throws in a liberal sprinkling of lies, then sits back and grins like a Jackass with a toothache. Regards
You are right, as usual, Mac!
I love Mitt and so do a million other Americans - so folks sit back and enjoy the ride.
Like a water slide it will be a short one straight downhill.
Punk, a million people aren't going to be enough to vote Romney into office since there are approximately 300 million people in America. Good luck with that nomination! LOL
Mitt Romney has more wealth than tha last 8 Presidents combined. He is Wall Street and all its greed . Unless you net worth is more than $4,000,000.00 he does not have your interest at heart. He said of all the toxic houses, that they should be sold and bought by investors like him, and them turn them into rentals. I just read an article about people not being able to pay rent on $11.00 an hour as wages. He has their interests at heart. Coldless robot, no personality. Wife his heavy weight champ. Don't bring back George B. No more stupid people, pleas,!!! Dog on roof of car. Ekkkkk.
does Fantomdog know that children can't vote?
@Punk-2473538 #17: This is a political discussion. Ain't no place here for romance. Damned inappropriate. You want to talk about riding Mitt, find another forum.
I hate mitt and so do millions of Americans, enjoy the fantasy while you can.
I hate the GOP, what they are doing is criminal.
If I had my way they would all be tried for treason.
Guess you think adherance to the UN over the US constitution is good?
Looks like Romney will be the nominee. While not conservative enough for me, I think he'll do a pretty good job when elected President in November. He'll be more effective when the Senate is in Republican hands as well.
Completely agree, Blamo. We need a hands-on, analytic person to get America's fiscal house in order and Romney is the only one in this crop who is qualified to do it. Obama clearly doesn't have a clue.
okay guys, the short bus is ready to leave so you both better get on it.
Life definitely will be a lot nicer with a proven leader unlike the man we have in office now. Clinton was better.
You are misinformed on your beliefs. Mitt Romney has not a clue as to the average American. No, I'm wrong, he makes a day what the average family makes a year. Unless you have millions, you are voting against what's best for you and you are too slow to get it. People like you and the present senate and house are just about your party, not the people. And both parties are owned by corporate and special interest. The only way to get a start on recovery is voting out every senator and congress person. Hit the restart, they could'nt do any woes.
Romney flipped business that is his expertise. He is also an expert in sending jobs to China as a result. This nation needs to stop printing money like it is water, and stop racking up an ungodly amount of debt, namely fighting stupid wars, that seem to never cease against enemies that could never, ever threaten our national security. Russia and China with nukes could threaten us, but nobody else can come close. Afghanistan? Please. Iran has the second lowest per capita defense spending in the entire ME, and they are the bogey man? OK they might get the bomb, so what, they don't have a missile that could hit Europe, and Israel has 6 nuke attack subs now so Iran can forget about hitting Israel. Mr. Romney isn't going to stop the increased money flow, because of his banker handlers, same for Obama. The banks make a bundle off of war also, on both sides of the spectrum. They make money when the US spends money on defense, and they make money via the IMF/World Bank, when these destroyed nations need to rebuild. If the destroyed nations can't repay the loans with huge interest rates, the banks take over that nations natural resources and means of production. Nice little scam going on and both parties are getting uberrich off of it.
It's Romney all the way. The GOP should dump him and select Christie or Petraeus at the convention, but they have no cojones.
Come on RADICAL. We may as well shoot for the moon. Dennis Miller for Prez, Ted Nugent for Vice!
Ted would have to explain that little thing he had for underage girls. Especially hard to do because he was sober then and still is. So he knew they were underage. Including the one he basically adopted while he was having sex with her. Not exactly Rick Santorum is he?
Flip Flop..Flip Flop Mitt went up the clock (on Nov 6)... the clock spoke Obama... and Mitt came tumbling down and all the king 1%ers got together went to watch one of their football teams or Nascar teams. Vote Obama 2012
bam bam hates America and needs to go back to his homeland....
Hawaii? The foreign born lie just keeps getting repeated.
.
You failed to mention spent this Country into oblivion. Sold weapons to Mexican drug cartels. Is the laughing stock of our enemies, and the nemesis of our allies. Shut down Gulf drilling. Nixed the Keystone pipeline. Has caused healthcare rates to rise via his unconstituional healthcare bill. Lied about the cost of the bill. Made recess appointments when the Senate was not in recess. Gave billions to idiotic "green energy" companies that promtptly failed and pocketed the money. This is just a few off the top of my balding pate.
Clinton handed Bush a surplus.Bush handed Obama a recession, rising unemployment, two wars, and the largest deficit ever up til then.
Blamo: "Lied about the cost of the bill".....But, no one died when Obama lied.
Devil's Son
#23.2
Clinton handed Bush a 5 trillion national debt and a recession with rising unemployment.
http://www.thestreet.com/story/10959884/2/national-debt-a-look-at-presidents-tabs.html
Clinton handed Bush a surplus and then they flew into the twin towers. It's a small miracle the country recovered at all.
Does Slightlyold know that more soldiers have died in the last 3 years than in the previous 8? Check the facts.
No one died when Obama lied? Tell that to Brian Terry and a host of dead Mexicans.
Mr Romney: You are I believe a Republican! You have all those tin cans tied to your tail called Republican partisanship which has destroyed the very roots of democracy in recent years. Do you actually believe Americans are going to vote for a Republican after four years of failed congressional behavior attributable in large part to your party! It isn't going to happen!
Yes we are! If you think americans are going to vote for 5 dollar gas and 9 percent unemployment with 6 million missing jobs...HA HA HA . Get real. Its over.
jolly,
you are dead on about Hussein and the republican house and senate!
Replace hussein and republican house and senate!
Romney needs blue-Dogs dems and moderate repubs to achieve his moderate views on politics!
2BadpPole: Someone finally noticed. yep. "Jolly" is dead. (:>)
Historically speaking, the Repubs may be fielding a less-than-ideal mix of candidates overall, with no real quarter-horse to lead out front.
But, hey, c'mon.....no matter who ultimately gets the nod, they get to run against OBAMA, inarguably the least-prepared, worst performing, blame-it-all-on-someone-else POTUS this nation has ever suffered through.
Anybody currently running would be a huge improvement !
Problem here is that Obama is smarter, a better speaker under pressure, shown better leadership with the war, got Ben L, saved the auto industry after Bush saved it, so while I wish there was a Republican who could win they can't!
Obama smarter? Since when did intelligence have anything to do with destroying a nation?
Better speaker under pressure? What are you smoking? Take away his teleprompter and he becomes half retarded. LOL
Better leadership with the war? Which one? And I thought he was supposed to end them, not start new ones. LOL
Got BenL? If you believe that then I have a bowl of turds for sale. I'll even tell you they are turds, but because you are so stupid you'll buy it anyway.
Saved the auto industry? So, if I rob you of everything you own and put you out on the street, but give everything thing I stole from you to a homeless man, can I say that I saved a homeless man?
Why won't you people give your brain a chance, it is an amazing experience.
Unfortunately you're too stupid to understand that without the actions taken by President Obama, our whole economy would have gone down the poilet. Ronald Reagan did the same thing when Chrysler nearly went under. I guess it's smart when Republicans do it, but stupid when it's done by the Democrats. But, President Obama did one very stupid thing, he tried to work with the Republicans in the House, and Senate, until it became chrystal clear that they had no intention of working with him.
RealAmerican: Better listen to some of President Obama's speeches on the trail. Mitt will fail when it comes to a debate (providing he is actually the nominee.
Obama has the advantage in that he only has to argue one side of an argument; even if Mitt can argue both sides of a position, who really liked the best kid in the Debate Club?
Hey Super X.......did you hear his speech about doctors not treating diabetic patients so they could make more money cutting their feet off? The DUMBEST person I know would never say anything that stupid. Every one stop with the how smart Obama is. He thinks there are 57 states......yeah, 57 states of Islam. Why is everyone so afraid to point out all the idiotic things he says?
So Mark, was he working with the republicans when he literally shut the door on his little bribery session with Nebraska and Louisiana? Do you think we"ve all lost our memories? Was he working with congress when both dems and repubs voted for Keystone and he vetoed it? Wake up and think. At least try to use your head and look at the facts instead of going off emotion.
Amazing! Obama give them their talking points and they memorize them. Now, if only they could think beyond that particular script.
Obama didn't veto Keystone! You apparently don't have a memory. Canadian oil to export terminals in the Gulf Of Mexico for International export at the expense and risk to OUR environment and the safety of aquifers for eight states.
Brillant... but it looks like you stupid hate filled idiot's on the right will get your wish sooner than later...Thanks for destroying America one day and one state at a time! You White Hillbilly Power brokers!
A real American
Aren't you tired of that teleprompter nonsense? It is dumb and not at all accurate and you know that. So who is somebody who says something they know is not true.
With an operating brain, one would not just regurgitate false talking points. They ones who started this stuff aren't stupid, they just think you're stupid and might believe it. So keep repeating it and show that they were right all along.
